We paid £17 a ticket for three females to turn up. We were told by the restaurant that this was the only available table.
We spoke to a representative and they said we had paid £17 for the opportunity.
We weren’t offered a refund - they offered us another date to book onto for free.
I could have come to the restaurant off my own back and not paid £17 and would have had no different an experience. The representative was genuinely laughing on the phone.

We are sorry to hear that the males that were booked on did not turn up or let us know that they were not attending. It was yourself, your friend and one other female attendee that attended. We had booked our table and all attendees that had turned up were shown by the venue to the same one table so there was no issue. Our bookings team member that made a courtesy call to you during the event to check all was ok and if any qs confirmed that we had made a booking on the venue's website and received an email confirmation of our table booking.
We can assure you that our bookings team member was not laughing at you in any way whatsoever. You had asked what the ticket payment was for. And our bookings team member had clarified that it is £15.03 that we get minus the booking fee. This is for the opportunity to meet single people at our events. If all attendees had turned up yesterday this would have been good value for money. You had also said that you could go to a venue by yourself. Our bookings team member had said that yes you could of course do that, but then you would be on your own table and how would you know who else in the venue is single?.
We have offered the reschedule/ event credit. We have a No Refunds' policy as stated on our event page, order form and terms. If the gender balance is skewed as stated on the event page we do not offer a refund.

Absolutely awful; a scam as the other reviews say. They book a table 30 minutes before the event is meant to start and no one else shows up. No responsibility is taken and no refunds offered; only 6 people were meant to be at our event - surely that’s not enough to host a dating event as people could drop out or not make it. Do not ever book.

I booked a ticket for Friday 5th of July in Birmingham City centre through Eventim with unified dating. I arrived at the event and was the only attendee. I waited there for nearly two hours during which time I attempted to contact unified dating through Eventim and they were uncontactable. I received a number of emails regarding other events that they were arranging, but none to say that the event was going to be postponed or that not enough attendees had bought tickets. Instead I sat alone with no way to reach the provider. Disgusting to have paid 17 for the humiliation of sitting alone for two hours. Absolute scam.

On these you can also see the name of the ticketing platform through which you made your ticket purchase. Can you please email us and confirm the name of the ticketing platform through which you purchased your ticket, can you please also confirm to which venue you arrived and what time you arrived and if you were seated on our booked table area, the order notification email and your ticket stated what to ask the staff on arrival at the venue so that you arrive to our booked table area for this event.

We have requested the venue address and after a long wait, we were told that the venue address will not be given until 2 hours prior to the event start time. If you like to know where you're going in advance I'd avoid this event.

Should have read these reviews before booking. First event with them, and they "reschedule" an hour before the event start, as if the problems with the event couldn't be known earlier in the day. I'd wasted time and money travelling in by that point. Keep requesting a refund and the only response I ever get is about swapping for another ticket (which will no doubt also need rescheduling). Do the decent thing and refund your customers!

This is not a scam. We had our booking yesterday with the venue that we had made over the phone. You were not on your own - you were with two other attendees as confirmed by the venue to us over the phone and the attendees.
This venue works with us and we cannot accept responsibility if a manager on duty cannot recall. We have emailed them email message thread which confirms that they agreed to work with us. We have made previous bookings to yesterday's with this venue and not encountered any problems.
You had not read our Order Notification Email and your ticket which clearly stated that we do not have Unified Dating staff at the event. It will be the attendees and venue staff. It also states that any food/ drinks you need to pay for.
This was simply a drinks event where attendees seat together and enjoy drinks and meet new people.

I would give no stars if I could. I went to Bill's in Bath for the singles brunch event today. Was so disappointing. Basically you pay £16 for unified dating to book a table. Only one other person turned up. There should be a host and only go ahead if so many people are booked. Should have away of matching after or you got that awkward moment of swapping or not swapping numbers, if you even get that opportunity. The waitress says it happens alot where only one person turns up and sits for hours by themselves. Could really knock someone's confidence. The venues should take some responsibility to look after us. Our table wasn't even set a side I had to choose it. Very awkward, uncomfortable and disappointing. These events should be stopped or organised properly

Currently if you want to exchange details this is between yourselves.
Our order notification email and the ticket states that attendees should arrive on time. It is out of our control if some attendees arrive late.
We had a table area for our booking, it seems that the venue staff were simply offering for you to choose a preferred table area that you were happy with!.
It states on the order notification email and on your ticket that our events are generally small to medium in size (i.e. 3 to 20 attendees). If some attendees arrive late or do not turn up this can impact on the event experience. It also states on these to contact us if you want us to contact the attendees to see if they are on their way, however, we were not contacted by yourself or the other attendee that was present informing us to check if the other attendees were on their way.

