Wish I had read the reviews first
Wish I had read the reviews first. I built a site on Wix years ago and remembered it being a smooth process.
Wix' new "harmony" editing suite was marketed as the best thing ever, suitable and perfect for exactly what I was trying to do with a website....
Spent 40 hours manually doing the copy and media on the site because the AI kept messing it up and crashing my browser.
Eventually tried to add the key plug-in/app to my site to make it function, downloaded the app in wix fine, spent hours going through it setting everything up and went to add as an element to my site and it wouldn't work, no error message or anything. AI didn't have a clue, google didn't have any useful insights, eventually i connected to the help chat and was told Harmony doesn't support that app and my best option was to start again using their old editing suite.............. Of course this is after I've signed up with a business membership, paid the year in full to get the discount, bought add-ons and extras etc etc.
The help chat staff member was very sympathetic, said he took a compliant and submitted it for me, said I would hear back. That was over 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard a thing. Worst thing is I still get ads all over my feed for how good wix harmony is...
Long and short of it, do not recommend but i'm stuck using them for my site now.

WIX HARMONY EDITOR SUCKS SO BAD
WIX HARMONY EDITOR SUCKS SO BAD! It's slow, unresponsive and the AI assistant literally just does whatever the hell it wants. Prime example, 45 minutes wasted trying to amend logo text from dreama to LDFC, not hard, any AI can do that in about 30 seconds but not wix's. First we get LD love heart emoji C, so i ask again, then i get some kind of LDFC with a paint splash. So i ask to lose the paint splash and make all the letters the same, nope now its gone back to dreama, so i ask it to stop ignoring commands, which it apologises for. Try again, finally right YESSSS. Go to the bottom of the page and ask it to do the same to the bottom logo and it reverts the entire page full of changes back to 45 minutes ago at which point i've reached the decision this is the biggest pile of cack i've ever used and our business website resides on old Wix sensible editor for as long as it exists. Please Wix lose this steaming pile of dung quickly.

Disastrous 5-day launch delay due to dysfunctional Wix AI (Aries) and untrained support
I recently attempted to launch the website for my professional consulting firm using Wix Premium. The experience has been an absolute operational disaster that delayed our business launch by 5 days.
The issues began at the foundational level with the built-in AI agent (Aries in Wix Harmony). The AI automatically configured the booking, location, and form architectures in a way that completely broke the form logic on the live checkout site, completely hidden from the backend view.
When I reached out to Wix Customer Care, the first "expert" via live chat demonstrated a shocking lack of basic technical knowledge regarding their own application settings. I was given highly destructive advice to completely delete and reinstall the Wix Bookings app—which disrupted my setup—only to be told it was a "webpage bug" before being passed off.
After 4 days of waiting in limbo, an email response from the bookings team revealed it wasn't a bug at all, but rather a hidden, rigid location setting mismatch created by their own AI agent on day one. Furthermore, the automated tax system (Avalara integration) consistently failed to pull or display Canadian GST at checkout due to these broken fields.
If you are a Canadian business requiring accurate tax and booking workflows, be warned: the Wix AI tools can create quiet, critical errors, and the frontline support staff are entirely unequipped to troubleshoot their own ecosystem. Proceed with caution.

I built my site using Wix Harmony and…
I built my site using Wix Harmony and later wanted to make it bilingual with Wix Multilingual. Wix’s own help pages directed me to look for the feature, but it simply wasn’t available. Only after digging further did I discover that Wix Multilingual is not supported in the Harmony Editor.
This limitation should be made much clearer before users spend hours building a site. It turned what should have been a simple bilingual setup into a frustrating mess.
The Wix AI support was also disappointing. It gave generic answers and failed to identify the actual compatibility issue, even though this was the key problem. For a platform that heavily promotes AI-assisted website building, I expected much better guidance.
Wix can be visually convenient, but the combination of hidden limitations and poor AI support made the experience far more difficult than it needed to be.
That’s strong enough to sting, but still sounds completely reasonable.

Wix used to be my nr 1 for creating websites for personal and business ideas. I loved the ease and the speed - and the designs were really nice. I used it professionally to bring ideas to life. Laterly - perhaps since Aria and Wix Harmony, it's become very very slow, inefficient and actually quite hard to use. It's lost all its magic to me.

