Today we are Wheelbase.co.uk, Wheelbase Lake District, Wheelbase Darlington and Wheelbase Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and friendly store for everyone who loves cycling, whether that be road cycling, mountain biking, touring, commuting, family riding or e-Bikes.
We are a team united by a passion for bikes and we have a wide range of cycling experience amongst our sales staff, mechanics and mail order team.
Our passion for cycling is invested back into the sport through the sponsorship and support of our British Elite road race team Wheelbase CabTech Castelli.
Now in its 12th year, we hold our annual MTB demo weekend in April, attracting up to 250 riders to our Lake District store, often in spite of the wet Cumbrian weather. We have a great community of cyclists here in the Lake District and there are plenty of events going on throughout the year, including the 3 Valley Challenge in June, our Tour de Staveley in July and the Wheelbase Spring Classic in March. We offer backing to local organisations where possible and are great supporters of Kendal Cycle Club and Fix the Fells.

Hassle to review
Great item and great price.
However I got my item next day despite not paying £4.95 for the privelige. Whilst this should not be a complaint I would say it is unfair to those who pay for it! Also I have been harassed 4 times to review them!!!!!!!!!!

Called in on Saturday at the Lake…
Called in on Saturday at the Lake District shop with the intention of buying a bike the guy upstairs on the road bike section was very judgemental I asked a few questions about a certain brand of bike and he said their was no problems then went back on his words t admit their problems very cocky guy the chap with glasses on and shorts it’s a shame as I traveled 150 miles to this store horrible person change your attitude hope you read this I watched how you spoke to people too it was disgraceful you was choosing people’s bike for them ramming it at them you need this bike one poor lady looked at me and Said forget this I don’t want a bike being forced onto me and we walked out together behind each other would never return be careful folk I should hate buying a bike and having a warranty issue spoke to me like I was an idiot

Bike came super secured in the box, no chance for any transit damage. All setup nicely, no need for me to do make any adjustments or tightening bolts, which happened with other major players in the industry. Highly recommended.
