Website easy to use good value insurance Very pleased with service would recommend
It was very quick and cheap to do
Served it's purpose .
Easy to purchase, clear website, t&cs transparent and an excellent price.
Simple to complete and, compared to most insurers, really good value for money. All relevant documents forwarded to download and l liked the option to reduce excess to nil for a small additional payment.
Zoomcover was a great company to deal with. Loads cheaper than some of the others, easy to set up cover. Will use again A++++++++++++++++
Cheapest 1 day insurance I could find
Definitely use them again
Best temp insurance going very fair priced and fast
Useless Company!
Tried to charge me over £140 a month for a basic Fiat 500 1 litre!
That is 10x what I pay for my normal annual policy for another much more powerful sports car!
They also only offer 28 days cover (not up to 3 months which is what most Salesmen need).
These 'short term' insurance companies are actually not fit for purpose! They use the 'short term' service as an excuse to charge you exorbitant prices that they would never get away with if it was an annual policy!
There is no justification for charging like this and they are just robbing scumbags!
Stay away!
Cheapest day insurance company out there.
Easy website to access got a 1 day insurance cover in under 15 mins, would definitely recommend.
Outstanding service and great prices. Also very easy to use.
Incredibly slow in sorting out my claim. It took 8 weeks for the claim to be accepted. They emailed me several times requesting info that I'd already sent through. Eventually the claim was accepted. Wont bother going with Zoom again, it was a painful experience.
Zoomcover was priced very competitevly. I have used them twice recently. Easy to arrange on-line so I could get the one day cover I needed as I don't use my van much to warrant paying for a years insurance. It's a pity more companies don't offer more flexible insurance policies.
Please beware when using this site to get temporary cover if you are considering purchasing a car, and want cover to take a test drive. I found Zoomcover online as it promised to provide short term car insurance, specifically for borrowing cars, taking test drives, etc, The website looked good, and the questions asked in order to provide insurance seemed fairly straightforward and simple, plus pricing looked good as there was little difference between 1 day and (eg.) 1 weeks insurance, so I opted to take a week's worth of cover to test drive and perhaps purchase, The cover states (in subtle terms that are hard to follow - and it took a lot of looking back to find this) that if you take out this insurance, there must be a parrellel insurance policy that is in force that covers the vehicle for the ENTIRE duration of the policy, so if you test drive, agree to buy, leave for a few days to collect and set up your insurance, and the person selling then cancels their policy in the meantime, then you are screwed. OK. I understand this is an insurance minefield that companies like Zoomcover love and will DEFINITELY take advantage of. So when this happened to me, Zoomcover canceled the ENTIRE policy, including the day I took the car out for a test drive, plus they took the ENTIRE amount claiming they were entitled to this as it was part of their T&Cs, and sent letter 1 week later stating they had done this because, in their words, 'I had deliberately mislead them because I had checked a box on their form'. I was insulted by this, as this was definitely NOT deliberate... really? What are they like? So I'm probably going to have my insurance premiums doubled because I'm on a database somewhere, because of an unavoidable 'mistake' ..Thank you Zoomcover... Please don't use Zoomcover! The simplicity of their site completely masks their intention which is to take advantage of any naivety that exist with us, the driver, who is simply trying their best to do the right thing. After your comment about providing link to AskMID.. That is EXACTLY the process I followed. Valid insurance WAS reported as being in place, so you cancelled the whole insurance policy days later, when the original owner of the vehicle had obviously cancelled their insurance, and you implied you were providing cover. Irony is I never took advantage of 7 days I purchased.. I drover the car for 20 minutes... Point is, insurance Is a MINEFIELD. Mistake I made was to take advantage of your cheap offers covering days I did not really require, and your response was to send me a letter saying I had DELIBERATELY mislead you, and cancelled the WHOLE policy, stating I would get nothing back. That is unbelievable. Very disappointed.......
Further update..
I am now awaiting response from ombudsman regarding the way zoomcover is happy to take your money and lead you to believe you are 'insured', but equally happy to take the very first opportunity to cancel your insurance, placing the value of your integrity, which ALL insurance providers use to assess the cost of your next insurance policy, at risk, possibly so they can avoid paying for any claim that may arise. I Repeat BEWARE! Zoomcover is not designed to insure you (think bad times, you have an accident), it is designed because you have a legal obligation to have insurance, and that can only be for profit.
