I usually don’t do reviews but this one is very well deserved and must do it.
My appointment for our kitchen design was with Kieren.
Immediately, we established a very good working relationship. Kieren clearly understood my needs and budget so he worked extremely hard to design the best possible layout, including the cupboard units to refurbish our kitchen. This wasn’t just one visit, there were quite a few, as the requirements changed as we went along. Communication with Kieren was always extremely good. He was accommodating and supportive along the way, I couldn’t fault him in any way. The rest of the staff, including the manager were also helpful and knowledgable to resolve any issues I might have had and made sure everything was sorted out. All in all I have had a very positive experience and happy with the end result. Many thanks to everyone at the branch.

I went at the end of last year to help my mother-in-law choose a kitchen at Wickes in Hendon. They were super helpful and happy to run us through all the options and try and give us a good price. The problem started once we needed to contact them after this. We we were told by our builder not to use the square profile worktops as they split very easily and this was also reflected in the reviews. So a couple of weeks before delivery I let them know that we didn’t want the worktops anymore and we would source our own. I was told to still accept delivery of them and that they would then be collected and refunded. Only now two months later after having to harass the store staff have they managed to do so. Trying to get through to their customer services on the phone is absolutely impossible. There is an hour wait at a minimum I have never actually successfully got through. One of the cupboards is the wrong height to give clearance for the gas hob that we decided to get. They now won’t return and refund the doors for this cupboard and want us to purchase a very expensive replacement. I have had to email and call endlessly to get any response from them and even visit the store and now I have to take time off work to go back to the store even just to get a refund for the worktops.
Update: no response from Wickes, I went to the store yesterday and was left waiting an hour to speak to them, they had the cheek to charge me £50 to collect the worktops that I told them I didn’t want and then try to charge me full price for a replacement cupboard

Horrible after sales service , purchased the sofia cream kitchen and two doors have cracked from the bottom, the hendon store said 10 years warranty and customer services say 5 year warranty.
If phone the store they ask you to contact customer services and customer services tell you to contact the store.
Poor knowledge of product number , poor knowledge of whether the item can be still purchased .
These people are quick to take your money . Good luck to anyone trying to even get through to customer service.

We recently purchased our kitchen from Wickes in Hendon, and we couldn't be more pleased with the service we received. During our first visit, Lindsay was extremely helpful, taking considerable time to answer all our questions and arranging an appointment with Kieren, the store designer. Kieren was very patient and thoroughly explained everything we needed to know to help us make an informed decision. By our third visit, we were confident in our choice and purchased our kitchen. Both Lindsay and Kieren were highly professional, and we would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a new kitchen.

I come into the Hendon branch often and the team are always helpful and polite. They always say hello and help me find what I need to complete my customers projects.

As a builder, I’ve been to plenty of suppliers over the years, but the Hendon Wickes store really stands out. The layout is spot on, and they always have the materials I need, whether it’s timber, fixings, or tools. Saves me a lot of hassle when I’m on a tight schedule.

The staff here are brilliant—proper helpful and know their stuff. No faffing about or giving you the runaround; they get straight to the point and make sure you’re sorted. They’ve clearly been well-trained, and it shows.

The manager deserves a special mention. You can tell shes got everything running like clockwork. Hands-on, approachable, and genuinely seem to care about making sure both trade and DIY customers get what they need without any hassle. It’s rare to see that kind of leadership.

I’ll definitely be back, and recommend this Wickes to anyone in the trade.

As a property developer with a trade account, I regularly buy from Wickes. Last Friday, I went to Cricklewood for weatherproofing tape, which online showed 5 in stock. Only one was available, damaged and heavily taped, though they assured me it was just the box. When I opened it, the product inside was gooey. I took it to the West Hendon branch for a refund, hoping to find an undamaged replacement. They refused to refund the damaged goods even though it was stated “damaged” on the invoice. Furthermore Despite the website showing 14 in stock, they had only two, both damaged. Worse, the staff and manager were rude. My issue with Wickes is less about inventory inaccuracies and more about poor customer service and rude staff.
