I very rarely leave reviews. However, this customer service is the most deserving one,
I had a appointment for kitchen design with JENA at wicks Guildford @16:30

Jena was Fantastic, she assisted us with smile, she explain everything clearly and given us options as well as she was very patient with us with chaning things around and had a Great product knowledge,
I will definitely be coming back and referring everyone i know to this place..
please feed this back to her an exceptional member of staff.

Chris was about to go for lunch but saw I needed help loading another 25 paving slabs, so came to help.
Much appreciated (again).

Wanted to put up a shed so i went to wickes down the road and spoke to a helpful chap called Chris. Showed me the slabs i needed and was very helpful and ordered them for delivery on the spot. Was treated so well i went back to get the shed. Highly recommend this store

I've been working on a bathroom renovation at my daughter's house. The staff at Guildford have been brilliant and always on hand to help. In particular Gemma has been a ray of sunshine and always bright and helpful. Highly recommend the store and its staff.

Looking for building sand and cement, I was advised by a very helpful assistant called Chris. He was v patient and helpful, so thank you!

Terrible customer service! We booked a bathroom installation through wickes which they said we had to pay in full upfront. We paid thousands of pounds in good faith. They sent an installer who doesnt cover our area so couldnt do the job. They sent another installer who works alone and couldnt do the job as it would take 3-4 weeks to install a small bathroom which every other installer said would take 2 weeks. We would have no proper access to a toilet for 3-4 weeks. Wickes said they would send a third installer but the third installer never contacted us. I tried to speak to wickes store in Guildford. They said to call customer services, who said to contact the store. I either want an installer who can turn up promptly to do a quote or a full refund as Wickes have wasted my time, caused a lot of stress and not provided the service i have paid for.

Sian at Guildford was brilliant. She is so knowledgeable about all the products in store and has clearly done many, many DIY projects herself and was able to suggest solutions to the various challenges that were facing me. I'll be coming back when I next need help, that's for sure.

Had problems sourcing non scratched door handles from Wickes, Tom in Guildford went above and beyond checking all stock. Very helpful - Thanks Tom

As a contractor I need suppliers to be efficient in delivering materials to site sometimes at short notice etc. The staff at this Wicks store are always polite and helpful. Today GEMMA solved my delivery problem. From a customer care perspective it dosen’t get any better. Thank you GEMMA for your smile your patience and all round professionalism.

On 9th July I bought 6 boxes of Wickes Metro White tiles 20 x 10 cm (166211) from the Wickes store Woodbridge Business Park Guildford. These were for a kitchen refurbishment. After the wall had been prepared for the tiles we opened the first box to find one tile was broken. On inspecting the tiles we decide they were wrong for our kitchen. I took the boxes back to Wickes for a refund. Wickes refunded 5 boxes but refused to refund the box which had the missing broken tile. They said they could not re sell that box. I fail to understand why a company the size of Wickes could not re package the box and add a new tile. They made me feel at fault because I did not have the broken tile or a photo of the broken tile. It was obvious they did not believe that we had not broken the tile. I phoned their customer service and they seemed to indicate that they agreed with me. They told me to call the Store manger which I did. She also refused a refund quoting company policy. I think their approach to Customer Service is inflexible and unreasonable and I and my family will never use them again. The box of perfectly good tiles will end up in Landfill. Bad job Wickes. Just seen your reply which means nothing. You sold me faulty good, blamed me, took no responsibility and are quite happy to keep my money. Reputable retailers refund without quibble, Wickes is not one of them.

Gemma is exceptionally good all round. Great service, goes the extra mile, always friendly and smiling. I don’t usually leave reviews, but Gemma deserves it every time I see her.

Chris from the Guildford store was really Helpful he showed what I needed where it was loaded on the trolley and helped me put it in my car as my back was hurting.

Also explained to me how the bags that where split and put in others where the same just the bag has whole or ripped and I saved money.

Highly recommend the Guildford store and especially Chris.

Amazing help from Jena in the kitchen design team, simply could not have done it without her, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, full of bright ideas and practical advice - can’t thank her enough

Great customer service

They have some super people working in Wickes Guildford which nakes a massive difference. I'm a woman in 60s who hates DIY and especially hates DIY shops which I find confusing frustrating and generally the equivalent of my husband's "clothes shopping hell". However, in the car park Chris ( I hope i have spelling correct- chap with piercings) spotted me eying the compost bags with trepidation. He came and offered help- gratefully recieved. He then asked if i needed anything else. With sinking heart I admitted that I needed concrete. He took me straight to the right place and gave just the right amount of help ( no mansplaining!). The net result is I relaxed in a place Id normally get in and out of ASAP , pottered round getting lots of other things I never knew I needed ( mini incinerator?) spent about quadruple what I'd planned to and will definitely use as my main DIY place now Godalming Homebase has closed. My only fear is handling the gigantic trolleys, but im sure ill find the knack....apparrently its all about 'dragging'!

Gemma was so helpful this morning helping to explain and guide me through Trade Pro registration for my new business.

Despite it being a busy time of the day Gemma was happy to answer my questions and took the time to help me out. Greatly appreciated and a credit to the staff at this store.

Gemma was really helpful and assisted me in finding the item I was looking for that was not on the shelf but in the storage area. She was also happy and cheerful the whole time which in this modern world you don’t always get, so a real breath of fresh air.
