Absolutely fantastic yachting holiday In a great location Croatia

Seven of us sailed as a group last May/June to the Greek Islands. Our experience was awesome. We had a great skipper, Rodrigo, and a great host and chef, Joe. Everyone felt very comfortable with them...it was like home. Could not have asked for anything better. The catamaran was clean and comfortable.

We loved it so much that the seven of us are sailing again in the summer of 2020 with the southern Croatian island route. Can't wait.
Wish we could get the same crew.

This is a great way of visiting several places in Greece, it's highly organised and the staff members are great. Our Captain Rodrigo was very knowledgable and professional. Boat was very up-kept by staff the meals were great and the group we stayed with was very nice.
I enjoyed all the stops in the several islands, they all had great swimming and snorkelling places. I do recommend this trip as it's very relaxing.

We sailed for a week with Buffy & Jack from Dubrovnik to Split in mid August 2019 as a couple of 2, within minutes the 8 guests who never knew each other before were well acquainted and relaxed, (USA, Austalia & us 2 Scots) the trip was absolutely amazing, one of the most relaxing breaks we have ever had, the cabins were well appointed with plenty of storage for large cases, a good shower, toilet and also air con, the choice of islands were great ranging from beautiful small secluded bays with wonderful seafood restaurants only accessible by boat to bustling marinas with plentiful choice of restaurants and bars, Buffy and Jack were amazing hosts, very professional yet informal and made everyone feel relaxed and welcome from minute 1, Totally amazing hosts! I have nothing negative to say what so ever about this trip, great value for money and a first class experience, well done yacht getaways.

We were 4 South African couples aboard Fulmar yacht. Our skipper (Martin) and hostess (Milly) was absolutely fabulous. Martin's knowledge of the area was excellent, kept us informed the whole route. Had some rough seas for two days, but he was a "pro" navigating through this. Milly's food was exceptional. Both of them carried us on their hands the whole trip. This was on our bucket list, but it was above our expectations. The yacht was well equipped, and to our surprise not so cramped as we expected.

It has been our first ever sailing holiday. We can honestly say it is the best holiday we have ever had.
Our skipper Bea and host Helen really went above and beyond our expectations. They truly are a credit to your company and make such a great team.
We received fantastic recommendations of places to eat and also visit during our sail, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
Our skipper had so much knowledge and experience, It really stood out to us at how fantastic and professional she is at her job.
Our host made our day, every day with the quality of breakfasts and lunch, again exceeded our expectations especially as she is limited on what she can cook due to small kitchen space and also while sailing in such hot climates.
We will defiantly do another Yacht getaway in the near future, and we would love to have the same crew.
We would 100% recommend this to our friends and family.

EDIT IN REPLY TO YACHT GETAWAYS: Thanks for your generic response, quite clearly you’ve not taken any of our concerns on board and will continue to do what you do.... Your concept is great but your delivery is poor. I can see that you have a successful route in Croatia currently due to a strong crew, perhaps try and invest this in your other routes. In response to you trying to ascertain what week we went I think that was pretty obvious given I clearly mentioned we were on board with 3 American couples who had booked together!

Five stars to our Skipper for the week Barney, he was fantastic and worked his socks off! We managed to get in lots of sailing under sail rather than motoring and were allowed to get involved as much as we wanted which was brilliant. We went to some lovely spots (one of which he gave us all a tour on the tender around the caves) and his communication was very good.

Three stars for the food on board (maybe a four on 1 occasion) - having previously sailed with YG the food this time just didn't meet the standard we had previously and was at time lacking in quantity and quality, the hostess really seemed to struggle and hygiene was an issue (between the 4 couples on board we all ended up cleaning and washing up during our trip as she disappeared off after cooking).

Four stars for the Catamaran - the outside space was really good and the galley was much better than our last trip, huge fridge which was great. The cabins were tight and again didn't look anything like the ones advertised on the YG website.

And now a big MINUS - we booked the explorer route having enjoyed the trip with YG previously to Croatia where we met 3 other couples all of whom didn’t know each other however this time we were put on our boat with absolutely NO warning with 3 couples who had been friends for 30 years plus - this just wasn’t fair and goes against the idea of the holiday, we felt really quite excluded..

I submitted my survey on return airing the issues with the Hostessing and lack of warning about the exclusivity of the friendship group on the Catamaran but sadly have had no feedback. If we could be guaranteed improvements on the above issues we would possibly return for another trip.

