Refund Denied

Refund Denied - I signed up for the tool and put some time into it. Realized it was just not going to work for me so I asked for a refund. Then emails back and forth them denying the refund and giving life lessons on how the world works. I simply asked for a refund in a timely manner as the tool did not work for me and they want to make a huge stand on it. Not cool.

Unbelievable unfriendly

Unbelievable, where simple change could help. If you want a template you have to know the code for the vehicle, with the guide to vehicles asking you to pick from some code , no idea what the code is, but its a joke. SO easy to fix and yet they make it more difficult than it needs to be eg I think this is the van Fi Du L3H3 but I have no idea what that code means. what on earth were they thinking, from there it just goes downhill. Not user friendly at all. The resolution of the software is like a 1980 DOS screen .It really is horrible, I appreciate its important to select the template but seriously I cannot even find how to start the software easily, its so clunky , its the only game in town but I would have better luck starting with a pen and paper. Maybe there is a prebuilt van you can start with, Im yet to find it, there are a million lesson and instructions but its not user friendly to find anything out, READ the reviews and believe them

It is unfortunate that you have written this review without using the vast amount of information available to you, including the beginners software course that we recommend following within your welcome email.

This course of only 7 short lessons is designed to have you completing your first layout design within the hour.

Lesson 6 is all about template selection.

Had you have followed this, you would have understood that we use the universal codes for each template, and could have very easily located the right template for your design.

You could have also clicked the question mark next to the template selection page search bar, which provides a detailed description of each template, their different names in different countries, and their dimensions.

I can not stress enough that following this course in it´s entirety gives you the flying start we want you to have, and for anything else, we have a complete help centre and knowledgable support team.

As for being user friendly, just like any other new game or software, there will be a learning curve. Following our dedicated course ensures that you learn the fundementals (and more) of the software quickly.

It would be great if you could now follow this and adjust your review,

Do not use - Terrible Software!

Do not use this software under any circumstances. This is a scam company, passing off a poor quality product over a range of social media platforms.

Their so called refund policy is totally misleading and they will refuse and frustrate the process of providing a refund if requested.

If you need a van design, then you’re better off grabbing a pen and paper than wasting your money on this rubbish… If I could have given zero then I would have.

Review responses from this company attempt to give the impression that the numerous poor reviews are from customers seeking a free trial … The fact that they don’t actually offer a free trial or at least a time limited test of the product, tells you everything you need to know..They clearly have zero confidence that their product meets their customer needs.

Hook the customer with the pretence of a ‘cooling off period’ and money back guarantee and then when they hate your product, refer them to the small print!!

Sharp business practice !!

I bought the license thinking it would help me create space for my van. Despite watching the tutorials. The tool is poor and deficient in many aspects. Don't waste your money. Scam.

Slow To Receive Access

Never received my original email to verify my account after several attempts. Tried contacting customer service per their email confirming my membership and nether source connected. I believe I was scammed $35. Very disappointed! Will contact my bank to stop payment. Fingers crossed!

I did end up receiving my access to the Vanspace products I subscribed to. Their customer service team reached out to me and advised they were busy over the weekend. I will review the actual service once I get into it.

Utter garbage

Utter garbage. Takes ages to navigate through this. Really slow. Can't even change from inches to cm. Failed to download multiple times. Graphics are poor. Just crap. Stay away. I doubt I'll get a refund

This is a response to their response! See how it is all my fault and never theres! They just scam you into buying a package that doesn't work and gaslight you to make you think it's the clients fault! Basically, I should have recieved a package that works. And thats it. Instead, I got a package that is is SO slow, poor graphics - I mean, you can't even change the inches to cm!!!! Mental!

I think it very important to make sure that any reader is aware that you have indeed contacted us before writing this review, with the following wording.

´´I'm finding that the functions on the package are very slow. Is there anything that can be done to speed this up?´´

You gave no other information, not even if Windows or Mac.

As you specifically asked if there was anything that could be done to speed this up, we provided you with a troubleshooting guide for both Windows and Mac, that focuses on the main causes of lagging programs

Incidentally, hardware problems do not evenly affect all games and design software, so even if only vanspace 3D seems to be the trigger, your hardware must still be checked.

