What a great company

Great company. Replaced my battery. Despite being so busy, the guys there are so efficient and helpful. Lovely clean reception/waiting room more like a csr show room, free drinks couldn’t recommend them more

Superb Service - What a contrast to disfunctional web retailers

I rang tyres Northampton to get a price for 4 new tyres. The quote was very competitive. They rang me two days later to say the tyres were now in stock. I took the car in that afternoon and the job was completed in 45 minutes including checking and adjusting the tracking. Staff were friendly and helpful. A good experience all round.

Dead battery? Apparently not!

I've been a customer and advocate of Tyres Northampton for many years. However, yesterday they told me my car battery had 0% charge and 6% health (during an MOT & service).

The battery is less than a year old and had been fitted by the RAC so I declined Tyres Northampton's offer to fit a new one and instead contacted the RAC under warranty. They tested the battery and found it to be in perfect health.

When I rang Tyres Northampton I was told their testing machine was brand new and not faulty then when I told them the results from the RAC testing they said they would be sending their machine back to the manufacturers.

I also asked how they'd managed to drive my car into their workshop from where I'd parked it with a battery on 0% charge and they couldn't give me an answer.

I asked for my concerns to be passed to a manager and for them to call me - radio silence since then.

Such a shame as I had always trusted them.

Very poor service yesterday after…

Very poor service yesterday after getting a tyre changed after hitting a pot hole and quoted £318 just to change a coil spring and extra work thst didn't need doing. Thankfully I went to my local garage who did the work (only the work the required doing) for £125 a big difference after 15 years of getting tyres from here I will never be returning.

Went to Tyres Northampton to have one…

Went to Tyres Northampton to have one tyre changed,
Waited over 2 hours. Then I got up off the seating area to stretch my legs.At this point I noticed that my vehicle had been moved. After seeing this, I asked the representative behind the counter if she knew how much longer it was going to take.
And I explained that I’ve been waiting over two hours,
At this point, she informed me that the vehicle had been completed !
I wonder how long I would’ve had to wait?
Before anyone would’ve informed me !
I don’t understand usually the service is very good .?

1st visit to tyres northampton

1st visit to tyres Northampton after noticing a screw head in the centre of my rear tyre, although the tyre didnt appear to have lost any air i was leaving for my holidays the following day and didnt want to take any chances during the 500 mile round trip.
once at Northampton tyres my keys were handed over and i sat in the very nice waiting area, only 5 mins went by when i was visited by someone who explained that due to the location of the puncture the tyre could not be repaired and a new tyre was required which was quoted at £350 fitted. i queried the location of the screw as i had seen it in the centre of the tyre but i was told that i indeed had 2 punctures in my tyre and one of them was close to the edge and this was unrepairable.
after agreeing to get a new tyre fitted they didnt have the tyre in stock but it was available the following day.
As i was driving to the coast at 5am the following day i really needed a new tyre fitted that day so i rang around a few garages trying to find one that had the tyre in stock, after a few calls i found a garage in MK so travelled down to the garage for them to fit the tyre. as they took the wheel off the car they pulled out the screw head and the screw was very small (just a head) and not even long enough to puncture the tyre, i then explained that there should be another puncture on the edge of the tyre, the fitter looked and said he cant find anything and even took the tyre off the rim to check inside and nothing was found and the tyre was not leaking any air and reinstalled the tyre back on my car and it hasnt lost any air in the past 2 weeks..
luckily i was in a rush due to going on holiday the next day otherwise i would have been conned out of £350. i assumed dodgy garages were a thing of the past but unfortunately there's still the odd one about. if you visit this garage and are told you need a new tyre please go and get a second opinion.
