Disappointed with Customer Service and Defective Product
I purchased a pair of shin guards from this company, and unfortunately, they arrived defective — the stitching was clearly off. I only tried them once at home, and as soon as I noticed the defect, I immediately contacted customer service to request a resolution.
Initially, I was offered a refund in an earlier email, but now, they are refusing to honor that and are only offering a replacement, despite the fact that the product is clearly faulty.
I’ve made it clear that I haven’t used the product beyond that initial check, and under EU consumer law, I am entitled to a full refund for defective goods, regardless of minimal usage. I have referenced these laws, but the company still refuses to process a refund.
I am extremely disappointed with both the defective product and the lack of proper customer service. I will not accept a replacement and will be pursuing legal action if this issue isn’t resolved promptly.
Avoid this company if you value your rights as a consumer.

Never got gloves
I bought a pair of gloves that I never received. I reached out to yokkao, and in the beginning they were very receptive, and told me they were figuring it out with the delivery services. Then they stopped getting back to me, and now somehow their email is invalid when I try to reach out to them. I have tried contacting yokkao throughout their website and no one is getting back to me. Horrible customer service, I have spent over $100 on those gloves that I got no feedback of any kind on. Horrible company that doesn’t care about it’s customers.
Yokkao is not a good company
This all started back in February with my first order from them. I ordered a simple kicking pad and some focus mitts for my kids. I waited for several weeks then they contacted me and told me the color combination I ordered has been discontinued. So I changed it out for the tiffany color which was a pre-order item so I figured i would get a vest and some freestyle kicking pads to match. 4 months go by before I finally get my first order (pads & mitts) The second half of the order has still not showed up. I've been in contact with them for weeks now they marked my order as fulfilled and shipped on the 9th of September six months after purchase. It's now the 24th of September customer service reached out to me, and said its still in production and will ship out mid October. We'll see how it goes but at this point its going to be 7 months before I get my order according to yokkao. If you're reading this PLEASE use a different company like combat corner. I wish I had read trustpilot before I purchased from them. I will never buy nothing from them ever again.

An absolute nightmare
An absolute nightmare. The product was listed without specific measurements, so I ordered size L, which turned out to be far too small. After returning it, I was scammed — I never received anything back. I strongly advise against shopping with this company.
I really wanted to love Yokkao
I really wanted to love Yokkao, but my recent experience with their customer service has been incredibly frustrating.
I ordered shin guards and followed the size guide exactly, but the guards that arrived were way too big. The product page didn’t list actual measurements, so I had no way of knowing the fit would be off. I followed the height guide, but my shins are shorter than average for my height — making the guards far too large.
When I tried to return them, I had to go through 11 emails just to get basic return instructions. I was asked to send multiple sets of photos — including duplicates of ones I’d already sent — as if my previous messages weren’t even read. It felt like I was being made to prove myself instead of being helped.
In the end, they stuck firmly to their “no refunds on discounted items” rule and only offered store credit, despite the issue being tied to missing product information. Throughout the exchanges I had to repeatedly ask for return instructions, while continuing to be polite, cooperative, and even praising the quality of the gear. I wanted to give them my money, and they made it incredibly difficult to do so.
Now I've spent $130 on shin guards and $35 for shipping them back. I don't have a single piece of Yokkao that I can comfortably wear, yet I've spent $165. After all this, I assume I'll receive store credit as promised, but at this point, I don't want to represent their brand.
Since I'm getting store credit (given they keep their word), I asked for free shipping for my next order, which they promptly denied. Unfortunately, I am not made of money, and the $35 to return my guards + shipping costs of whatever I order with my store credit is incredibly irksome.
I will warn everyone in my gym, everyone I encounter at fights/events, and any newbie who is looking for gear to spend their money elsewhere. It won't be hard- I'll just tell the truth.
To be fair, the gear itself is well-made, and the hassle of dealing with their returns has convinced me not to order again. There are other Muay Thai brands (like Muay Thai Addict) that make exchanges simple and actually put the customer first.
Yokkao has sick gear, but a sickening process for customers. Save your time, money, and self-respect by shopping elsewhere.
Received bundle in full
I wrote a previous review pretty unhappy with customer service. They rectified my experience by splitting my bundle to get my equipment to me faster. I appreciated this very much saving me from having to use loaner equipment any further. I will say the build quality is unrivaled. I am very happy with the fit of the shin pads and gloves. You can tell they are hand made by the stitching. That makes a difference having a larger diameter thread. Padding is thick but not heavy. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and will probably by more from them knowing that they are so well mad. I will make sure not to need them quickly and plan ahead to accommodate my expectations of arrival. Thank you for making things right Yokkao.

