I too found them totally amateurish ! No call backs ( unless they wanted money out of me !) and Vijayla swanning in and out of the office at her own convenience ! Robert Pringle downright rude and condescending yet needed prompting to do his own job properly !
Feel sorry for Tina stuck in the middle but will never use again

- they lied about the fact that they weren’t accredited for Halifax mortgages. They ended up working through a third party solicitors firm because of this, which only delayed the purchase further.
- they only told us after exchange that we weren’t in fact eligible for help to buy, and so we had to find thousands of pounds in the space of a few days. This is despite them being told of our intention to use help to buy 10 months previously.
- they were so slow that they effectively delayed the purchase for several months, despite us regularly calling and shouting at them to get on with it.
- they told us nothing about the survey. No queries, responses, or anything.
- they didn’t give us any information about the kind of building insurance we needed until the day of exchange (which then delayed the exchange).
- our solicitor, Vijaya, who is a partner of the firm, seems to work a leisurely 6 hours a day and you can only contact her a few days of the week. she frequently ”works from home”, but you cannot contact her while she does this, she doesn’t seem to get anything done, and she certainly doesn’t make any calls to you or anyone involved in the purchase.
- the solicitors who work there should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. They are actively causing harm with their incompetence. The legal secretaries were often doing their best despite this. But sometimes a fish rots from the head.

DO NOT USE

It took the 6 months for a cash sale with no chain. They would not reply to emails/phonecalls. They would not respond to the other solicitor. It was AWFUL with them. Now, they have not paid the estate agents and this is 14 months later.

We have now used Wilson and Berry for 2 house moves and have found them professional and efficient. There were a few issues as ever with the process that arouse out of searches but these were efficiently dealt with and any queries were promptly dealt with. I can see that there have been some negative reviews but this was not our experience. Should we move again we would have no hesitation instructing W&B again.

Wilson & Berry Solicitors are our first choice. We have always received excellent service for over 20 years. Services ranging from Conveyancing, Wills and Power of Attorney. Mr. Pringle and Mrs. Katinas are always professional, very helpful and very efficient in their work. Wilson & Berry have served me over 20 years on all areas of purchasing and buying properties, and more recently on my property development programmes. AVOID this awful company at all costs! you run the risk of potentially losing large sums of money…..I have never come across a company as unorganised/amateurish as these, the amount of documents we had sent them more than once as they simply couldn’t’ find the original ones we sent was staggering – Robert lost the scanned copy of my passport & drivers licence (very important documents) then Wilson & Berry had their emails hacked into so I have no idea how many of their customers details have been compromised? And what information the hackers had taken from Wilson & Berrys email account? Since the hack I am receiving far more scam calls and emails then every before.

IF YOU WERE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE A WILSON & BERRY CUSTOMER IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS I WOULD CHECK EVERYTHING AS YOUR DETAILS MAY HAVE BEEN STOLEN,
I wonder if Wilson & Berry had warned their customers of this major security breach?

Thanks to Wilson & Berrys emails accounts being hacked (both Tina And Roberts were which has been confirmed) my partner lost a huge sum of money, following the instructions in an email sent by Tina (which was expected and in an email chain) my partner sent the money (exact amount previously requested by Wilson & Berry) to the bank details provided by Wilson & Berry, a few days later Robert sent my partner an email confirming receipt of funds – sadly we know now both these emails to be fraudulent and my partners life savings now gone.

Wilson & Berrys actions upon hearing of this was nothing short of disgusting, Robert Pringles initial reaction to my partner was to laugh at her-there was not one bit of empathy,help or verbal support from anyone from Wilson & Berry, shocking.
We managed to finally get hold of Ruby (partner at Wilson & Berry) and as usual she was no help at all (standard behaviour from Wilson & Berry) the initial call of this very serious situation was taking by Ruby either on a school run or out shopping (LOTS of back ground noise) – not professional and Ruby clearly didn’t give a damn about our plight.

I’m glad the Financial Times have run a story today on the above and named Wilson & Berry so the whole nation knows about them, more people in the Bracknell area need to be made aware of ‘one star solicitors’ and chose a better team to use, and more people need to be made aware of conveyancing scams – as house buyers we weren’t but as solicitors Wilson & Berry were - and not once did they warn us.

I have since emailed numerous solicitors and in every instance their reply has a warning in bold and or red warning of fraud at the bottom of their email- Wilson & Berry don’t.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Was appointed Wilson & Berry through Homeward Legal brokerage.
Initially seemed fine but (and I don't blame them for this) my appointed solicitor had to take unexpected absence. However, it was in their power to ensure case was picked up and handled but seemed like lots of temps brought in to help and case got passed around until I finally got someone.
Thought communication was very poor and had to do all the chasing to find out what was going on and where we were (especially as it took a lot to answer my emails!) Thankfully the odd prodd from Homeward Legal helped to move along.
I initially gave them 3-stars but I've reduced that to 1. Why? Because to top it all off it turns out they didn't bother to pay HMRC the stamp duty within 30 days of completion despite having all the funds and I end up getting a bill demanding the payment plus a fine and interest.
No way I'd now recommend them to anyone.
Would also have been useful if the pricing between Homeward's quote and the one from Wilson & Berry had matched wording and format as it made it hard to follow whether I was actually getting the same price. In the end I paid £1,400 compared to the £1,321 quoted for a 2-bed leashold flat transaction with no chain and it took just under 10wks.