System is below the minimum requirements
OS updates pending
Insufficient free memory
Insufficient free storage
Poor ventilation
Outdated graphics drivers

The guides also include information on lesser common but avoidable reasons.

We also included further steps should you not notice an improvement, that involves providing details about your system and relating to the listed areas above. You have not provided this information.

Sadly, you have provided far more information in this review than when you actually contacted us, the software provider, or in any responses since.

This changes things

Failed to download multiple times

This is caused by three reasons only. 1. Your connection, 2. You are running a Firewall, VPN or other network affecting program or 3, Your browser extensions

Can't even change from inches to cm

This means that something on your system is blocking the signals between your actions toggling this function in the software and the command being received by the software to act upon it.

This suggests that you are running a Firewall, VPN or other network affecting program, maybe even an Adblocker.

Could this also cause a lagging program? Absolutely. The software needs unaffected access to its own data files, which are stored locally on your system at all times.

Graphics are poor

vanspace 3D graphics are fantastic when the software is allowed to run correctly. Providing a full-screen example of what you see on the screen allows a quick determination of the full issue, along with the other information requested,

Things to consider

Are you using a second monitor? Is it branded? Is the cable used branded? What resolution is the software being forced to use if a Firewall is blocking the needed information from being read?

Our commitment to every user is that if you experience any technical issue that we can not resolve, we will refund you. However, we will absolutely attempt to resolve it, and it is not acceptable to not cooperate with us.

It is also vanspace policy not to allow any review written to sway the outcome of any technical investigation or refund request at any time. We have been in countless situations where a technical issue was resolved with some easy steps, yet the review was not updated to reflect this.

This means that we offer constant, reliable service, where expectations are known before purchase, technical help is always available, and we know what we are talking about.

I urge you to work with our team rather than against them, they only want to resolve this as quickly as possible so that you can create an amazing design.

Just to avoid...

As son as you purchased vanspace3D, you'll receive many mails per week to buy this or that: "you didn't buy this? How is it possible? Etc, etc..."
This is just unbearable.
You Ask them to stop. The answer is: "Just do it yourself".
And about updates? No answer but mails go on.
You Ask for refund. No more answer.
They send you many mails per week but if you want to contact them, you have to take a ticket and wait for days.
Just avoid this application.

I told you i wanted you to stop with your agressive commercial insistance to sell me more.
Yes, we had many mails but finally to résume, your answer was: "do it yourself".

Did you? Certainly not.
Did you propose updates ? No, it never happenned.
You just stopped everything and i didn't insist.
I've still got your application on board, i tried it few times and felt it like absolutely not intuitive.

I can see that you originally signed up to our non-license holder emailing list before purchase and that once you obtained your software licence in March 2023, these emails continued.

This consisted of 9 emails over 17 days and I absolutely agree that these emails were irrelevant to you once you became a software licence holder.

We apologise for this fault; however, it is important to note that this occurred in March 2023, over 15 months ago, and the process was dealt with at the time.

I can see that you contacted us on the 30th of March 2023 with the following words only.

Our support team replied on the very same day with the following response.

In my role as Service Team Manager, I ensure that our Support Team respond to all contacts within the business day, and then within 12 hours if received outside of normal business hours

Refund requests are also made via a tracked online process, and I am able to review the reports to ensure that all have been responded to within the advised timeframe.

I can not locate any application that has gone outside of this time.

Pretty decent bit of software - but it is NOT CAD!!

Only just bought and downloaded this last night, but I have to say, I'm impressed so far.
I don't actually have a van yet, but I'm looking for a project to keep me busy in a few years time. This is perfect for that.
Sure, the furniture is pre-designed and fairly generic, but the sizing gives an idea of what you have to work with.
Within my first 90mins, I have a design which is pretty close to what I had in my head. Colour schemes etc., I'm not too bothered about as I'll decide that once I have a van (I know... the majority are white!)

This was NEVER meant to be a CAD program, but it is a fun piece of software, that can have some real-world applications. With a bit of research, I can find more accurate internal dimensions, then I can resize things accordingly.
I'm no computer whizz-kid, but I don't understand the negative reviews about difficulty moving/placing things - just takes time and practice!

