AVOID< AVOID< AVOID!
This used to be a reputable company with an ethos for sustainability and great customer service.
No longer so.
I paid for next day delivery. The items did not arrive. They have still not arrived. I am told they will send them via EVRI. Oh dear.

Terrible quality products

I can only comment on their men's socks and boxers. Nice feel to wear (but then most bamboo cotton + elastane materials are) but the quality of manufacture is terrible.

Develop holes very quickly. Material falls apart at the seams. You'll be throwing Thought clothing away soon after receiving it. I could go on.

They went into administration and it's easy to understand why. I think they've been bought since.

Customer service is somewhere between dreadful and non-existent. Want to contact them? Don't even give it a second thought. They won't respond - particularly if it's about product defects.

Save your money. Plenty of better bamboo clothing brands out there.

Very Poor Customer Service

Ordered a number of items as gifts in the Black Friday Sale. Parcel arrived minus one item but the contents were wet due to poor packaging and some of the labels were damaged. Contacted Thought who requested photos which were duly sent, also raised a query regarding the amount I was charged as the purported discount did not appear to have been applied. Was advised I could return the items for a refund if I applied for a returns label, provided packaging, listed full details of the items to be returned and then waited up to 30 days for the refund. Emailed them on 11th December to explain again this was not really a viable option and again requested a response to my original question about whether I had been charged the right amount but at the time of writing still no response.

Do not use, awful service

Do not use. Awful. Ordered 9 items, 7 arrived. Emailed customer service who never acknowledged my email or responded, then refunded the two items later on. I've sent back the other 7 items as well, got a nonsensical 'refund notification' (apparently I was refunded 5 times in a row?) which never showed up on my credit card, so I sent an email to customer service again. They said that was 'the original refund email' and that 'my return wasn't in their system yet', which made no sense, as they received it days before. I was told to wait 14 business days, which i did, and they've been ignoring me since. Attempting to do a charge back via PayPal now.

In no hurry to dispatch

In no hurry to dispatch. Waited 7 days for item to be sent. Still waiting on delivery.

Edit: order arrived 8 days after ordering. Wrong size items. No phone number so now engaging in slow email discussion to attempt to get this sorted.

Bought trousers in my usual size

Bought trousers in my usual size. Too big and had to return as the sizing is off and pay to return the items. Placed an order for a smaller size and it’s faulty and it seems they are expecting me to pay to return a faulty item which is unacceptable. Have emailed and no response to my emails yet.

Awful service

Awful service. Clothing ok but no free returns - wouldn't buy from them again. John Lewis has same product that can be returned.

Fantastic quality product and amazing…

Fantastic quality product and amazing customer service. When Thought couldn’t fulfil my order because of stock error, they gave me a full refund but still sent me one of the items from the order which they did have in stock, free of charge! Their products are excellent quality: soft, well-designed and well-made.

I have recently purchased and returned…

I have recently purchased and returned items to Thought and have had no issues receiving a full refund. Customer service was very communicative and the refund was issued to my card within just a few days. Did not offer a gift card or alternative payment, and apparently they were bought out of administration in November 2023, hence why they are trading normally.

Clothes are lovely

Clothes are lovely, I have purchased several items from Next and Tu. However, I made the mistake of ordering direct from Thought. Initially my order was cancelled as all three items out of stock. Assuming this to be a glitch (all items still on website) I ordered again. I then got an email to say the items were out of stock (first order), I emailed Thought and asked for the duplicate order to also be cancelled. The items arrived a few days later. I had already purchased alternative dresses from elsewhere so I emailed Thought and asked for a free return label since I had asked to cancel the order within 12 hours - no response.
Truly awful customer service.

I ordered a suit in November but felt…

I ordered a suit in November but felt it didn't hang properly and returned it within 30 days as per their T&Cs. The suit was returned to me yesterday with 'Old Order' scribbled on my original return form with the return window highlighted in yellow. No explanation as to why it had been returned. I can see now the company went in administration last year but continued to accept orders I doubt I'll get my £110 back. I've sent them and email but don't hold out much hope ........

Avoid!

Absolutely appalling customer service. I have had an outstanding complaint for over a month now, concerning cancellation of part of an order on three seperate occasions. I have followed up multiple times and the responses have been unhelpful and there has been no apology at any time for the error on their side. I have bought from Thought with no issues in the past before the change of ownership, but will certainly never be shopping here again and encourage others not to if you don't want to risk losing money!

Recent Good experience

I have used thought for years, rarely returned anything but did recently and got a full refund for those items. I did see that you now have to pay for returns and sent fully tracked RM 48 small parcel for £3ish collected. I am really sorry to see this happen to Thought, I appreciated the use of sustainable fabrics and love their bamboo Dashka yoga trousers, (though not keen on the newer concept recycled nylon being mixed with other materials). I understand people annoyed at being caught up in the issues when a company goes into administration, I too placed my order without realising this had happened.

I too have been having issues with…

I too have been having issues with Thought Clothing since they went into administration and is getting completely ridiculous now!

I made a purchase and the items I kept were good quality and a good cut. However I returned some items that didn't fit - totalling £71.90.
The parcel was 'missing' for a long time - they said it hadn't arrived, Royal Mail tracking said it was still being delivered (after about a month).

Eventually they agreed a refund but refused to send a monetary refund due to being in administration (not sure how legal that is if they're still trading?!!) and instead gave me an e-gift card. There wasn't anything I really wanted but did manage to spend it, however the clothes NEVER ARRIVED.
I complained, and they emailed saying I would now receive a money refund?!!! Not sure why their stance on this changed. Anyway, surprise surprise I haven't received the money refund, and they've now sent yet another gift card. They are refusing to give me a phone number to speak to someone. They still have my £71.90. Robbery!!

affordable, ethical and comfortable

I just bought the bralettes 2 weeks ago so we'll see if they last but the quality seems great. They are all a really comfortable fabric (bamboo I think), fit well and are pretty. order arrived quickly with no issues. I was worried because I never know which size a 10 with a B cup corresponds to but they fit perfectly (I got M).

I made an order then came across the bad reviews on here, immediately panicked and emailed them asking to cancel it as I was worried about their administration situation. I expected them to say no but they said cancelling was no problem and that they had been brought out of administration and were giving refunds as normal. I cancelled but really wanted one item so made a new smaller order. I had to return the item as it did not fit and there were no issues whatsoever. I wanted to right this review as even though I think it was unacceptable that the previous customers did not get refunds, they seem to trading as normal at the moment and people should not be put off buying from them if they really want something.
