You have to buy a premium membership…

You have to buy a premium membership just to apply for hires. I got one response from customer service initially. After I completed my profile, the promise was, that the profile would be reviewed. I contacted customer service, twice. No response. Don't waste your 100 bucks on it unless you're ready to waste 600 more on the off chance you may get a job.

Unresponsive Customer Service…

I requested an edit on my first job agreement about two weeks ago from when the due date for the job was, and Customer Service has not responded. Why is it even necessary to have them confirm it, unless both parties disagree with the changes? Me and the client are stuck because of this. Will keep reviewing to update on the fact.

Update: After my original review it took them about a day or two to respond. It seems like a good platform, but don't request to edit the job agreement if you are going to request additional funds. If they could fix this issue with the amount of time it takes them to edit agreements, and lower premium membership costs, I could give them a higher rating.

An excellent platform for voice actors finding work. As long as you are willing to put the time in, you will get good jobs with a wide variety. Easy to follow instructions and does a great job at being the middle man between yourself and the companies looking for voice actors.

I am looking into a fraud complaint…

I am looking into how to file a fraud complaint. I canceled by Premium account in April after retiring and I was charged US $499 for another year 10 days later. I noticed this only about 5 weeks later, and all attempts to get the money refunded have been unsuccessful so far (services ceased, and my cancellation was acknowledged on April 30th). This nonsense about service tickets being responded to within two days is simply not true.

I have never been paid for the work I delivered

I received a private invite from a certain Dylan Brown to submit 10 videos in Italian, and I have never been paid after submitting them. I have been writing multiple emails, I opened several tickets on their platform and I've never received an answer. I submitted the videos nearly 2 months ago and I followed all the requirements for each video to be accepted but they completely disappeared. It is the first time that I have worked for this company, if I were in England I would report them to the Police Straight AWAY. Also, I've never received a contract for the job submitted, and this has been my fault never have asked for that... Open your eyes before working with this company... I pretend an answer and some sort of communication here, at this point!

While our team wants to approve as many files as possible, the requirements of 4K, 60FPS video, low background noise, and good lighting indoors and outdoors were not negotiable. We’re only able to approve and pay for files that meet the requirements.

We do have an audiobooks category as well as an online ad category, in addition to a variety of other types of jobs. When someone signs up as a talent, we ask them as part of the onboarding process to check off the types of voice over skills they have so we can match them to the right jobs.

We also have a help center at www.voices.com/help, which provides articles on how to set up your profile and upload demos so that you're matched to the jobs you're more interested in. Any strange jobs on the site or things that don't look right can be reported and our team will look into them and remove anything that shouldn't be there. Our support team can also be reached at support@voices.com.

On its way to become The Place for VO work.

Great platform for global exposure of voice actors if you are willing to put in the time and effort needed. Voices.com has improved a lot since I tried the first time. I would suggest asking the producers for more specific and detailed instructions in a standard format. A simple template requesting personality of the brand, tonality, pace and audio or video samples will make the process more efficient. Some jobs include this, some don't. It needs more consistency. I trust the Voices.com team will read this comment and implement it somehow. Other than that, I'm happy with the service.

Payment is late and not paid in full

I just finished doing my very first job with voices. This was a video job where you submit ten different 40 second videos, and you will be paid $10USD for every approved video. I was only paid $20 USD on the 7th of June for the 5 videos that I submitted. Even after they requested that I redo at least two videos, I was still only paid $20 USD via PayPal. I was told over the message with PayPal that further payment will be paid at a later date. I then emailed support and still haven’t received a response. This is very disappointing since this was the first job that I have done through voices.

I don’t feel comfortable doing any more jobs until I am paid the remaining $30 USD that is owed to me for the five videos that I did.

Payment

The payment with Dylan Brown was supposed to be on 15 june and it's 20 and I still don't have news from them. I also tried to contact the support on 17 june and still don't have a response. Still waiting to be paid for the videos and want to know when.

Update : Voices has send email to confirm the payment issue

Update :
Adam from Voices has contacted me regarding the payment issue, from what informed the payment has been made to the Agent (but not yet to workers). Unfortunately Agent (which I just know the name of) is not confirming anything yet and with the previous confirmed email that my submission is rejected eventho it following the criteria, i think they think they can hold the payment.

Hopefully with the email confirming that my work has been paid, I can get a hold to this agent so we workers can get our payment finally.

I think lot people fall to the same problem but I still want to escalate the issue because I didn't get any reply through CS or rep AT ALL.

I do the video recording project for them and despite following ALL the requirements they send me an email that the file I submit wasn't match the requirements which is the video must be 4K60FPS video. I check my submission and even re download the file as they require to upload it to GDrive, and it still show that the file is 4K60FPS even after redownload it from GDrive.

Not only me, lot of people in this project get the same treatment therefore non of us getting paid despite submitting correct file as per their requirements.

They ask us to sign a nondisclosure agreement, so it sounds legit and there is no detail of this project is somewhat "submit and we will see if you accepted" sort of things, it just looks like typical task that you will get paid as long as you submit the required job.

Hopefully I will get proper respond and payment this time because this is frustrating on how they have Collected A LOT of video and Data from freelancer, be able to use those files but no pay the freelancer who do the job for them.

I was conned by a guy called Dylan from Voices

I was given a task by a guy called Dylan with instructions for a video project which I did and submitted the videos. Since the Dylan has cut off communication and even your support email does not communicate on the next step. It just left me feeling like I was scammed by voices and now I’m afraid what you’ll do to my videos. If you can’t pay then you probably shouldn’t use my videos and if there is anything going on communicate! To make things worse you sent me three congratulatory messages for a job well done but no one is telling me how and when I will be paid 🤔

They don't pay, they never respond

I worked on a video project for this company. I sent my part on time. They said in their email that my videos are approved and I will receive communication about payments in 10 days. Well... 10 days passed... and even longer time has passed... there was NO communication. I emailed the person who sent me that email THREE TIMES. No response! Absolutely none! I added another contact to the email thread from the past emails I've seen. NO RESPONSE! I added support team to the email thread and a ticket got created automatically. One week passed, still NO RESPONSE! I added the person from voices.com who recruited me. STILL NO RESPONSE! I am simply tired of waiting. This company is great at getting what they want from you but once the delivery is done, they go silent. They must be looking for free data. This has been one huge disappointing experience.