The Wix Harmony platform is unusable
The Wix Harmony platform is unusable. It's laggy, clunky, and slow. There is very little capability for integrating existing html other than to "add an element." They really want you to use their Aria AI client, but it's probably one of the most useless AI features I've ever experienced. I asked it to reorganize my header, for instance, and it made the logo and text so tiny it was unreadable. A complete waste of my time. Horrible user experience.

Wix AI Harmony is a disaster!
I've been a loyal Wix customer for many years, but my experience with Wix AI Harmony has been an absolute disaster.
I spent over a week of my free time building a website with Harmony, only to discover that the multilingual features didn't work properly.
I couldn't translate the site or use multiple language tool. Then I switched to the mobile view, and the entire layout was broken—elements were missing, sections were out of place, and the website became unusable.
After contacting support, I was told the only solution was to start all over again. A whole week of work completely wasted.
My advice: Do NOT use Wix AI Harmony. Use the normal templates and build your site properly from scratch. The AI is clearly not ready for real-world use and should never have been released in its current state.
This has been the most frustrating website-building experience I've ever had, and it's honestly making me consider moving my websites to another platform after many years with Wix. Extremely disappointed!

I have used wix on several businesses…
I am writing this to warn other business owners and web designers before they invest time or money. The recently launched Harmony AI does not function as advertised. The home page loads completely blank. This is not a minor glitch; it is a fundamental failure of a live tool. Wix support has not provided an adequate solution or timeline for a fix, and this is actively impacting my business. Avoid using wix.

Loved Wix-now diss harmony !!
I absolutly loved doing my first website on Wix a few months ago, I found it intuitive, straightforward, easy to change /try things, easy to play about, easy to get polished looking results, easy to figure out how to do things or to find out. It is published and looks darned good if I say so myself!
I tried a 2nd website last week - and it sent me down AI 'harmony' route- aaaarrrrggghhhh!!! it is the most frustrating, laggy, useless, hard to use, non intuitive, impossibly frustrating wretched thing! and 'harmonious' was not how i was feeling after asking 'Aria' for help!!! I couldn't do the easiest things, like making pics the same size ( and no Aria, the same size in pixels wasn't what I asked for and isn't the same thing!!!) And I couldn't go in to tweak a comma without waiting forever for that stupid bouncy screen to load. Stressful miserable experience.
They don't let you move all yr content into old editor, :-( , but it was easier & quicker & better for my overheating brain to ditch the new site & start again on the old editor.
Why fix something that ain't broke? Why is AI so woeful? I am not a professional designer, but I was perfectly well able to be a bit creative- why get a machine to do that worse? What is wrong with people doing their own stuff? Is this why resource -gobbling data centers are being built??? Bah to all that!!!
Misleading their customers
Before choosing website platform, I specifically checked if wix (and others) offered a multilingual option for the website. It was confirmed that the wix multilingual app would solve that task. However, when I created the website, I was unknowingly pushed towards the Harmony Editor. At that time it wasn't clear to me that the Harmony Editor is a relatively new AI editor that seems to have been launched in a rush. Bottomline: I created the website using the Harmony Editor only to discover that there are loads of - I would say - basic functionalities you cannot add to your site when using this new editor. Including the multilingual app. For that, I was informed by customer service, I should have used the classic editor. I have been back and forth with wix customer service for a long time about this issue now. Essentially would like them to pay for the website move from the harmony editor to the classic editor as they are MISLEADING their customers. During the communication with customer service I have received emails from 14 (!) different people (or bots, who knows) in the same email thread. I subsequently complained to the Danish consumer complaints board, but to no avail as Wix is registered outside of Denmark (and EU) in Israel. They have essentially missold a product and are misleading their customers in - I can only speculate - an attempt to keep up with their competitors on the AI front, and they get away with it because they are registered outside EU. If you are starting to build a new website in wix, stay well clear of their harmony editor if you need multiple languages on the site. The one star is for the final result on the design with the harmony editor: it does look nice.

I would not recommend wix. I built a website using Wix harmony. Now there are are issues and the website is missing important content for my business. They can’t seem to fix the issue and the customer service is absolutely horrendous. Poor

Wix has been an incredible platform for…
Wix has been an incredible platform for me as a small business owner. I have used it to build websites for both of my businesses, and the tools they provide have made creating professional, beautiful, and functional websites much easier than I ever imagined.
I especially appreciate how user-friendly the platform is and how much flexibility it offers. Wix has allowed me to bring my ideas to life and create spaces that truly represent my vision and mission. The Harmony tools and other features have been extremely helpful in making my websites a success.
Like many small business owners, I've experienced difficult financial periods, but I have been grateful for the opportunity to continue building and growing with Wix. Their platform has given me the ability to share my work, connect with others, and continue pursuing my goals.
I sincerely appreciate everything Wix has provided and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-use, professional website platform. Thank you, Wix, for helping entrepreneurs and dreamers turn ideas into reality.
Wonderful....love the challenge
Wonderful....love Editor, Studio and now Harmony as website development tools.
I now have 18 sites with WIX, as a pensioner developer it keeps my mind "Sharp"...

