Deceptive marketing
It is advertised that the “ registration does not expire valid for the life of the animal”, it would be worth the price if this was true. So then why does my ESA letter expire after a year from the issue date? And now, they are emailing me a year later trying to get me to renew my registration. I will not purchase from you again.

However, the ESA or PSD letter issued by a licensed mental health professional must be renewed annually, as it serves as an active medical document verifying your ongoing need for an assistance animal.
This renewal requirement is set by federal housing and airline regulations, not by United Support Animals. We send reminders each year to ensure your letter remains valid and that you stay protected under these laws.

Due to HIPAA privacy regulations and federal telehealth laws, we are only permitted to deliver official Emotional Support Animal (ESA) and Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD) letters electronically via secure email. This ensures your confidential health information and therapist’s signature remain protected.
Physical copies, ID cards, or certificates are optional add-ons that can be ordered separately if desired, but the legally valid document is the PDF letter sent to your email. That letter can be printed and used for housing or travel purposes as needed.
If you did not receive your email or need help downloading or printing your letter, please contact our support team at 800-918-3151 or reply to your confirmation email — we’ll be happy to assist right away.

All landlord and housing forms must be completed and signed by a licensed mental health provider, which is why an additional provider-signature fee applies.