We sailed from Dubrovnik to Split with Yacht Getaways 6July to 13 July 2019.
Our hosts were Nino (skipper) and Alice (chef extraordinaire)!
We were two families with 3 children each, ranging from 12 to 16.
We booked the Prestige yacht which had plenty of room for all 10 of us. The accomodation was good and the beds comfortable. Alice's cooking was superb. We got lucky with Alice as she is a professional chef!! The highlight of course was the fabulous spots we were taken to each day. Nino and Alice really thought about mixing things up to give the kids a bit of variety. Being on a Catamaran was amazing and we sailed when the opportunity arose and it was the most fabulous experience. Would do it again in a heart beat.

We have just returned from a week in Croatia (July) on a superior catamaran called Bowrolling, which we booked with 6 friends.
Our host and skipper were Buffy and Jack who were quite simply superb!
If you like holidays that involve island hopping, swimming, paddle boarding, snorkelling, eating freshly BBQ'd meat and fish in small local restaurants and beautifully prepared breakfasts and lunches on board, evening meals/water taxi's booked for you in advance by our organised crew. Hairdryers were allowed when using on shore electricity or when the engines were running, there was a lot more storage space than I imagined, but hard cases wouldnt be advised. A wardrobe with approx 10 coathangers and a drawer under the bed, a bathroom cabinet behind the mirror to store sun creams/make up etc. If you want to switch off for a week then book!!!

Had a great holiday in June with Yacht Getaways. Our skipper Bea was so very knowledgeable and experienced. Our hostess Helen created lovely meals and they both worked flawlessly to establish an effortless and enjoyable trip. Enjoyed so much am going again on a another route next month.

We joined the 45ft catamaran Bowroling in Trogir (Split) in June 2019. Our Skipper was Jack and our Hostess was Buffy (also a qualified skipper). We joined three other couples on the yacht – each couple with their own cabin and en-suite toilet/shower.

In quick summary – we started as strangers from 4 different countries and ended as friends. The crew were fantastic from the first introduction to tearful goodbyes after eight days. Jack and Buffy really succeeded in making everyone feel at home and have a great time. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we had really great days sailing between the islands and supper at recommended eating spots. Buffy turned out great breakfasts and lunch was always delicious with a bottle or two of wine.

This was our first yachting cruise in Croatia and we were naturally a little apprehensive as to who our companions for the trip would be. Well the mix was great and I think all were comfortable even though the outside age range was from 27 to 63. Day time cruising with stops at lunch spots for swimming became the norm. We had some office work to do and so the central area was a temporary office occasionally – with full 4G signal most of the time. This was a dream office…………

FAQs we have been asked – Our cabin was great and we slept very well every night – not too cold or hot. The showers were small, but adequate. The food was great. We always knew what was happening and where we were going and what we could expect. This meant that we could top up with some extra wine or snacks the day before if there was no shop on the next island etc. The restaurants on all the islands were good and most had reasonable prices. Prices increased slightly as we headed towards our destination of Dubrovnik. Most waiters could speak English, Italian, German and Croatian. The service and attitude was friendly and great in most restaurants and shops.

Medical facilities - We also had to find a doctor for a prescription and were impressed on the island of Korčula to visit their hospital and see the very latest medical equipment. It took 7 minutes for the results of a blood test – compared to a typical 48 hours in Cape Town - and the Doctor and nurse were incredibly professional. The taxi that took us there, waited the 40 mins that we were inside (for walk-in check-up, blood test, treatment, discharge) – and he didn’t charge us for waiting. Unheard of where we come from in Cape Town.

Before we left the yacht we had already decided that we were booking our next trip with Yacht Getaways – provided we can get onto Jack and Buffy’s yacht. I don’t like saying there were no negatives, because this is hardly ever true, but in this case I have to score the crew and complete yacht experience at 110%. We will be back to cruise with them again.

We travelled with Yacht Getaways last week from Split to Dubrovnik.
The Yacht we stayed on was clean upon arrival and kept that way throughout our trip. We visited so many beautiful places and got to try out some sailing as well as paddle boarding. Both a first for my partner and I.
Our host Elizabeth was an amazing cook creating so many wonderful breakfasts and lunches. And our Skipper Mayon was professional and knowledgeable.
Both Mayon and Elizabeth were great fun throughout our trip whilst ensuring we had everything we needed and providing us with restaurant suggestions and the best places to see.
We definitely would not hesitate to book with Yacht Getaways again in the future!

Great experience. Excellent crew (Matt and Emma). Terrific daily meals on-board, fantastic scenery and options for the evening meals most nights. The final dinner atop a cliff was a standout.

Tom our skipper and his accompanying host was nothing shy of professional and informative.
They took us to and recommended beautiful relaxing dining spots, walks and beaches and made this part of our honeymoon memorable and special.
Food and drinks are worth the price paid and once our baby is old enough this cruise is on our list to do again.