Decent software for concept designing your van

I'm a little puzzled by the load of poor reviews. I decided to try it anyway.

You should understand what you're getting: the VanSpace3D application is *not* CAD software. You cannot create your own model with infinite detail to create blueprints.
What you *can* do is very quickly create van concept designs, to pin down your favorite layout. And decorate the van as you like it.

The library of provided models is pretty extensive. But still finite, so not everything you'll want will be there.

And it still is a 3D modelling program. So if your laptop is a potato you won't be able to run it. It would have been nice if the system requirements were shown *before* prompted to buy.

Fairly happy all-in-all. The price might be a little steep for what you get, but not too bad.

Do Not Purchase, It Is Not Good!

An absolute con, yes you can design your van/bus/vehicle build, and there is even a custom template available however, if you want to make sure your wheel wells/arches are in the right place only pre-sets with the correct wheelbase is available otherwise you have to take the time and effort to make this, work out how to put your own in and 2. create a whole template, including all the windows if you are doing a bus, which you are able to do on a free version of this software. When emailed to state this is not what I paid for, they just continue to tell me I can just create my own, which is not what I want to do and why I bought this software, to make it quicker and easier. They then told me because after 6 emails back and forth that because I had given a 1 star rating 'for me I want to be real and true for others not swayed by if they give me a refund or not' they would now in fact not give me a refund, which they had not even stated they would give me anyway. So I just don't want someone else falling into their trap. Plus the software just slows my whole Mac down and drains the battery faster than anything I have ever seen. I can edit videos, work for a whole day without any issues but using this software I can only do while my Mac is on charge. Disappointing product, and poor poor support!

There is also not a free version of this software?

You have stated within your review ´´yes you can design your van/bus/vehicle build, and there is even a custom template available´´´which is exactly what we advertise and provide, and what you paid for?

Expectations of features above and beyond what we describe and show are a little out of our hands.

Your initial contact related to using a pre-made template and wanting to adjust the wheelbase, This is not an advertised feature but is available on some pre-made templates, just not on the particular bus that you had selected due to the way it is modelled.

Two recommendations were given

1. To add your own interior wheel wells within the pre-made template. with the position and dimensions required, and continue with your internal layout around these .

2. To create a custom template without selecting a front cab, and again add your interior wheel wells as desired.

Personally, I would have chosen number one as the most time-efficient. With wheelbase and wheel well dimensions easily attainable for most vehicles out there, it is very easy to do. Our support team is great at sourcing this kind of information and could have helped if you do not have access to your real-life build yet.

Of course, popping out and having a quick measure of your van is also effective, and this option also means that you do not have to place windows.

It is absolutely vanspace policy that a review does not elevate the outcome of a refund request. Once it is written, it is highly unlikely to be changed, and so we find that the end of the matter.

Finally, regarding battery depletion on Macs where you may not experience using another program, your Mac is obviously struggling to use a needed resource that is either not required in the other program, or has reached near maximum capacity with the installation of vanspace as well.

The first things that spring to mind without knowing any more details about your system are, how is your MAC health?

1. Is your OS completely up to date, with the latest OS?
2. What are the specs of your system (About this Mac)
3. Do you have the standard absolute minimum 20%+ Memory/Storage remaining?
4. Has the NVRAM, PRAM and SMC been reset?
5. Is your GPU overworked and needing you to turn off Automatic Graphics Switching
6. Have you turned off Optimised Battery Charging and Manage Battery Longevity. If they are already on, have you turned them off?

There are a few common reasons why you may be experiencing this, and we can help locate and resolve them. Thats why we recommended following the guide below and requested forwarding the information listed at the end if you need further help

I got a refund

I got a refund, but I still decided to buy the app again. So stop asking for a refund on the first day like I did. Be patient, it will take longer to get used to the program. This requires more time in the beginning, but will certainly reward the patient.

The program has a lot of ready-made items, cabinets, refrigerators, etc., the size of which you can change. This program is perfect for when you don't know exactly how to place everything in a small van and you can experiment with it. You may find that your first idea doesn't work and you have to try everything again and do it several times. You won't find another program where you can get them in seconds.

