the bartender is always right
Friday night I ordered three gin and tonics, the best ones, and I asked the waiter which gin she recommended. The music is loud, so I say "I trust you'll get me the best ones, thank you". She pours me a brown beverage, so I assume it's an exquisite brown gin I never heard of.
My friend sips it, and says "it's whisky, it's fine". so I walk back to her, and go: "sorry, why did you serve me whisky when I ordered gin?" She replies: "you asked for a recommendation." I say "no, I ordered gin". At this point she steps back and calls someone out. I. was ready to let go and pay for gins as well, but next thing I know a security guard grabs my arm and escorts me out of there.
I wasn't drunk, I didn't call names, I wasn't fighting, I wasn't violent when they humiliated me in front of everyone.
Worst experience ever, on a night that's meant to be a safe space for queer people like me.
