UKPC – A Parking ‘Enforcement’ Scam That Preys on Residents

Bravo, UK Parking Control Ltd — you’ve managed to turn a quiet residential car park into a circus of fraudulent fines and frustration. Residents park in the very bays they pay rent for, display valid permits, and yet somehow your operatives still “can’t see” them unless the sun and their camera angles align perfectly. Incredible skill — deception disguised as incompetence.

I have a legal tenancy agreement confirming my right to park and a valid permit, but UKPC prefers theatre over truth. Their behaviour fits perfectly within the Fraud Act 2006 (Section 2) and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (Reg. 5) — deliberate misrepresentation for financial gain. The British Parking Association Code of Practice (Clause 20.5a) also forbids misleading photographs, but rules seem optional here.

UKPC’s business model appears simple: invent the problem, fabricate the evidence, demand money, and hope the resident gives up. It’s harassment dressed up as “enforcement.” If you enjoy false accusations and hours wasted fighting nonsense, then by all means, move somewhere they operate. Otherwise, steer clear — your patience and sanity will thank you.

unreasonable company

We stopped on a side street off a main road. we did NOT park we were in the vehicle with the engine running waiting to collect a family member. the only sign was spray painted in black so could not be read. they claim we were in a private carpark there was No carpark it was a side street just off a main busy road. they say it was private property but it is a council kept road. we appealed as we never left the car and it was not parked. But they will not listen. we will have to pay £60.00 because otherwise they charge £100 and make it impossible to get further help. if the council road is theirs they need to replace signage but they havent. With all the unfair fines they should take up the tarmac and lay Red carpet on the side street and possibly put little gold gates on the entrance so normal people with normal minds know this is a private Road it certainly does not say so. This company is unfair unreasonable and certainly not a company you want to have any dealings with.

Absolute scum bags

Absolute scum bags. Received a fine although I was a genuine customer of the shop in question and proved this with multiple receipts. Appeal was denied, even though selecting 'genuine customer' is an option on their form. Total money grabbing scum!! That's putting it politely.

Scum

Scum. I did not agree to their poorly laid out terms and will NOT be paying a penny to these people.

They do not listen, they do not consider circumstances and they are only interested in taking your money.

The 1000+ poor reviews speak for themselves. This is a disgraceful company that thinks they can demand what they like from people. I THINK NOT.

A word to any business owners using this company for their car parks - i have cancelled my gym membership and will never visit my local retail park again due to how UKPC have acted. The £100 they have demanded has cost the retail park £1000's in the long run as i will spend elsewhere.

UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC) is one of…

UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC) is one of the most complained-about parking companies in the country — over 1,000 negative reviews online says it all. The way this business treats ordinary people is a disgrace. Hidden signs, unfair tickets, and automated rejection letters are the norm. They make it almost impossible to contact a real person or get a fair review of any so-called “offence.”

The directors behind this outfit — Benedict Michael Cooke and Kenan Thomas Erkul — should be utterly ashamed of how this company operates. When a business racks up over a thousand bad reviews, that’s not a coincidence, it’s a pattern. Shame on them for allowing this to continue.

UK Parking Control Ltd gives a bad name to the entire parking industry. If you see their name anywhere, take photos, document everything, and prepare for a battle — because fairness clearly isn’t part of their business model.

They don’t even read your emails

I got a 4 hour ticket as I do once a week for me and my sister to shop so we don’t have to panic if gone over 2 hours, I don’t know what happened to the ticket I think it fell on the floor when I have shut the door but after seeing the evidence pics I knew I would have to pay the 60 quid, but the fine was posted late so it was over the 14 days so they now want 100 which I am not willing to pay, trying to sort it is like wading through mud, you can’t talk on the phone you can’t reply to emails so I will see them in court as it’s not my fault the mail was late, they are really getting on my nerves.

Dont take ill in a UKPC car park. They are a JOKE.

UKPC are an absolute joke of a company. They steal money from you, and do not give a shit about it.
I drove through the night, from Glasgow to Kings Lynn in Norfolk, to collect my new car. I arrived in Kings Lynn at 4.15am., which was a lot earlier than I planned, so I nipped into a local McDonalds for a meal and a hot drink. Unfortunately, as I returned to my car with my food, I started to feel unwell, and had to rush back into McDonalds to quickly use their toilet facilities. I was getting worse by the minute, and it took me some time to get myself back outside for some fresh air. Im a retired man, and my health has been getting unpredictable, and although the large car park was almost empty, (about 5 cars), I was rather embarrassed as I had to again rush back into the toilets. Eventually, after another long spell in the gents, I managed to return to my car. I was still very unwell, and sat for a while with my door open, to get as much fresh air into my lungs as possible. I decided to go back into McDonalds, for a drink, but as I stood up, I unfortunately, vomited at the side of my car, so I had to sit back down, to try and regain my composure etc. I did manage to get onto my feet, and headed into McDonalds again for the drink that I now really needed. While in there I got a handfull of napkins and bottles of water to clean up the mess I had made at the side of my car. I apologised to the manager and staff, and they honestly, couldn't have been any kinder or more helpful. After tidying up etc, I had to sit a while in my car, as my eyes were streaming, and I simply couln't drive out onto the main roads, that were now beginning to get some local traffic on them. However, when I did regain my composure, I lef the car park and continued my journey to drop off the hire car I was driving, at the local Enterprise car hire branch. I then collected my new car at the local car dealership, and eventually headed back home to Glasgow. However, a few days later, I received an email from UKPC., the clowns that regulate the times cars go in and out of the McDonalds car park, and to my amazement, had sent me a fine for £50.00., for over staying in the car park. I was absolutely shocked, as the car park was empty, as it was 4.15am., and yes, I was over the time allowed, but who was I bothering? Who couldn't get a parking space because of my car being parked there, over the allowcated time? So I emailed them back, and explained the unfortunate predicament I found myself in, due to me taking a bad turn, in the car park. But they responded quickly and NO, absolutely No way will they wave the fine, or even reduce it. They said they were sympathetic to the circumstances that I was in, but as I over stayed, even tho the car park was empty, and I was totally unwell, I have been forced by this terrible company, to pay the £50.00., fine, and they added another £1.50 admin fee, which is another bloody joke. This company UKPC should be shut down by the government as quickly as possible, and I'm going to make it my lifetime project, to do my best, and write to as many companies and governing bodies as possible, to shut this absolute daylight robbery scandal of an outfit down.

Looks like. Parking companies will be paying back delivery drivers.

Just like to say now. I have lobbying local government. For delivery drivers.
Being charged. Simply doing their job.
No matter what the signs say now.
There is now 10min.grace period for delivery drivers.
I still lobbying local government. As the i feel that parking companies are exeding the high Court ruling of clear and obvious. To charge delivery drivers.
It looks like good news. Delivery drivers can claim their money back. I am still looking into this. Lobbying local government clarification on this matter.
Thanks Lyndon.
