If I could give a zero rating I would do. My order arrived damaged with plants and compost all over the place this was a month ago. My husband put the plants back together but they have all suffered b... See more

Ordered 3 Italian cypress trees…
Ordered 3 Italian cypress trees (Cupressus sempervirens), stated to be between 1m - 1.20m, but in fact only 90cm tall, spindly little things. Was told by customer services that the height includes the pot - utterly ridiculous. Over £100 paid. Never again, don’t waste your money.
I've ordered 2 lots of plants from…
I've ordered 2 lots of plants from Waitrosegarden so far, the first time I had 3 plants, one had issues and could have had bug previously or while they sent it to me, was advised to bin it.
Newest order, Snake plant and Prince of Orange, the snake plant should never have been sent and the prince looks like it's either got bugs or had bugs as there is webbing and a couple of mottled leaves, it's also got a lot of damaged leaves, one even looks like's been bent over which has obviously damaged it, they also have weird marks on them which isn't dirt because I cleaned the top of the leaves to check
I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time but I won't again. I have contacted them about it, you can't send many pictures because your email gets returned to you, currently waiting for a response, I think I'll just ask for a refund and purchase the plants from somewhere else.
Last order from Waitrose Garden
I ordered a large Opuntia, the Rhipsalis paradoxa, some (hopefully) suitable pot covers and a couple of sets of metal flower pots and matching saucers. Neither of the cacti was in great condition, the recommended pot cover size was too large and one of the saucers was missing from one of the pot and saucer sets. Delivery was at least on time, but returns are too difficult. I won’t be ordering again.
Outstanding Product and Service
I have to say that my experience with Waitrose Garden was excellent. When I contacted customer services to check whether I'd receive a tracking number from Yodel, they responded immediately. The tracking worked perfectly and the plant is exactly as pictured. When I read all the negative reviews (after I'd ordered), I was really anxious but the entire process was seamless from beginning to end.
Poor - what more can I say?
I can't work the offers out, buy 2 get 1 free on herbs, still charging full amount at checkout
Try to get through to customer services and it's a company called Crocus who aren't answering phone as they are all in a meeting.
Can't be bothered I will buy elsewhere.
So disappointing
Bought 2 gazebos for £900. When opened there was damage to the uprights which must have been caused before packing as no outer damage to boxes. Also items missing and holes not drilled. Couldn’t even manage to build one undamaged gazebo from the contents of 2 boxes. Told Waitrose immediately and they said they would arrange collection. Failed to show on 3 occasions. On 4th attempt (after 1 week) a courier turned up on his own needing me to help him lift heavy items and load onto the van. Waitrose said they couldn’t give a refund until items collected but after 3 failures to collect, agreed to process refund.
Purchased orchid dead roots like grass
Purchased orchid dead roots like grass, plant wasn't cheap. Waitrose customer services stated its aerial roots full of moisture, dead roots no moisture whatsoever. Definitely wouldn't recommend Waitrose Garden
Water feature Waitrose Garden
Water feature Waitrose Garden - very disappointed I paid £190 for water feature from Waitrose Garden and I received some plastic miniature that neither worked or even looked good. I asked to return it and was further shocked to learn the cost was £25 but I am so angry at this shoddy poorly constructed dreadful looking garbage I am going to pay it. Waitrose Garden incidentally is a wholly different enterprise and operates independently of the main company. Frankly never again and their products are extremely overpriced.
The plants that I ordered online was…nothing compared to the website
The plants that I ordered online was nothing was nothing to the pictures displayed on the Waitrosegardens site. Out of the 4 plant, one had all the flowers de-headed, and the other 2 plants were 7cm tall and looked like it would not grow for another 3 or 4 maths. I wish I had read the reviews and would not have bothered. I never expected Waitrose would allow such flowers to pass the quality controls. The plants were £17-20 and reduced by 50%. I thought I was getting a bargain and beautiful flowers but all I got was rubbish, not worth £2 for each plant. I will fight to get a refund.
It’s a total ripoff
It’s a total ripoff. If you go to a garden centre you get better plant for the same price or even less. It’s a specimen for horticultural society not for the garden. Don’t even think of buying.
Don't bother.
As someone has said below... I wish I had read reviews before using.
Disappointingly small specimens of Salvia eventually received (despite being in 2L pots). Looks like I'll have to wait until next years growth to enjoy them. The customer care team said that this was what was to be expected for £16-£20! Go to a garden centre. I will also not be buying from Waitrose Garden again.
ordered two hanging baskets at £55…
ordered two hanging baskets at £55 each. received them almost all plants out of the basket. very poor service. they do not pack plants correctly and the excuse they gave was they use a 2ndry company?
Very poor for £55 hanging basket
Asparagus crowns
I have tried to grow asparagus for three years. Bought crowns on line first year with no success. Second year bought crowns from local garden centre. This year ordered 12 crowns from Waitrose. Result 100% success rate. Will order more in the autumn. Thanks Waitrose all to your normal excellent service.
Plant of poor quality and damaged
Ordering process was fine and plant was delivered on time with good tracking information. When delivered the outer packaging was in good condition. So far, so good.
However, on opening the box a very poor specimen of a plant emerged. The plant was obviously very spindly to begin with but the pot had just been packed with some brown paper around it and plonked in the box. Usually plants sent by courier have the pot secured to the bottom of the box to prevent movement in transit. This one was not attached in any way so most of the branches were broken and was was already a poor specimen became a complete wreck.
Have emailed Waitrose Garden but no response as yet. I understand it is a partnership between Waitrose and Crocus. I think that Waitrose should review the relationship as it is not helping their reputation.
Wish I had read reviews before ordering
Disappointing spindly hydrangea. It's going to take a few years to grow to a decent size. I wish I'd purchased from a garden centre- at least you can see what you're getting. I'm not returning as I don't want to pay for the return. I will not be buying from Waitrose Garden again.
Terrible experience
Paid for name day delivery and still waiting for delivery.. every day they say it will be today and still waiting. Called and received no explanation. Terrible service.
Payed for named day delivery and waited…
Payed for named day delivery and waited in all day as I had took time off work for planting ,contacted company and blamed it on the delivery company then without warning plants were delivered and left on front doorstep nearly £700 worth never again would I use this company
Paid for named day delivery
Paid for named day delivery - was a day late with no pre-warning and when I called customer services there was no explanation and an offer to refund the difference between standard and named day delivery - urgh…not good enough! More worryingly my order came from 3 different sources (seeds, plants and compost). That’s three different deliveries for a company that claims it’s sustainable??????
I was super excited to order from here…
I was super excited to order from here but when the order came I was disappointed. I paid 5.99 each for herb plants and they turned out to be plug plants re potted into 9cm pots. I am letting Waitrosegarden & partners know that I am posting this review because I also emailed them about my dissatisfaction via email. Will stick to B&Q or a local nursery the next time.
I ordered 3 plants for my son's birthday
I ordered 3 plants for my son's birthday. I was told that they were delivered to my neighbour, I went to pick them up only to be told that no delivery had taken place.
