My experience with VodafAvoid Vodafone – Serious Issues with Cancellation and Billingone customer…
My experience with Vodafone customer service has been extremely disappointing.
On 17 April 2026, I contacted Vodafone via chat to reconfirm my outstanding balance, which I paid in full via BPAY on the same day. During that interaction, I clearly requested for my account to be cancelled and my number to be ported to another service provider.
When the number transfer did not proceed, I contacted Vodafone again and was informed that the account had not been cancelled. I was then required to repeat the entire process and once again requested cancellation and porting.
Now, over a month later, I have received an additional invoice for approximately $300 and have again been advised that the service was never cancelled.
This level of mismanagement and lack of accountability is unacceptable. The repeated failures in processing a simple cancellation request, combined with poor customer support and an unreliable network experience, have made this one of the worst telecommunications experiences I have encountered.
I would strongly caution others before choosing Vodafone, regardless of how attractive their offers may appear.

Absolute TRASH
Absolute TRASH ! App new login setup doesn't work, codes are invalid, it harvests data, forces ID registration, create password form glitches, can't log in on app, cant check balance, cant change billing. Tried to register on website instead, website doesn't work. So now I'm locked out of account, still paying but cant adjust billing. For an international brand with decades of expertise this is an utter disgrace!

I scored Vodafone one star because zero…
I scored Vodafone one star because zero wasn't an option.
I bought a Samsung phone from Vodafone which was still under warranty when the battery expanded causing the case to split. I was told this is a common fault and the CPU is usually damaged.
I took the phone to Vodafone who sent it for repairs and I was given a loan phone on the condition if it has any damages I would have to pay the full amount...very stressful but I had no choice because we all need a phone.
The phone came back after 2 weeks without being fixed. I was told my warranty was void because the phone had been tampered with. This was not true stated to me so my warranty didn't count. They said it would cost $440 for a new battery. I told them a new phone can be less and did that include a new case which was split and would they guarantee the CPU wasn't damaged. They ignored me but reduced the battery to $220. I was stuck so agreed.
When I got home I got a text from Vidafone that couldn't be answered stating they were changing my plan to a small plan. I googled it and it was going to cost me more for no change to my data etc.
I then thought I should upgrade to a Samsung A57 that was advertised in store for $200 off. It has everything new plus a better battery. They told me I would have to pay out my existing phone for $215.80 and since I bought that phone on discount, I couldn't get the A57 on discount and would have to pay full price.
I realised that Vodafone are not interested in customer care or retention. They wouldn't even say they would transfer my data if I got the A57. I went to a retail store but not a Telco and saved $287 on the A57 and all my data was transferred for free. I have now contacted a rival company and instead of paying the Vodafone who changed my plan to $53 per month I only have to pay $17.50 per month for 6 months and then $35. In one year this saves me $560 and then a further $216 every year.
In summary, my warranty was not worth the paper it was printed on, my plan was increased without even allowing me to talk to them and having to pay full price for a new phone that was advertised as $200 off was just profiteering. I feel so much better I am now free of this company who clearly didn't value my years of loyal service one bit.
You too can get the phone of your choice and save heaps on your monthly plan if you shop around.
A total disaster
Tried logging in myVodafone on iPhone, Android and 3 PC Windows browsers and “Something didn’t go as planned”. Called support 10+ times during the last 1-2 months and got promises of investigation and fixing as a matter of priority without any result. Shame on Vodafone for customer service and this piece of garbage software. Worth at least minus 10 stars.