Harmony editor still need serious improvements
While Wix Support has been very helpful in moving me off Harmony, I still consider my issues with the editor to be unresolved.
Harmony has tremendous potential, but it needs significantly more work before it should be promoted as Wix's flagship website builder or recommended for all new sites. New users should be better informed about the editor's current limitations.
At present, Harmony is well suited for quickly creating AI-assisted landing pages or small websites. However, I would not recommend it for projects requiring precise layout control, custom code, complex interactive elements, database sorting, or manually building medium-to-large websites without relying on AI.
The hybrid AI/drag-and-drop concept is excellent, but Harmony still requires major bug fixes, performance optimizations, quality-of-life improvements, better auto-snapping behavior, and several core design features before I could rate it five stars.
Major issues with Auto Snapping:
• Live-only font size bugs caused by section/cell auto-shrinking below the 40px limit.
• Random gaps that only appear on the live site.
• Small edits can unexpectedly resize, reposition, or rescale unrelated elements across the page, making layouts difficult to maintain.
• Using arrow keys to move one element can resize or reposition unrelated elements.
• Auto-snapping issues become progressively worse once browser memory leaks begin.
• Section cell resize handles frequently disappear during heavy browser load, making grid resizing nearly impossible. An overlapping element selector is badly needed as editor stops reading mouse hovering at cell borders to suggest resize bars.
• Shared mobile element settings visually revert to desktop values after one second. Changes save correctly, but returning them to match desktop values requires awkward workarounds (borders, corners, colors, etc.).
• Harmony AI frequently forgets it is working inside the Harmony editor despite giving it harmony guardrails.
• Lightbox editing is nearly unusable. Auto-snapping consistently causes containers and resize handles to collapse into their contents whenever elements are moved or X/Y pin settings are adjusted. This issue is 100% reproducible and clearly exposes weaknesses in the snapping engine.
• Wix Blog editor dark mode colors have become glitched after editing a post on mobile. Text is difficult to read, header colors disappear while editing, and the editor background became dark brown while text colors appear incorrect.
Missing or unusable quality-of-life features:
• Overlapping element selector (like Classic Editor or equivalent).
• Layers panel causes severe memory leaks or crashes. Image previews should not load for every element by default since the panel is often the only way to select background elements.
• Page selector dropdown has similar performance problems because it loads page previews by default, creating 10+ second delays. Grid/text view helps but doesn't solve it.
• No ability to reorder site pages. For any serious website this is a critical missing feature.
• Missing custom anchor elements.
• Missing page background option. Backgrounds can only belong to one section, causing stretched elements to rescale backgrounds on the live site. The only workaround sacrifices section anchors.
• Missing custom "My Designs" library for duplicating multiple sections simultaneously.
• Auto-snapping toggle for both elements and section resizing. Broken snapping is worse than no snapping.
• X/Y coordinate display for precise element positioning.
These are only the issues I can remember offhand.
Despite my criticism, I'm still a fan of Harmony and genuinely want to see it succeed. If Wix continues improving it, Harmony could become the modern AI-assisted drag-and-drop builder that eventually replaces the Classic Editor. It simply isn't there yet.
If I knew the proper place to submit bug reports, I would gladly report these issues there instead of in a review.

Wix harmony feature that utilizes Ai is awful. Slow, and full of kinks. Also harmony wix features are difficult to navigate for someone that wants a more customizable site. I'm unhappy with it but I found out in order to remove my site from the Harmony feature back to regular wix studio, I have to rebuild my website from scratch.

