Lack of plant care.

Received my persicaria red dragon and found a plant so dry it was almost dead. Contacted supplier and sent photo. Was contacted next day and asked for further photos .
The good news is we managed to revive the plant by soaking in a bucket of water. However it was quite obvious that the plant had received no water for some considerable time. We will not use Waitrose garden again. They hardly rate a one star regarding plant care.

Waitrose

My plant arrived in a broken box. It had obviously fallen out and was extremely dry with yellow leaves. I sent photos and was told to send further photos and then NOTHING. Appalling customer service. They couldn't care less.
It's pot luck whether a plant arrives in good condition.
That's another customer they've lost.

I spent £199 on bird feeders which looked great in the photos on their website but I just can’t believe how SHORT they are ?? I am going to have to get a metal worker to make new poles to make them taller.
Cats and squirrels will have absolutely no problem jumping on to them from the ground. These are a danger to birds! 😳
I feel hugely disappointed.

Poor quality plants

Poor quality plants. Customer service wanted plants back but didn't appreciate the recipient was 89 and would have trouble returning them. Eventually refunded after 4 or 5 emails/ phone calls. Not worth the stress

Oh if only you could leave a 1 star review.
I spent around £40 on plants - they were absolutely shocking. There's absolutely no chance that you would pay for these if you saw them in the garden centre.
After contacting Waitrose I was offered a partial refund for one of the plants but they told me the rest were within expectations of this time of the year. Not true. Those plants should be flowering right now. I'm pushing for further refunds. For the love of god take your money elsewhere.

Update on previous review Waitrose Garden

Having complained about undersized plants and brown spots on a previous plant that was ordered, I should report that Waitrose Garden contacted me within two days and sent me a replacement plant in good condition within 4 days. So they have exonerated themselves. It’s a pity I had to go through the palaver, but it has been put right so I withdraw my previous complaint.

Very disappointing

I ordered a plant as a new home gift . I was given 5 to 7 days delivery time . It took 15. I ordered a gift card . When I checked my account it wasn’t included so I emailed the customer services who took 10 days to respond to say it wasn’t included . By then I had to apologise to my friends for late delivery and tell them what it was !!!

Avoid

I ordered an outdoor plant purely on the basis of the advertised size i.e an already established 1.5 metres tall by 1.2 wide at an inflated price point and a 3 to 5 day delivery window.
Only to receive one of 30x20cm, two weeks later, which was rather worse for wear.
Needless to say i wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone

Bad!

Assumed waitrose garden would be a reputable company and didn't check reviews beforehand. I ordered 18 plants which arrived in 2 separate packages 3 days apart, only 6 of the plants are correct, the other 12 are grasses. I have emailed them twice with no response.

I ordered moss poles and clips with a Brussels pot on wheels along with a couple of metal obelisks . The later arrived in out of the blue with no notification. But the other items did not . Nothing showed up up on my account to either that anything had been delivered or not . When I phoned customer services he was unable to take the missing items .He said that this would be looked into and if there was a problem I’d hear from them . Nothing happened so I again phoned customer services to be be told that the order had been lost and sadly half the items aren’t in stock anymore. I will get a refund but it’s the total lack of communication and disregard for the customer that really annoys me . Won’t ever use them again .

Dreadful

Dreadful, I ordered three aralia cordata sunkings and an oregano kent circa £40 with a £6 delivery charge. They took nearly two weeks to come and the leaves on the aralias are shrivelled and brown. Tiny little pots that would cost a few pounds in a garden centre. Never, ever again. I bought them because I thought they were from Waitrose which has lovely plants in store. These tiny, tatty things came from crocus online. I feel totally conned.

Very poor service

Very poor service. I called to enquire about an order from a month ago and had a sulky and completely disinterested response, I have yet to receive any response to my email enquiry of 4 May. I will NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WILL BE LODGING A FORMAL COMPLAINT

Customer service……..really?

Sent two separately related emails to customer service. One asking for an ETA on purchased goods and the other enquiring as to why it would take them TWO WEEKS to respond to the first email.

Customer services got back immediately to EACH email with the same bland, non informative blah that failed to address either issue.

Why do we customers put up with this exceptionally low level of performance?????

Veg Cage - not fit for purpose

I bought a vegetable cage on 16th April, it finally arrived on 9th May. The quality is woeful and not fit for purpose as is the non existant customer service from waitrose. I have emailed twice with photos and had no reply except we'll get back to you within 72 hours, well its been two weeks and I'm still waiting. I have previously bought my veg garden products from Harrod Horticultural and been very pleased with the service but decided to give waitrose a try, what a mistake.
Come on waitrose this is now your chance to put things right. My advice don't by from waitrose garden.

Poor quality plant

I bought a hydrangea and two geraniums from Waitrose Garden. The hydrangea and one geranium were OK, but not as large as I had expected. the other geranium was tiny and certainly not worth the £8.99 charged. I have received better plants and value for money from other online garden centres.

Ordered two astrantia Ruby wedding and major large white. Arrived today, packed well, but initially thought I must have the wrong order. Couldn’t quite believe how small they are for the money. I took photos but unable to copy and paste to this site. I’ve bought plants previously from Waitrose garden and always been a satisfied customer, but based on this order I would never order anything again. Super disappointed!

I have to admit to having been concerned but…

I have to admit, I assumed having the Waitrose name I could be confident in my purchase, so didn’t check TP until after I’d ordered. I was dismayed to read the reviews and wondered if I’d made a great mistake.

However, the Yucca Filamentosa Bright Edge that I ordered 4 days ago turned up today and it’s beautiful. A very healthy plant, extremely well packaged that arrived in one piece and not a crumb of compost spilt. The pot was well wrapped and securely packaged with the leaves carefully tied together to minimise any damage in transit. An expensive purchase as I wanted this particular specimen and hadn’t been able to locate it in local garden centres but I’m over all very satisfied with the item, the service and my specific experience with Waitrose Garden.
