While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Would give this a 0 if I could

Would give this a 0 if I could. Rented a house from Chris Cleghorn for 12 years, repairs never done. Now currently have 8 weeks to find a new property as he defaulted on mortgage and house went to auction, lost our £650 bond. Would avoid this man like the plauge

Yieldwise rented a house to my grandson…

Yieldwise rented a house to my grandson in October 2023 and I've constantly asked for repairs to this 'newly refurbished' property and been fobbed off time and again. There is no water coming out of the shower, the automatic bath plug is broken (so no bathing facilities), the kitchen units are built over where the plumbing is for the washer so can't plumb one in, several radiators not working and doors that either don't have working handles or don't close.
We sat in for 2 days waiting for contractors to do an electrical inspection and no-one turned up, all this for £600 a month !!!! Disgusting
I believe they may now be run by a management company and I hope they are more professional.

Chris Cleghorn was the founder of…

Chris Cleghorn was the founder of Yieldwise and has now put it into his son’s names and a couple of workers.Lets just hope he hasn’t taught his sons the same way that he does business. Do not invest with Cleghorn under any circumstances. Pm me for more info.
Both of his sons have now resigned from the business, liquidating??
I have an ongoing court case with Chris Cleghorn and not the busines.

Beware!

Bought 3 houses in Co Durham through Yieldwise in 2023. They claim to specialise in creating income streams in lower value properties in the NE of England to create a passive income stream of around 10-13% return. They charge a sourcing fee, refurbish the property and then place the Universal Credit/DWP tenant and manage the property. However, they currently owe me over £8k in rent which they have kept to themselves and continue to fob me off with dates when I'll receive payments. I'm now progressing this through the legal route but it appears there are several other victims. Please be warned.
