Please reply, if you have been wronged by YUMM
Hello,
Please do not join this agency. Very bad staff and unresponsive when needed. They never got enough good jobs and most of the jobs are fake.
I paid a £1000 deposit after taking a look at the deposit. I have followed all the rules and they promised to give the deposit back in a year. It's already been 2 months since the contract ended, and the staff has been unresponsive. It doesn't seem they have the intention to give the deposit back.
Hence I am willing to file a case on YUMM in the small court. I need some help with this. I wanna show the court that this is happening to everyone, who joined the agency. Please reply to this review and I will forward you the form that can be filled out anonymously.

They are scammers and won’t give the money back. I have contacted them so many times. They are not even replying back. Its been more than a year. Don’t trust them at all
Do not trust these dirty scammers!!!!
Do not trust these scammers!!!!! I joined this agency in 2020 and paid £1000 after paying they completely ghosted me ive tried contacting them several times and got no response until i decided to email them and inform them that i will be bringing this to court they denied my money back and refuse to answer my phone calls i called last Friday (6/10/2023) a male employee answered the phone and was completely disrespectful towards me and yet again denied me my money back these people are absolute disgusting liars and scammers who are now apparently calling themselves eclipse AVOID THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND LIE!!!!!!!
Do not trust them
Did everything that was required in the contract yet they still not complying with the refund, still waiting and I had to take things further, to the small claims court.
Do not joint this agency
I am astounded to how this has got such a high rating. This is a scam, rather clever one but none the less a scam however you want to wrap it. It takes advantage of children and sells the fairytale. It takes you on with the expectation that if you receive no work after a year you can get your money back. Not true. When you go for your initial appointment they falsely sell you a dream and push and push you to take a higher, more expensive board. It is a con. They get your money. The company do not have a formal complaints procedure, this is what they have told me when I asked to see a copy of their complaints procedure. I was unable to book my daughter on jobs for over 2 months. They refused to answer my emails and eventually when they did - they said their MD is off on long term sick so be patient or take them to court. Which i will do if this not resolved. Their customer service is poor, unless they are trying to sell you something. I admit I was a fool for being drawn in to their false sale and allowing my daughter to believe. You hear about things like this all the time. They have definately covered themselves - This is misleading selling at its best. I feel very stupid for allowing myself and my child to be sucked in. I hate that there are people in this world who take advantage of vulnerable people and feel no way aboit doing so.
scam
scam. seemed really eager to get me on board. so i paid and thought i could just work my way out of a contract. however had 1 meeting with a booker and haven’t heard back. a year goes by where this refund was optional within the contract and called and got through. got told that it would be put back into my account. so waited till the end of the month. called back. they apologised and said end of the week. tuesday goes by. nothing. call again. they said friday… still to payment. so continued contacting via emai and phone. 4 months go by and he straight up i’m not getting it and hung up.
No work and refund is 10 weeks overdue!
My 1 year “contract” was up on 10th July 2023. I fulfilled ALL of the requirements to have my significant deposit refunded. I applied for over 50 jobs in my year with YUMM, well in excess of the 3 applications per month required. I did not receive even a single response. All I received was YUMM’s auto acknowledgment email, although some months that didn’t work. My catwalk trainer left in Dec 2023 when the company went into meltdown due to 2 young model bookers employed by YUMM trying to publicly open the lid on what they saw was a scam. My deposit refund was promised to be paid within 30 days of the 10th July 2023. That didn’t happen because the company director is seriously ill “they” told me but it would be paid within 6 weeks. I’m now almost at 10 weeks since 10 July and still no sign of my £1000.
SCAM!
SCAM!! A year ago I went into YUMM, photos were taken (not great) training was offered along with the world basically! After a year of no jobs which I blame no one for I am now at the stage where the initial deposit should be refunded, I have emails confirming this would be done, two months on no deposit and no contact, trying to phone them and I receive a rude and quite aggressive response, the person even hung up the phone due to the fact I was pressing as to why I haven’t received any communication or my refund. Customer service is absolutely poor this side of the experience I have never had anyone hang up the phone on me for asking fair question. 8 months on as it stands I still have not received my refund I have now had to get debt collectors involved who have confirmed this company already has numerous CCJs against them, this is something they do very often they scam young people to make them believe they can find them work but they cannot and the deposit you pay will not be returned to you! Please do not trust them!