DO NOT BUY

DO NOT BUY, IT’S A SCAM!
You may be thinking this is a tool that will be helpful but it’s not. The lock their models behind a paywall, meaning you can’t see what models they have pre-made in the software before you have purchased. It came to my attention minutes after buying the software, and reached out to them for a refund right away. Their response is I can just manually type in all the measurements or request my van type, and IF it gets enough votes they will look into it.
Any honest company would just refund you as they can clearly see it’s an “honest” mistake. They don’t have my van, ok here is your money back. Also I wrote to them minutes after, and they can see I have not used the software as it requires login. It’s a scam!
The quality of the 3d modelling space is not very good either!

Edit may 13th: Im not going to reply all the points, because they are irrelevant or untrue. I am going to reply the “refund part” - I was offered a refund by email the day AFTER I made this review, but I have not received any confirmation, or the money. It was mentioned in a long email at the very end written by a customer support rep. So no refund as of yet, and it was offered the day AFTER i wrote my review. Readers can put into that what ever they want.

i. The comment ´´Their response is I can just manually type in all the measurements or request my van type, and IF it gets enough votes they will look into it´´ is misleading. As we could only recommend a template based on the limited information given, we advised that as soon as any non-available pre-made template becomes a top 10 request, we will look at getting that added.

vanspace 3D has provided van conversion software for four years and vehemently refutes your ´scam allegation´

Whilst we appreciate every review and the information they contain, we are confident that this one is false. It is also noted that a refund was provided before this review was written.

Finally, regarding your comment, ´´The quality of the 3d modelling space is not very good either! ´´´ we disagree, as do our users creating amazing layouts.

UPDATED: All information contained within this response is factual.

This user initially contacted our support team about a) a certain template being unavailable and b) that available template information is located only behind a paywall.

As shown in our original response above, both statements are incorrect.

Any refund information is recorded via the original invoice and updated live when a refund is processed by vanspace.

The time it takes to receive actual funds is down to the payment provider.

It is vanspace policy that a review does not impact the outcome of a refund request.

Customer Service ist 1st class. I had bought the app without ensuring that my laptop is suitable as it is an older one. When Vanspace realised that it is my laptop that will not be able to use the app, refund was immediately processed. Thank you for your great customer service

Slow

Slow, keeps resetting layout, crappy looking backgrounds, very poor selection of everything and it is basically a very crappy program.

Waste of time & money

Would not recommend, incredibly expensive for what it is. Saw it advertised on instagram and it was pithed as easy to use. Took me an hour to figure out how to put in a mattress and cupboard... I followed the tutorials. I did give it a chance but not for me. Was delighted to learn that there are no refunds whatsoever, despite the fact that I'd paid nearly £50 for something that I don't feel was as advertised.. Feels very scammy- sure I'll get a defensive response about the review- would love my money back instead!

Great support

There was a problem with the app which prevented it from working properly on my new computer, but Vanspace3d support was very responsive. They keep me informed as to the diagnosis of the problem as well as its resolution. I can now use the app!

Well.. Why 1Star?

Well... 1 Star for attention/advice.
This will be awkward. I RARELY write reviews at all.
Let alone for a product I haven't even tried... Why?

I Googled you based off of YouTube ads.
Found the app and then queried, "vanspace reviews"

Your customer service review reply person is passive AF for issues that i might resonate with based on the subjects that they have spoken of. Instead of being a victim mindset, take in negative reviews, and if there are enough for something customers find lacking or deeming necessary why not try to accommodate those items somehow? Don't even reply unless it is constructive to the item brought before you.

Free trial or buy-in-app items/blueprints or tiers.. why not? Use the negative to make a positive.
Someone says it is not worth it because of X,

Then why not reply
"Hey yyyyy thanks for commenting about X, we can pm you if you provide us with your username privately"
OR
"Hey, yyyy, that's a good point, we'll see what you can do and thanks for the feedback"...
More capture = more revenue. More low tier comments = research = better app and more market share..

Start cataloguing things and don't reply passive -aggressively to customer reviews, use them as benchmarks on how to improve. I'll come back when I am closer to building to see if half of these concerns are addressed because I share them, and that isn't a bad thing, that's a hey... make this 1-star into a 5-star!