Waste of money and time
There was a total of 3 of us and one of them was my friend who I went with. I think it should have been cancelled with small amount that attended! Very disappointed that i paid £16 to not even get a free drink or that there wasn’t even a host there. Went into this hoping you could meet someone in person rather than dating apps but it was even more disappointing than the apps. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone to be honest was a waste of money, like I said should’ve been cancelled with the low numbers. There could’ve been some ice breakers or something especially since you’ve paid money.

Our events are a relaxed and friendly way to meet new people over food/ drinks. Our events can be generally small to medium in size as was stated on the order notification email and on your ticket. There can be 3 to 20 people at the events depending on how many are booked and attend on the day. Numbers can vary and that is the nature of live events.

a one star review is way too high for these shower of charletons i booked for the 7th of april for the over 50s event .. i noticed that i was male number 2 on the email i received ..and this was the morning of the event it didn't look like it was gonna be busy .. and i was right .. I have been advised by the people in unified dating that the number 2 on my email was the gender... 1 being women.. 2 being men...
while i was on my way into the event ..actually on the train i got an email to say it was rescheduled no reason given no excuses no apologies ... putting 2 and 2 together they had no people to turn up ...yet they knew that when they took my money .. and wont give it back they gave me 2 free tickets to the next one ..but what happens when they reschedule that one and the next and the next .. there are a litany of people here left disappointed by their regular rescheduling and rescheduling these events .. never cancelled just rescheduled just kicking the can down the road AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

False advertising
I booked on to what I believed to be a 28+ bisexuals single night.
The first sign of trouble was when the event coordinator phoned my about half an hour ahead of the event and used me as a proxy to book a table for six at the destination which felt somewhat cheeky and ill organised on their behalf.
Over the course of the evening the three people who arrived at what we had been originally led to believe was one event, no two of us had purchased tickets to the same event. We had one woman who booked a ticket to a bisexual 28+ event plus one man who had booked a ticket to a 28+ gay event. Then the final attendee who was straight, had booked a ticket to an event with an age range of 18-30 and so was surprised to meet other attendees in their 30s.
Given we were told that 6 people were attending and we have evidence of 3 different events that had been merged, we can assume that unified dating feels that 2 people is a viable minimum to run an event which leaves them 0 leeway for any dropouts. Nor at any point did they made clear that the events had been combined before we discovered this by talking to the other participants and comparing informations
If a ticket is advertised and sold for an event with a particular sexuality and age range it feels reasonable to expect that the other participants would also match said age range and sexuality. Not to discover what's actually being run is a merged all sexualities all ages event. Their customer service in responding to my complaints email then contradicted what they had said on the phone on the night when and claimed that I had never been told that the other participants had booked the same event as me. I lost interest in arguing a X said/Y said as they had already wasted sufficient quantities of my time.
They offered a ticket to rebooked event in compensation which, given the previous experience, did not seem worth it given I would need to apply more sunk costs in travel and food at the venue, especially given they would not answer my question about whether that the second event would only be 28+ bisexuals or also a merger of whatever was underbooked that week.

These events were advertised correctly. It was simply that the attendees for your and the other attendees' events had not turned up or let us know. If they had let us know we would have been able to reschedule in good time.
Our bookings team member had asked if you could call them when you arrive at the venue as we had been trying to call the venue several times but there was no pick up. We needed to speak with the venue regarding our booking for that day and any relevant details. When you had called our bookings team member it appeared that you had spoken with the venue on our behalf which is not what our bookings team member had asked. We had asked you to call us so that we could speak with the venue.
These were separate events but because it was less than 8 people due to attend on that day we had seated the attendees together. This is also what our bookings team member had stated to you when you had asked on this. Typically, our separate events will be on separate table areas. However, on this occasion we had seated the attendees together. Had all the attendees arrived including for your event then each person of the attendees that had turned up will have had another 1 to 2 people at least that was for their event.
The reschedule was for your specific event and this was mentioned in our emails to you.
It is not correct that it is false advertising and we strongly ask that you consider editing your review to avoid us looking into what legal remedies are available to us.

Look at all the other one star ratings and I don’t really have to say anything it really speaks for itself. Do not book from this company all they care about is money and I don’t think they communicate with each other so they don’t know there A to there elbow, they mix genders and sexuality’s up if they don’t have enough people for particular ones e.g. Gay single’s, lesbian singles and straight how’s that supposed to work? I know it can’t be helped if people don’t attend but they need to come up with a better system so you’re guaranteed there will actually be people there as I can’t see people paying for it then just not showing up so makes me wonder does unified dating make up number’s.

