Forecasts You Cannot Rely On

Within 1 hour, a forecast of less than a 5% chance of rain over the next 8 hours changes to an 80% chance of thunderstorms. Over and over again this app provides forecasts you cannot rely on. In an age of satellites and technology, this app is still in the stone age.

I know this is probably not a pertinent…

I know this is probably not a pertinent issue but, Jordan Steele is the most unprofessional reporter on The Weather Channel.
I’m sure he makes enough $ to buy a decent wardrobe but consistently has his sleeves rolled up & wears drab I’ll fitting clothes on TV. Emphasis on TV.
Everyone on the channel dresses very professional & makes for a good impression.
PLEASE, can someone address this??????
It’s extremely annoying &Im sure other avid watchers have noticed.
I might add that he seems wired all the time as if he’s got ants in his pants. What is wrong with him?????

Too many ads

I am long time user of weather channel but just deleted it due to ads taking over my screen. Have to wait too long for ads to clear to view weather. Plenty of other websites available with acceptable amount of ads.

Extremely bad

Extremely bad, really inaccurate, they predicted in the mid 80s today it was 100, off by at least 15 degrees, common for them to be off, they predict much less snow than we get too. I live near Green Bay, WI.

I wish I could rate it lower

I wish I could rate it lower. I have a lawn care and snow service business so I need somewhat accurate information. Weather.com in my opinion has to be one of the worst sites for giving accurate weather predictions. They should not even be allowed to call themselves a weather service in my opinion and be taken/removed from the web.

Absolutely Useless — A Masterclass in Frustration and Inaccuracy

If I could give Weather.com negative stars, I would. This site is a perfect storm of clutter, clickbait, popup spam, and outright inaccuracy. The homepage looks like it was designed by someone with a vendetta against clean layouts. It’s crammed with sensationalist headlines (“Apocalyptic Storm Brewing??!”), autoplaying videos, and ads that slow down your computer and browser down to a crawl.

As for the actual weather? Don’t bother. I’ve gotten more accurate forecasts from sticking my hand out the window. Weather.com can’t seem to decide if it’s predicting rain or sunshine until five minutes after the weather already happened. It changes hourly, often drastically — one minute it's "100% chance of rain", the next it’s "Clear skies all day!" Meanwhile, it’s hailing outside and everyday wrong, wrong and still wrong.

The mobile app is somehow even worse: bloated, slow, and constantly pushing pointless notifications about meaningless “weather trends” halfway across the country. I want to know if I need an umbrella today — not read a three-paragraph op-ed on sandstorms in Arizona.

To top it off, 90% of the site is clearly designed just to harvest ad revenue. You’ll spend more time dodging pop-ups and cookie consent banners than actually checking the weather. It’s like trying to read a forecast while being assaulted by a digital carnival barker.

Bottom line: Weather.com is a disaster — ironically, the only forecast they consistently deliver. Avoid it and use literally anything else: a competitor’s app, your phone’s default weather widget, or a pinecone. All of them are more reliable.

Just look out the window it's more reliable

Why have you put on your weather page/app rain and thunderstorms for the day yet I'm outside in shorts wearing my sun glasses badking in the sun??? You are not just wrong all the time with your predictions but way way way off! Yesterday on the spo it said it was sunshine for next 4 hours yet it was absolutely pissing it down with rain! Do better or dont predict at all! Cant plan your day around your predictions! Bring back the 90's predictions were always spot on back then! Absolute joke! Wish I could get paid for looking out my window and making a prediction least I'd be right!

Impressively inaccurate😳😬…

Just curious how they could consistently be wrong all the time. People actually make plans according to the weather... I could literally do heads or tails on a coin and get a more accurate forecast for rain than these guys do. Im just saying. Their only fuction is to predict the weather and are wrong 80% of the time or more. Its almost impressive. For gods sake, humans can literally make their own weather now, yet the weather channel can't figure out if it's gonna rain until it's actually raining😂😂😂

Today was the last straw!

This app was never all that good in terms of user interface but, out of sheer laziness, I stuck with it. Then...the forecasts became less-and-less accurate. Finally, it became cluttered with ads--to the point that a banner ad covers half of the page, and the bottom left quadrant is covered with another nonsense video ad. I couldn't even tell you what companies the ads were for, as I immediately try to close them or work around them.

Weather Channel: You've made it too much work for viewers to actually SEE the forecast. Couple that (the ads that cover content) with the poor UI, the inaccurate forecasts and the constant stupid non-weather-related stories that NO ONE gives a flying fig about, and you have found a way to totally bastardize your platform.

Killed by Ads!!

Have been using this for years, accepted Ads for fre use. Not worth paying for with so many other free apps. Recent updates block 3/4 the screen with 2 Ads on hourly view.
They've now rendering this App useless and pointless, not worth advertising on with users leaving, I'm deleting. The Met office have their own free App!