I revised this review from one to two stars. I bought a pair of gloves and wanted to return them. They refused the return. I pointed out that UK consumer law is that any online order (nearly everything) can be returned, simply for a change of mind. They said that their returns policy only allows exchanges.
Talking to the consumer helpline, I could have taken them to a small claims court, but the time this would have taken would not be worth it. So I eventually agreed to an exchange.
Overall, they have been responsive to the returns request (hence two stars). But, they still violate basic consumer rights for on line orders.

My experience with this store has been deeply unsatisfactory, and I believe it is necessary to warn other consumers. First of all, the company does not have a return policy that complies with European Union regulations, which constitutes a serious violation of consumer rights.
Secondly, they take no responsibility if the item is not delivered to the customer, refusing to refund the corresponding amount even when the product has not been received.
Likewise, the store ignores the legal right of contract withdrawal, as established by Spanish and European legislation, preventing the customer from cancelling the purchase and receiving the corresponding refund through the original payment method.
To make matters worse, the customer service is ineffective and clearly focused on protecting the company’s interests, offering no real solutions and showing no empathy towards the affected customer.
In short, I do not recommend this store under any circumstances. My advice is to avoid making any purchases here to avoid unnecessary risks with your money and your consumer rights.

Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish. My partner told me this was a good brand and he had ordered some bits from there before. so I ordered some shorts. They were the wrong size so needed to exchange. I paid to send them back to which they said they had received it and would exchange. Later then said they couldn’t exchange due to some rubbish and when I asked why said they then said they hadn’t recieved😂😂 after saying they received them! I showed the evidence which was a literal picture of it being delivered from evri and they denied it. It had literal stacks of boxing gloves parcels. Never heard from them so they have my money and the shorts 🤣 absolute disgrace and poor customer service will never use or recommend this brand to anyone I train with ever.
Dishonest company
Dishonest company. "Sometimes, with intricate designs, these small imperfections can appear, but they're intentional elements of the artwork. It's not a pen mark, but rather a print detail that's consistent across the batch."
If you buy a t shirt from Yokkao don't expect it to look like the website image. What look like pen marks on bold white writing are "actually a part of the print design".

You only have 1 star reviews this year. Your quality standards are low. If you have an issue printing some t shirt designs, that is your issue to manage, and you should not pass this issue on to your customers. No one wants to return your defective items at their own expense. Your refund policy is simply terrible.

Scam company, avoid like the plague
I ordered shorts and hand wrap.
Shorts were wrong size so I requested to return them and exchange for a different size which they agreed to.
I paid for the Royal Mail shipping and they responded saying:
'After carefully reviewing the details, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accept the return at this time.
Our decision is based on the reported issue (odor smell), which is not covered under our return policy.'
I literally took them out of their bag for 10 seconds and saw the size was wrong on the label. Never wore them so it is not possible for them to have an odour smell!!!
I explained this and my reply was ignored, I have requested my bank try and claim the money back.
Never ordering from this company again, wish I had checked these reviews first.

Do yourselves a favor and don't order from Yok Kao!!!
I ordered in December 2024 and received the first part of my order almost 6 weeks later at the end of January!
When I unpacked the order I realized that a part of my order was missing. Annoyed I now had to contact customer service. The communication was more than poor but at least the rest of the order was sent.
After two months I received the rest of the order but in the wrong size. Now I had to start an exchange. Again I had to contact customer service and again the communication was poor. The biggest cheek was that the right size I needed was supposedly not available, but I didn't get my money back. I now have a voucher for the store which I don't need because I will never order there again.
Shame on you, you are by far the worst martial arts store I have ever seen!!!

Look for any reason to deny a return
Got a pair of shinguards for christmas, their AI sizing assistant sucks so surprise they didn’t fit—took them out for a total of 45 seconds to try on twice and when I returned them the rep claimed they couldn’t accept it because there were several dog hairs on the shin guards and other signs of ‘visible use’ (they refused to elaborate on), tried very politely to insist I hadn’t used them, as I have others and don’t need to kick something to know it’s too big.
Eventually they came back and guilt tripped me saying how would another customer feel if they got my ‘used’ pair???
Meanwhile I’m out the 130 bucks plus another 30 for shipping and they won’t even issue a partial credit