No harmony for me
I jave done many web sites using wix through the years and I always enjoyed using the Editor. The last one I did was for a small business and required the whole deal in terms of CVS. It was alot harder as I had to learn hor everything needs to ne prepared for the site to do you inventory and sales automatically. Noe that it is done, it is wonderful!!
I was not so thrilled with the new AI Harmony. I prefer having more control and the waiting time in between actions needs to much patience which I don’t have. I did try it, but I am now starting again my new site with a duplicate of my business site to not have to use harmony as Editor.
Potentially Powerful, Enormously Frustrating, and Needlessly Complicated
I've spent the last few weeks building a website for my engineering business using Wix Harmony and my experience has been mixed.
The positives first. Wix makes it relatively easy to get a professional-looking website online without needing a developer. The templates are modern, hosting is included, and the platform provides a huge range of functionality out of the box. For someone starting a business, that's a big advantage.
However, the user experience leaves a lot to be desired. The platform often feels counter-intuitive, with multiple names being used for what appear to be very similar elements. Boxes, containers, cells, sections and stacks all seem to overlap in purpose, yet behave differently. Finding the right tool often feels like trial and error rather than a logical design process.
Responsive design has been my biggest frustration. Wix promotes itself as an easy drag-and-drop website builder, but in reality, achieving a professional desktop and mobile experience requires a significant amount of experimentation. Small layout decisions can have unexpected consequences, and many useful features are hidden away rather than being obvious. I only discovered some of the most helpful mobile tools by accident after hours of frustration.
The result is a platform that is simultaneously powerful and restrictive. There are plenty of options, but not always the level of control you would expect. At times it feels as though you're fighting the platform rather than building a website.
Despite all of that, the end results can be very good. My website is coming together well and looks professional. The frustration isn't that Wix lacks functionality – it's that the journey to get there feels far more difficult than it needs to be.
If you're happy working within templates and making moderate changes, you'll probably have a good experience. If you're someone who cares deeply about layout, branding, consistency and responsive design, be prepared for a steep learning curve and a fair amount of frustration.
Overall, Wix is capable of producing excellent websites, but the editing experience falls well short of the quality of the websites it can create.
I am deeply disappointed with my…
Your ticket #1338433849 that produced no result, no support, lack of positive response today and left me stranded.
I am deeply disappointed with my experience with Wix customer support with James and I wonder what he told Daniel who sent me an email with no sense or help.
When visible there are excellent workers, exceptional and courteous Judith from Mexico. An outstanding lady. Today I met the total opposite, unhelpful and dismissive, all he wanted to do is send paperwork. For you Judith. You are exceptional except the Wix company has people like James and Daniel terribly unhelpful. Called and refused to engaged on the phone clearly and put it down to some challenges with the phone
After spending weeks building my website and investing financially in the platform, I reached out because I genuinely needed human guidance navigating the new Harmony editor and organizing important policy and client information correctly. Instead of receiving meaningful support, I was repeatedly redirected to articles and scripted responses that did not address my actual concerns.
One representative, Judith from Mexico, was exceptional — patient, knowledgeable, compassionate, and proactive. She reminded me what good customer support should feel like. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience has been the opposite.
I specifically requested a callback because I was overwhelmed and needed direct guidance. James called but the interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful. Then I was informed by email that “policy cases” are only handled through email for documentation purposes. While I understand security policies, the complete unwillingness to provide real-time support when a customer is clearly struggling feels impersonal and frustrating.
What disappointed me most is that Wix seems to underestimate the importance of supportive human interaction. Not every customer needs another help article or generic response. Some people simply need a knowledgeable person willing to walk through the issue with them for a few minutes.
As someone building a professional healthcare-related website, accuracy matters. I was not asking for shortcuts — I was asking for guidance and clarity. Instead, I was left feeling stressed, dismissed, and unsupported after weeks of effort.
Wix has a strong platform, but customer experience should not depend entirely on whether you happen to encounter the rare representative who genuinely cares. Compassionate and proactive support should be the standard, not the exception.
Wix put on ‘hire a professional” they gave one price and as soon they get access to my website, their price triple. Where is the integrity in that.
All I ask for a simple website to care for my patients so they can access care in a timely manner and James deny me of that… why? How many minutes will it take to get a guidance up for patients to see policies and guidance on accessing physicians and consultation?
For you, Judith, you have my 5 star but you see there are many who perform much lesser than you.

Wix harmony is a plague on this earth
Wix harmony is a plague on this earth. The confines of the editor are exhaustingly terrible in this mode, and there is NO WAY of getting back to the original editor. Worse, they don't tell us existing users about this before we get in an start editing. Getting in touch with customer service has all the frills of assembling furniture without the instructions, but worse, they try to sell you things THE ENTIRE TIME. Your product management & marketing team has zero focus on the customer experience. Just the worst... Do better.
