Afternoon disappointment

Recently went here for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and was bitterly disappointed, the staff didn’t seem to know what was going on and were slow and very unorganised. I spoke to the team the day before to alert them to my dietary requirements and allergies and all was ignored and forgotten and the team got huffy with me when I chased - I eventually got a salad once my brother and mum had finished the sandwiches and cakes which was coated in a dressing that I was allergic too so had to go back. I paid for my mum to have champagne and had to chase the staff several times plus show my emails and credit card statement to prove I had paid for it. They served tea with wooden sticks for stirring (the same as the ones you get in service stations!) with chipped cups and those metal cheap tea pots- not what you would expect after spending £145 on afternoon tea!! Took absolutely ages to get a cup of tea and had to ask several times for a tea menu, the waiter eventually produced a food stained hand written bit of paper and The tea ‘selection’ is just your average twinnings tea bags which they ran out of most choices by the time we had got there! The actual afternoon tea selection was also minimal, usually you will have 1 cake for each person and they were not fresh and had clearly been out for awhile! The only thing that was ok were the scones. The room we were in was very dated with fraying old carpet, stained table cloths and just very basic not a representation of the beautiful building. Absolutely gutted!! What was meant to be a lovely day with my mum after having a horrific time with her health and on chemo, but ended up being a complete embarrassment and ruined Mother’s Day. I would not recommend this place at all especially for an special occasions!

Warren House Hotel SCRUMMY BREAKFAST

BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE. I drove a friend to a Speed Awareness Course held there and my reward was 'breakfast'. It cost £21 but what you got was a fantastic meal. A lovely tasty buffet inc. toast, smoked salmon and cream cheese, cereals, yogurt, juice etc. As much coffee as I wanted - and it was good. Then, any choice from the extensive menu. I chose a Full English which was possibly the best I ever had ... all fresh and piping hot with tasty small tomatoes of various kinds. The staff were lovely and the breakfast room had a good atmosphere. I will be returning. If not a guest, best to phone and reserve so they have enough food. The croissants were gone before I even got there ... which is my only gripe.

As a wedding photographer

As a wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful wedding at Warren House Hotel and I have to say, it was truly a magnificent experience. The hotel's breathtaking Victorian Grade II listed building and stunning landscaped gardens provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding day. The peace and tranquility of the hotel's location in the exclusive Coombe Estate only added to the charm and elegance of the day.
The hotel boasts 50 bedrooms, 2 Two-bedroom apartments, 11 conference & event rooms, two bars, and a restaurant with terrace dining. It's no surprise that many historic figures such as King Edward VII and Winston Churchill have visited this property as it has a rich history and an aura of grandeur.
The views from the rooms were stunning and offered a glimpse of central London which lies only 8 miles away. It was amazing to see the breathtaking view of the city from the hotel and know that we were surrounded by history and exclusivity.
In conclusion, Warren House Hotel is a one-of-a-kind historic venue suitable for every kind of event. Whether it's accommodation, weddings, events, conferences, dining or anything else, they have everything covered. The dedicated team of staff made sure that the wedding was seamless from beginning to end, and the couple and their guests had the time of their lives. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience.
Kindest regards
The Kensington Photographer
