Exceptional Service from Carl Dodd at WHN Solicitors

I had an excellent experience with Carl Dodd handling my conveyancing. He was professional, highly diligent, and had a keen eye for detail throughout the process. Carl kept me informed at every stage and made everything smooth and stress-free. I’d happily recommend him and WHN Solicitors to anyone needing a reliable conveyancing solicitor.

5 Stars – Highly Recommended!

Jennifer Prysiaznyj has been an absolute pleasure to work with during the purchase of our home. Despite a lengthy and sometimes complex sale process, she remained consistently professional, efficient, and courteous in all of her communications. Her attention to detail and calm, reassuring approach made the experience far less stressful than it could have been. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better solicitor to handle our transaction. I would wholeheartedly recommend WHN, and especially Jennifer, to anyone in need of shariah compliant conveyancing services. Thank you so much! Fatima

Exceptional Service

Jennifer Prysiaznyj and Stacy Power have just acted for us with the sale of a property and the service provided was exceptional. WHN Solicitors Residential Conveyancing Service was highly recommended to us and Jennifer and Stacey have exceeded our expectations. They are both very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. From the initial contact to completion of the sale Jennifer and Stacey were always one step ahead of the game, easy to contact and dealt with matters in a competent and timely manner. We were well supported throughout the process, given clear and concise advice and were kept well informed. I would definitely use their services again and would have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

I've used them twice now, and will continue to do so!

This is the second time I've personally used WHN for property services, and I'm continuing to do so for an upcoming purchase. I coudn't recommend them highly enough - I've worked with Jennifer, and most recently Stacey who I have found to be efficient and friendly, taking the time to answer any questions that come up as well as ensuring a smooth process.

Delayed My Case for Weeks Due to Negligence

Worst experience. We are currently using this firm for a property conveyance in Manchester, and the solicitor has been extremely difficult to reach. Emails often go unanswered unless chased multiple times. Communication is very poor, and there has been little transparency on the progress of the case. They even recorded the wrong property address, which delayed the process by three weeks—something I only discovered after calling myself. Overall irresponsible and inaccurate. Definitely would not recommend.

Halal mortgage

I recently purchased my house through halal mortgage with Gatehouse and WHN.
Jennifer and Stacey were absolutely amazing. They are extremely knowledgable about the process, kept me informed the whole time and the everything was very smooth. My estate agent also told me that WHN were really good throughout the process and kept on top of everything.
I can’t thank Jennifer and Stacey enough and will be recommending to everyone who wants to buy a house esp through halal mortgages.
Thank you again :)

Review of WHN Solicitors (Stephen…

Review of WHN Solicitors (, Family Law and conveyancing

I would rate WHN 1 star if possible. My experience with solicitor Mr SP and the firm overall was damaging, costly, and deeply unprofessional.

Billing was unclear from the start: phone calls were free, but once we met, every minute was billed without warning. More seriously, my solicitor (SP) confirmed I could email my ex under a non-molestation order. I followed his advice, was later arrested for breach, and this mistake damaged my child contact case for over a year. Follow-up was slow, statements were vague, and transcripts were requested far too late.

Court hearings were repeatedly mishandled, with missing or late documents that made it look like I wasn’t taking proceedings seriously. On property matters, WHN delayed and even lost track of my file, causing my ex to withdraw from a buyout and leaving me at risk of losing my home.

After filing my complaint, WHN claimed “the file is silent” on clear incidents of malpractice. They are sworn by oath to be honest, yet their findings felt like lies to protect their staff. They charged me close to £20,000 in a year, yet at my final hearing I was left without a solicitor and forced to instruct a barrister just days before. While my barrister was excellent, the short notice limited my options. WHN then blamed me for not submitting evidence on time—when in fact nobody from their side had prepared me because Stephen had stepped down.

In my experience, WHN cannot be trusted. Their communication is slow, misleading, and dismissive. I had to chase them at every stage, and their complaint process downplayed serious mistakes that could have cost SP his job.

Although SP can present well in court, WHN as a firm is careless, uncommunicative, and dishonest. I would strongly advise avoiding them at all costs.

Since my response i have asked for call backs from senior members of staff for 3 days. I eventually spoke to the head of family law after repeatedly calling over 11 times back to back and trying his direct number 3 times. I informed him I was recording the phone call he got frustrated during the conversation and told me to "shut up" when asking for clarity despite him being recorded. I dont expect this from the director of a family law firm especially when I have such serious claims and hard evidence.

Catherine is truly excellent

I searched for a reputable solicitors firm to carry out my Will and Lasting Power of Attorney for both myself and my husband. Woodcoks, Haworth and Nuttall were by far the most attentive and knowledgeable. We worked directly with Catherine. Catherine is efficient, clear and professional, yet has a wonderful balance of compassion and acknowledgement of sensitive situations.

I’m not the best with legal terms yet Catherine was and is very capable of explaining things so that anybody could understand.

This service was excellent value for money, Catherine is truly fantastic - any amendments were no trouble for her to change and she was very keen to make sure we were both fully comfortable with everything in our Wills and LPAs.

Her secretary Gillian is so lovely too and will do what she can to accommodate diaries.

Thank you so much!
