I had been using WeWard for about 7 months when out of the blue, my account was banned. I was supposed to receive an email with details as to what terms I was violating, but got nothing. When I contacted WeWard, all I got was a generic message stating I had violated their terms and conditions with no explanation as to what those violations were, yet I was invited to open another account.
Update: after almost a dozen requests for an explanation, WeWard finally responded with a reasonable answer to what happened and rectified the situation. They have apologized for the inconvenience and have reinstated my account. Although it took a lot of effort, WeWard came through in the end. So, I'm willing to give them another try. On the plus side, when working correctly, this is an excellent, fun app to keep you motivated to move. I definitely walked much more using it. Hopefully, this issue has been resolved and all will go smoothly from now on.

Weward deactivated my account without cause. Claiming falsification of data source information being received. The data received was from a reliable source the app allows which is a Fitness Tracker. When pressed was given a generic response offering no solution, months/weeks of data and rewards lost.
My account has now been banned!!. After the First initial payout, I guess this is the practice expected to be used to prevent any further activity or payouts.

This app is a scam. I had it for over a year. As soon as I redeemed a reward my account was blocked and the reward was refused. I literally took me a year to get enough coins to redeem a $25 gift card. Customer service said I cheated. You only get blocked when you redeem the rewards, as long as you are allowing them to mine your data, flood you with ads to gamble and engage in other risky behavior, you can use the app. When my 77 year old mother redeemed her points, she was immediately blocked. Customer service asked for her IRS taxes last year to prove she was residing in the United States. They only gave this option when she disclosed her age, this is elder abuse; stealing the personal and confidential data. My father was also blocked when he redeemed his coins. As was my mother-in-law. That is three different households, with different habits and usage. The only thing in common is that as soon as you redeem your coins you are blocked and your gift card is revoked. Read the App Store. All the negative reviews are forced to the bottom as they upvote as helpful the positive reviews and reply to them.

Scam overall. When you get to higher “leagues,” playing against bots becomes much more apparent. That said, you have non-existent chances of actually winning. On Sunday before awarding rank, the bots will “majestically” get 1000s of points to ensure you don’t get higher-level wards. If in it for the monetization part… get out now. If use it to motivate for walking…so be it. Very deceptive when originally presented with an add etc…

The hike provided an opportunity for us to explore, and the cards we collected also allowed us to learn about many countries and their cultures.

The Weward app, just as I was getting close to the 10,000 wards mark closed tge account without explanation. Its a total ripoff.

After one year I’m half way to $10 and if I get there this assumes no fees, no messing me about etc. By then I would have spent over 1,000 hours on this. So my pay might be $0.01 an hour if I’m lucky…

So far so good just didn't under stand why I couldn't PayPal my $20.00 dollar had to only receive $10.00

Constant ads telling me about it and so I thought I’d give it a try

I have been walking for very fr for the last 3 days and comparing WeWard to my normal step count app Weward counts lower.

This morning I already took 150 steps just inside my home and it is still 0 on WeWard App

Added incentive to walk everyday.Love having different challenges each day. One of the frustrations is having to hit an exact number of steps. My Fitbit doesn't always cooperate and it is difficult to sync. Another is winning ad free for a certain amount of days. It seems that I get triple the amount of ads after winning ad free.

At first, Weward does pay the very first reward, which gives the impression that the app is legitimate. However, after that initial payout, once you continue using the app and request another reward, the situation changes completely.

In my case, after requesting a subsequent payout, my account was blocked without a clear explanation, and I never received the reward I earned. Customer support stopped being helpful and failed to justify the block or process the payment.

This feels misleading: paying the first reward builds trust, but blocking users afterward prevents them from ever receiving more. I followed the rules and used the app normally, yet still lost my earned rewards.

I would strongly caution anyone using this app beyond the first payout.

I like that you are encouraged to walk and earn WeWard points. But sometimes the ads are annoying especially when doesn’t close after the commercials. Instead of being able to convert points you can’t get it because you got stuck in the ads. Hopefully this can be alleviated. Thanks anyway for allowing to join the WeWard.

It's cool for something to do keeps u active and reaching for higher stepping goals it actually gives you cash threw venmo unlike all the other apps you have tried 😕 overall I'm actually surprised about how much I enjoy this app and how it actually gives venmo cash rather than just gift cards although i love Amazon gift cards

fun way to make me get off the couch. Like how I can interact with people only if I want. Don’t like the message board for fact that there is no way to retrieve the message, only showing up on iPhone notification.
