Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The staff were brilliant but the price I think was excessive over £500 for one injection and a couple of tablets then to top that we had to take her to our own vets on the Monday as she got worse over £1000 yes she is worth every penny but £1100 is a lot

Great service, friendly, helpful and professional from start to finish. Yes, it's expensive but I can't fault the staff or facilities. I've just got to train the dog to only be ill during 'normal' hours but as that's never going to happen I'm glad there is such an efficient vet service at Vets Now.

Seen very quickly, friendly staff. Knowledgeable vet. The only gripe I would have is the price. It was very expensive.

We needed to see out of hours emergency vet while on holiday for our cavapoo. The staff were very friendly and saw us almost immediately. They were very reassuring and gave our pup exactly what was needed and reassured us. Gave us 3 treatment options and were not pushy about any of them allowing us to make the decision ourselves on private. Very thankful to them.

Thanks to the prompt out of hours care and dedication of the Vets Now team, my Labrador was saved from a sudden onset, life threatening, illness. The whole team were amazing... from front of house, Nurses and Vets. The day our boy was admitted was clearly a challenging day for all concerned due to the number of emergency cases that had come in and there were, understandably, a number of very emotional pet owners to deal with as well as the sick animals. All were handled with care and dignity. I especially want to thank Christian, the vet that assessed our Labrador, as his quick reactions and dedication I'm quite sure were life saving. He even called after the end of his shift to update us before he handed over to the nighttime team. I was left with absolutely no doubt that our boy was in safe and caring hands.

This isn't a service that you want to use, but the fact that the team were so welcoming and professional certainly helps in what can be a very stressful time.
Thank you to the team @ Hykeham for looking after Poppy
