Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A genuine feeling based on the behaviours displayed by the vet, that there was zero concern for the welfare of my animal. I honestly felt like my presence had inconvenienced her. Had to repeat myself several times, felt like I was not even being listened to. Will never return here again.

Seen really fast and mind put at ease. Obviously the cost of an emergency consult is high BUT for fast treatment and good care I am happy to recommend. Would use again.

Thank you so much for seeing our dog on Friday evening. Our experience has been very positive with Vets Now and the team at Lincoln were professional and supportive throughout. However we were disappointed that when we visited our own vet the next day no report of our visit had been forwarded to them. This had been promised by the team. Other than that we're very satisfied.

I arrived at the vets with my really poorly puppy. She was kept in over night and I was told I could ring any time to see how she was doing. Fortunately by the morning she was recovered. The staff were all very kind and kept me informed.

The Vet who saw to my cat after he suddenly and mysteriously went lame was very kind and caring towards both myself and Robin. He was taken care of very well and managed his pain so we could get him to our usual vets in the morning.
The only reason I put 4 stars and not 5 was due to the eye watering fees but worth paying to see him out of pain and the assurance he could wait until the morning to see his usual vet. The vet was very open and upfront with pricing and the options available to me which was very helpful and considerate in the current times. All in all very good service.

Although very caring and helpful, unfortunately we’re unable to diagnose the problem. Our dog seem to perk up but I think he got a bit stressed being there. A visit to our own vet next day showed he had an infection in his anal gland. Still on antibiotics.
