Good budget paint

Have used several tins of gloss and satin for a few years now. Have had no problems with it,good for the price, used it on doors, handrails. skirting etc. Like all water based paint if using over oil based paint best to sand and use a primer. At least it is British, think Berger is Indian , even Dulux is Dutch.

My Home Magnolia Matt paint

Purchased a 2.5lr tub of My Home Magnolia Matt (Supplied By VFM Coatings to The Range outlets) for a daughters utility room walls.
There were a few darker marks on the original white wall, so these were cleaned first with a very week solution of sugar soap and rinsed then given a pre coat with the “My Home” magnolia
On returning a few weeks later to finish the job, I decided to give the rest of the walls a clean with a very mild solution of soapy water (washing up liquid). To my surprise the paint covering the previously pre-coated marks just disappeared.
On the Range website it declares that this paint is.
“My Home Matt Emulsion Paint 2.5L is the perfect finish to give your home a contemporary look it dries in 2 to 4 hours giving a hard-wearing finish. Two coats will help disguise surface imperfections”.
As an ex professional painter, I don’t think so.
OK, I know it was cheap (especially sold by the Range) but didn’t know it was cheap and totally useless. And what’s worse, it’s too late for her to return it for a refund on the Range’s refund policy