Up selling phones that are not compatible
Review to warn others about the massive gap between what Vodafone promises and what they actually deliver.
Initially, I chose Vodafone because they offered competitive pricing, and for a short time, the onboarding seemed straightforward. However, any "good" experience completely evaporated the moment something went wrong and I actually needed customer service.
For the past year, I have been dealing with an absolute nightmare regarding a faulty handset and persistent network connectivity issues. Despite paying for a reliable service, my connection constantly drops out, making the service virtually unusable. When you try to get help, you are met with a brick wall of repetitive troubleshooting steps, broken promises, and zero actual accountability.
After months of exhausting every possible avenue with their support teams and getting nowhere, I finally refused to accept their subpar settlement offers. Because Vodafone refused to take responsibility for their faulty hardware and ongoing service failures, I have officially escalated my entire case and submitted all evidence to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO).
It is incredibly disappointing that a major telco has to be dragged before the Ombudsman just to get a fair resolution. Save yourself the 12-month headache and stay away.

Stolen phone
I attended Kawana Shopping Town Vodafone store with a complex issue after having my phone stolen. Even though they couldn't do the paperwork I needed for an insurance claim, Shikha was most helpful, printed out my proof of purchase & put me onto the help line, so they could issue me the form I needed to show that the phone was blocked. They emailed me the paperwork I needed the next day.
Shikha is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Poor coverage and unfair billing
I'm writing to express my disappointment with Vodafone's recent sale plan,AUD30/200GB first six months. I signed up in mid-April, hoping to take advantage of the deal, but my experience was frustrating. Within the first two days when I started the plan and noticed frequentsignal drops, especially during critical stock market hours. This has significantly impacted my work.
What's worse, Vodafone continued to charge me $31 via direct debit after I was told I had left their coverage area on the fifth day of my plan. The amount may be small, but it's the principle counts. I visited a Vodafone store today to request a refund and was met with unhelpful staffs. The lack of customers in the store was striking, raising questions about their service quality. Vodafone's poor coverage and unfair billing practices are concerned. I urge potential customers to think twice before signing up.
I hope Vodafone will address these issues and improve their services.
Sincerely,
Teresa

To be honest not even 1 star is deserved. I no longer have any reception at home and calls go straight to voicemail. Only have 1 bar or sos. Their website is not even up and running and as for 24/7 support as depicted on their maintenance msg that is not the case at all! I am switching to Telstra.

Never receive trade in credit
lier, terrible company. Had recently upgrade and trade in my old samsung for new S26 ultra as they offer the $300 bonus trade in. I trade in my old phone in local store and been checked. However, I have to contacted them 4 times in a month but still no trade in credits. Called them, went to a local store in Burleigh, live chat 2 times but last live chat they even said they do not have a record! I have provide all reference numbers, trade ID and account numbers etc. But they cannot find it and won't give me trade in credit. It is a joke!

I spent 4 hours with this terrible company on the phone getting a custom premium number only to find out it 2 days later the number is not available. I joined Vodafone just for the number. Have been transferred 5 times, 2 hours and still no fix. Waste of time and I hope this company goes bankrupt.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service and experience.
Ported out of Vodafone. They sold my account information to a third-party company for ported out fees not paid. Sad part is that when I contacted them since Oct 2025 for this very reason and tried to dispute the fees with them, they were insistent for me to pay with no empathy or acceptance that I was right about no service according to their contract provided to me. Due to the bad network on incoming or outgoing calls which would drop out every 10 mins and with less mobile data even though regular payments made, I needed to make a drastic choice to move. As a result, they would not even talk to me about the dispute over the phone. Just kept asking me to make complaints and no resolutions. Horrible experience. For a $10B company, they cannot even properly dispute $312 and they are now asking me to contact only the third party company, even though third party have given me the option to continue disputing with Vodafone. When contacted Vodafone line now, they kept reminding me of the time I was on the phone and implying that I am wasting their time while I have a valid reason to call them. No acceptance of their faults, ill treatment, harassments and incorrect/incomplete facts on their case. I bought the connection and phone in April 2024 and the very next week, had issues. Oct 2025 I decided to move out. They cannot even acknowledge or make record of the amount of time that I contacted Vodafone for bad service.

I wouldn’t even give this one star
I wouldn’t even give this one star. We’re paying $100 for a home internet plan, and every time I try to play a game or do anything, it’s unstable as hell. Absolutely terrible.