In July 2022 they took £1000 deposit when I signed a contract with them.
They said it was refundable after one year and they are refusing to refund it!
A good modelling agency or agency of any kind should not ask for any money when you join them.
They couldn't even get me one small job despite their claims and promises.
Any agency asking for money for any reason should be prosecuted by law and shut down!
They use the "refundable deposit" excuse to get money out of people!
I have read a few other reviews on here by others who were also ripped of by them.

YUMM refuse to return your deposit
Very disappointed with YUMM, after following all instruction and completing all contractual obligations, they assured me my security deposit would be returned. They have now begun refusing to disclose the date that the refund will be delivered, despite it already being over 28 days since I requested it. They have used a litany of reasons that in no way explain why they can’t deliver the money and have been ignoring emails from me while continuing to send emails from their company account (which is why I know they’re ignoring). Very disappointing considering I followed all instructions in my contract and they have no legal basis for withholding this money.
If I could post less than 1 I would
If I could post less than 1 I would! My cousin took out a contract with YUMM for her nephew and despite abiding by the contract and being assured she’s deserving of a refund for the terrible service they are saying they can’t give her a date of when the money will be sent back to her! It’s a joke and this company definitely needs to be investigated for fraud. Please take this as a warning and never use this disgraceful lying company.
My cousins nephew received NO job offers, no help
DO NOT TRUST THEM
Scam - Protect yourself
Never spoken about this but I feel it needs to be heard to protect others. I used YUMM a few years ago. Took £600 with a promise of training to prepare me for the industry. Bullied into signing a contract and never got contacted. I was told to keep up with my side of the contract and keep applying to jobs. I said I didn't feel comfortable applying to jobs without any training. I missed two months of signing up to jobs and never heard anything. They contacted me once with a job offer, in a different county with less than 12 hours notice and was rather rude on the phone. I requested my money back after that and received a terrible email. They never held up their end of the contract but bully young people into thinking their in the wrong.
Scammers
Scammers, thieves, low life, liars, cheats…..do not part with any money. They will say it’s a deposit (returnable after a year) and you will never get it back unless you go to court. A personal visit with some friends maybe in order to get the money back face to face🤔
Absolute scam!
Absolute scam!! DO NOT TOUCH! £1000 taken.. do not get you work, do not reply to emails, when asked to provide you with a copy of your contract as they mention inaccurate dates they say it will take 28 days to get a copy to you... 3 months later and numerous emails still nothing!!
A Pack of Scavenging Low Down Thieves
These People are a pack of Scavengers and Thieves, they Manifest as a Legitimate company but they! just like Michy Studios operate using the same; Filthy, Disgusting, Con Tactics, promising Young Hopefuls the best in; Modelling, Acting, and getting a foot in the Industry but it's a Don King Con Scam, both of these Devil companies, remember no real agency would charge before they have given work, a real agent would get you work and then take their! Fees and any jobs after that? They would take their normal cut;
16, 18, 20, 21%
So people remember, if you ever come across any company who introduces this method? Just tell them "to stick it"
Do not part with any money for any so called company who operates in this manner, stay safe and as Scammer Payback would articulate:"Don't get Scammed."

YUMM tried to steal a £600 deposit from me and I reported them to the British Fashion Model Agents Association.
They advised me to get in touch with the Operations and Prosecutions Manager at the Employment Agency Standards.
Contact Steve Keeler and Dave Worboys. I can’t leave their contact details here because it’s filtered as sensitive information. But make sure to Google their names and titles, and the info will come up.
I got in touch with them and they helped me out. I managed to get my money back.
Some people have also complained to their local Trading Standards offices. You can look into this in the citizens anduve bureau website.
Hope this helps!!
This agency is A BIG SCAM
This agency is A BIG SCAM! As soon as you sign up with them and hand over your money they get you to write a good review. That way the good reviews will out do the HONEST bad reviews. Once you pay your refundable deposit, you will no longer hear from them and they will avoid you by all cost. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS OR HAND OVER ANY MONEY TO THIS FAKE AGENCY!!!
Sadly this agency is untrustworthy
Sadly this agency is untrustworthy. They will recommend models who are underage for the shoot assignment. Even when queried I was told that the model would do it. When another age-correct model was booked, she was told of a different hourly rate to the one brief and therefore traveled to the shoot location under false reimbursement promises. The shoot did not go ahead and the agency, whilst acknowledging the situation and promising a refund of costs, has done nothing and now ignores emails. A debt collector solicitor has been instructed to recoup my losses. Shame - they tell you what you need to hear and then do not deliver and keep fees. Avoid like the plague. There are many good agencies - do your research and do not get sucked in. The reviews on their website are monitored by YUMM admin before posted, therefore will only be positive ones.
