Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Absolutely wonderful
Absolutely wonderful. Took my dog to see them as she was unwell. Forgot my bag as I was halfway there and had to turn around to go home and collect it. They rang me to make sure everything was okay. Explained what happened and they kindly told me not to worry and would wait until I could arrive. They dealt with my girl straight away.

Vets now was amazing and efficient
Upon arrival my pet was checked in and within 10 mins we were called. The vet was so attentive and calm when speaking. He explained everything and was very kind and caring towards my dog.

Visited with my poorly dog. The Vet was very friendly and gave my dog plenty of attention and time to determine the best treatment.

Stressed and worried
We were very worried about our beautiful dog who was visibly in pain. The whole process of booking in and being seen was so easy to do and made less stressful by the friendly and helpful vet and nurses who were on duty

The visit was excellent but the cost is high
The visit was superb. The vet and nurse were professional, friendly and very efficient. Could not have been better.
I wish I could give 5 stars but the cost was just so high. I was told the consult cost on the phone but ouch, the total bill was high.

An Amazing Team
Charlotte and the team were great when my dog was seriously unwell just after the Christmas period. Her condition was fully explained to me, along with the options for her care. The team took great care of her whilst she was an inpatient. I can’t thank them enough!

Good service & saw a vet within a reasonable time, despite the vets being very busy. The only negative I would say is the costs, emergency vets are extremely expensive. If we could have waited until the following day we would have done.

Thoughtful, kind and professional team
My dog had horrific injuries following an impalement on a tree branch. The team at Vets Now looked after my dog after his operation whilst my vet was closed. He was in a very anxious state and the team allowed me to be with him to reassure him whilst he was having treatment for the pain. They communicated well, were professional and very kind to both my dog and myself. The whole team were thoughtful and did their absolute best for us both.

We cannot fault the care of the staff & we are incredibly grateful that they had sacrificed their Christmas Day to help families like ours; our dog is doing really well & I don’t know what we would have done if there hadn’t been any vets available on Christmas Day. They were kind & understanding, & very empathetic to us & the other people we saw there that day. I don’t have the words to explain how grateful we are.
We’ve left one star off simply because of the high cost of the consultancy fee — her actual treatment was a fair price but the people in charge of the company must make a fortune on out-of-hour appointments & I doubt much of it actually goes to the staff who sacrifice their time; if all the money went to the people on the frontline we wouldn’t mind but it doesn’t & that’s not right. Give the staff a payrise.