This market got on fire in covid and now is building serious heat as the ways of the world change. change with it.
You could literally do commission with known builders... I am being as positive as possible for something I've never used but am interested in at the same level of a "complainer". Hope these comments are taken with a grain of salt, a sigh, a deep breath and a whiteboard.. I know it's more coding and cost to you, but it could pay off greatly if you can view the negatives of the positives instead of posting people's usernames or RL names in your replies!

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless software, not worth a tenth of its price. It's a pity I didn't search for people's feedback first, but apparently I fell in the trap of expectations - if it's paid, it should do the job. No. It won't.

Was considering, but support and business practices appear to be doubling down on their claims without offering any proof. Chose not to buy

My review has to do with my experience with vanspace, not the software itself. It's odd because I walked away from their site because I couldn't find any sort of free trial or live demo but they then reached out to me via Email (I guess I started registering but left off, and they saw it as a lead in their CRM?), to which I replied to let them know that while I liked what I saw, I saw no way to test it. Asked if there was any free trial or library I could purchase... after which I got dragged into a long and defensive email thread about not doing free demos (as if I were pushing for one, which I was not). They did say: "A layout can be completed in under an hour if needed. By the time a free trial ended, multiple designs could have been created without the need to purchase a license." which tells me they don't have the most experienced product manager or dev lead (there are so many ways to do this that don't involve granting full access as they seem to think is required... It's like they've not used software since the 90s and aren't aware of all the many business models employed and can't think outside the box). This coupled with what my friends that have used the tool have said (Van models aren't perfect, software laggy, there is no tooling for wires and pipe management, and support denying return requests because the software just sucks), just left a bad taste in my mouth. Stand by your tool.
They also noted that they have tried a free trial model with limited features, and that gave people a bad experience... in my experience, that's a great way for me to see if I want the rest of the features and if the trial is bad, it's not because of limited features..

Overall, I get the feeling this isn't the best software and that the team is more defensive than constructive. Feels like an AOL erra software company. Their replies here don't seem much better. Just thought I'd share my experience.

TL;DR, I was considering purchasing because it looked ok, but I couldn't find any way to test the software itself... I talked to folks and read reviews online and found that they imply the software isn't the best, so I was even more reluctant to purchase without some sort of live demo or trial. Instead of inquiring about the reports or looking for a solution, support emailed defensive essays and left off with a claim of growth and improvement. This claim may be true, but I can't find any evidence of such that isn't on their website or coming from their marketing.

@Vanspace3d: Heh, I'm paying some dude a 20 for his models and may pay even more.. he's not even written any software.. Just strikes me as a more mature developer, and what I saw of his work was accurate and good, so I'm happy to donate to his coffee fund..
Rather pay this guy more and get a few things I need to work harder to make use of and learn how to use a new tool like sketchup than pay a company that gives me a slimy feel and can't stand by their quality as something that will sell itself.

For the record, if you had a demo that actually allowed me to kit out a van and manipulate it with a basic version of all the features, but the van was the limiting feature, maybe even a fake one not on the market, and the software actually impressed me.. well I'd have been willing to pay much more than you currently charge to not have to play with CAD tools. I've invested in companies with good interaction that I could see were working to improve a product and had good practices. I've even helped ones that didn't so they could move to successful turnarounds. There are many ways to play this game, and your strategy doesn't inspire confidence, especially when you're starting with a bad rep. Re-invent, restrategize, and for the love of good software, if you're just using a basic third party foundation and building on that with models and getting enough flack that you feel the need to get defensive and frustrated with someone actually looking to give you money.. please hire a good Programmer and Product Manager and have the current heads step back a bit so someone with experience making a product soar can help yours shine. You had potential. Don't blaim the customers and don't play the "piratebay killed blockbuster" card because we know it's not true. People pay for things that are worth paying for, and if you're doing a 1 time use sort of tool for the 3d design inept, and you're going to be so obtuse as require an internet connection to even start up, move to a SAAS model and host the software and charge by the hourto cover hosting fees with the first 15-20 min free to get users hooked and largely invested in what they're building, then switch off their access with a paywall. If they like your tool, they'll pay. If you don't believe they will like it... well stick with what you've got.
