Wickes - Welwyn Garden City Reviews

Oliver Beattie has helped me and my family massively with upgrading our kitchen. It looks incredible and all thanks to him. The staff there were wonderful but if there's anyone in that place that deserves a round of applause (or a raise lol) its him

Recently had my kitchen done by DC Ollie he was so helpful and professional. Was always available and made me feel like a priority no matter the size of the the project.

Shereese helped so much with my grandparents while in store no question was too much and was extremely kind and professional in her approach. I can't recommend this branch and staff enough.

Designer Oliver at Wickes Welwyn did an amazing job designing my newly installed kitchen very happy with the outcome would 100% recommend him to friends and family

Just had our kitchen redone for the new year and wanted to say a big thankyou to Oliver. His customer service was exceptional, was very knowledgeable in terms of supporting us in the design we wanted and was happy to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend wickes Welwyn with any kitchen and bathroom installations and couldn’t be happier with the work Oliver pulled of to give us a smooth and brilliant experience for such a big job!!

As Headteacher of a Primary School, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Wickes – Welwyn Garden City for their outstanding support of our school.

Michael and the team at the Welwyn Garden City branch have been absolutely incredible in offering practical advice, high-quality resources and ongoing support. Their staff are consistently knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely keen to help, taking the time to understand our needs as a school and offering thoughtful, cost-effective solutions.

Whether advising on materials, helping us source the right products, or providing guidance that has saved us both time and money, Wickes have gone above and beyond what we would expect from a local business. Their willingness to support the school has made a real and tangible difference to our environment and, ultimately, to the children who learn here every day.

We are extremely grateful for their professionalism, generosity and community spirit, and would wholeheartedly recommend the Welwyn Garden City Wickes branch to any school or organisation looking for reliable expertise and excellent customer service.

Thank you to Oliver from the Welwyn store for our lovely new kitchen! Great support throughout the process, thoughtful guidance to our never ending list of questions, and a stunning kitchen perfectly tailored to the space.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Service from Mitchell & Greg at Wickes!

I had a great experience at Wickes thanks to two really helpful team members, Mitchell and Greg. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to understand what I needed. I went in unsure exactly what part I needed and even mentioned I was trying to fix my toaster — they didn’t just point me to shelves, they listened, asked questions, and made smart suggestions to help me find the right solution.

Their support made a tricky DIY moment much easier, and I left feeling confident about what to do next. Customer service like that really makes a difference!

I visited the store on a Saturday. Meeting with Amy for a kitchen design appointment. I was instantly reassured I’d made the right decision. Amy’s product knowledge, experience and excellent customer service skills shone through. She listened in detail to my wants, needs and list of like-to-haves. In the hours appointment we wisked through every aspect and I’m really looking forward to seeing the first stage design. I’d highly recommend Amy for a kitchen design appointment!

Served by Mitchell multiple occasions and have to say what a lovely helpful young man he is, always polite with a smile, makes a refreshing change

Francie went out of his way to help me with the items that I needed to buy. He was very knowledge and was very polite.

Thank you Mitchell at Wickes Welwyn Garden City for your help yesterday. He listened to me and what I needed and made sure I left the store with the products for the bathroom repairs.
I want to thank all the staff at this store for their support everytime I visited the store and needed advice. Best DIY store in the area, I say this as a resident for over 40 years.
Well done Wickes Welwyn Garden City team.

We recently had a bathroom fitted by Wickes and are really happy with the results. Amy at Welwyn Garden City Wickes has been an absolute star. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge and she made everything so simple and stress free. She co-ordinated with Tony the fitter and the whole process felt professional and ran smoothly. Full credit to both Amy and Tony, I would recommend these in a heartbeat.

Helpful in more ways

The team at the Wickes Welwyn Garden City have been helpful in solving our dilemma - especially Alfie, going all the way to help us. Thanks again.

Today I dealt with a guy called Greg. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about plumbing and really helped me out of a tight spot with a sink issue. In my opinion Wickes WGC is the best store around. Always fully stocked with great choices.

Great service and help from Lewis in store the other day, along with his other two colleagues on the front desk.
Lewis checked information and compared product specifications in a friendly and courteous manner, which lead to an in-store sale. Good work!