That is my main advice. Reading through all the reviews with 84% with 1 star (I would give 0 if it was an option). I really wish like so many others that I had seen these review first before booking. I was given an hours notice that the 'event' had been rescheduled on the day on the event. I kept emailing re a refund (yes I know re no refunds however surely if you cancel so late you would have the respect to refund and at least apologise- no apology). I eventually had a reply to refund me only because I kept emailing.
Once more please do not book on to the events- read all the reviews first!

Poor organisation, poor service. Stay away!
I booked onto one of their speed dating (EDIT: Semantics, it was a 'singles dinner', clearly not the point here) events, which only had a city posted not an actual location. Unfortunately, like most people here I suspect, I did not take the time to read the reviews before paying.
I requested a refund when they had not posted a location on the day of the event, which they declined saying they would post it *at the latest* 2 hours before the start time (which is insane - how is anyone suppose to organise on that short notice? Part of the scam.), that time passed and I sent them an email once again asking for a refund. They replied stating they had "not received confirmation from other attendees" (i.e I was the only person who booked on the event, there is no 'confirmation' that they request) and that they will "reschedule". Why should I trust that they will reschedule, when they did not properly schedule the first one?
EDIT 2: response to the company below. No it is not clear that your venue is only added 2 hours before, in the email you sent me it says "If {it is not there} the venue name and address will be added by us and visible on the event at the latest 2 days prior to the event date." Then lower down it says 2 hours. Which is it? This is also not an acceptable practise for any remotely professional event organiser, halt ticket sales for your event before the day to lock in numbers and then book the venue, or if you're a proper professional events company you could simply partner with a venue to hold regular events. But you aren't professional, you're putting in below the bare minimum of effort and charging people for it.

The event that you were booked onto was a Dinner event and the event page, order notification email and your ticket clearly stated that this is a dinner event for singles in a group environment.
The venue we add at the latest at 2 hours' prior as we use different venues depending on the numbers booked on. We had clearly stated two hours prior the venue is added on the event page, organiser page, order notification email and on your ticket. If you needed to know it prior to 2 hours before then please simply email us and we are more than happy to help.
We sometimes have people booked on from rescheduled events and therefore need people to confirm if they are attending. When booking for the first time we do not need confirmation of attending. We reserve the right to reschedule if we feel there could be a low attendance so that we avoid you going to the venue in such case.

Disgusting scammers playing on people's wish to find love. This was advertised as a lesbians event but there was only me and one male. Needless to say, I didn't stay. If I could leave 'no stars' I would. Bought tickets from Eventbrite to attend an event at Bills Restaurant. My friend and I arrived to be told there was no event and the restaurant had experienced this before. They told us that they did not allow events at their restaurant. The event was also advertised as taking place from 7.30pm to 10.00pm even though the restaurant shut at 8.00pm!!
When we returned home, both my friend and I had received emails postponing the event to the end of the month. However, again it is advertised as being at Bills and finishing at 10.00pm on a day when the restaurant shuts at 8.00pm.
My phone calls, emails and messages have since gone unanswered. I have applied for a refund through Eventbrite.
I cannot believe that this company has the nerve to do this - sell events that they have no intention of holding. Luckily my friend and I are professional, well-adjusted women, but I'm sure this would be very distressing for anyone vulnerable.

You had messaged us on Google and we had replied that this event had been rescheduled and to see our email confirming the same. Our reschedule email was sent prior to the event on 13 February 2024 at 17:53 (GMT).
We will be in touch with the venue as we have not been informed of any recent change in their opening hours. If the event needs to be changed to a different venue due to the early closing time then we will update the venue on this event's event page.

Total scam
Total scam. Location for event was not updated, so obviously didn't take place. Evening ruined. I don't care what they say about a no refund policy, if you don't provide the service that's paid for then a refund is due.

It is true that I tried to cancel but upon getting email from them I replied that I felt better and would like to attend. In any case, the location was not updated in Eventbrite meaning that all folks who had bought tickets were scammed.

You emailed us on 12th February - yesterday informing us to cancel your ticket because you felt you were unable to attend today due to not feeling well.
We asked you if you would like us to reschedule for you. We did not hear back.
We therefore did not know that you wanted to attend today and only received your email at 10pm today asking us where the event was, this was after the event start time.
We did not add the venue as yourself and some others could not make it. The venue is added to the event page at the latest at 2 hours prior to the event start time.
Please understand that your review is unfair.
