Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The vet we saw was brilliant. He took such excellent care of my ill rabbit and she is now making what looks to be a very good recovery. Thank you so much!

I received excellent treatment for my pet Rosie she was ill for a week and every day for a week they treated her with love unfortunately my pet didn't make it but everybody was so kind and helpful at PDSA I would like to thank everybody involved with my dogs care

You helped my dog with giving her medication and keeping a eye on her

The vet was lovely and friendly, as were the reception staff. But I removed one star for the extortionate cost and another because I think if I had been asked more questions when I rang it could have been established that my cat wasn't in imminent danger, so an expensive late night trek across town wasn't necessary.

The lady vet we saw was very calm, helped to reassure us and our dog, whilst explaining everything.

This is the second time I have used the out of hours service and like last time they give you false hope about your rabbit's leg being possible to repair only for your regular vet to put your baby down the next day. Isnt it easier just to end the animal's suffering?
They also charge a £25 admin fee to deal with your insurer which you don't have to pay but this wasn't explained, even though I asked and got a waffled reply in return. My insurer have contacted me to say they are waiting for information from them so not sure what the fee is actually for? They charged £377 just to administer pain killers and give us false hope. Just for 10 minutes? It's a scam.

They saw us very quickly and the vet was incredibly friendly and reassuring about how our cat was going to be treated. We were there far less time than expected!

In awful circumstances the staff were kind and compassionate. Everyone treated us with kindness and empathy. You made a difficult situation a bit easier and we were grateful for that help and understanding.

Not our usual vet. We used as an emergency, out of hours. Very costly. Good clinical advice but poor admin. Still waiting for details from vets now for insurers to be able to pay us.

Excellent service from your vet James, fro. Initial phone call to seeing vet 25 minutes, James explained in layman's term what he thought was causing my cats problem after a thorough investigation, administered an anti nausea injection and 24 hours later Boris the cat was back to his normal crazy self, thank you James. 👍
