Very reliable company

This was our first time ordering from zZounds. We ordered the MPC Live 2 on November 19th and we received it on November 27th. We are so excited for our new machine & the fast shipment. Will definitely order again from this company.

No record of them charging me

I purchased Guitar on Backorder. after a month and half of waiting with no update I canceled. Upon asking when I will get a refund for my partial payment they said they had no record of it and I was never charged , I have a bank statement saying otherwise. (which I will dispute).

Don't deal with these thieves!

Fender American pro 2 guitar

I am not much on writing reviews but zzounds has never given me a reason to write a bad review and I have made numerous purchases thru zzounds always fast delivery never a damaged instrument. I just purchased the fender American pro 2 and I was truly amazed at the playability right out of the box Maybe some string intonation but otherwise. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I am satisfied with all my zzounds purchases

Purchased a guitar as a gift with a delivery date of 2 days. Nowhere does it state when you are looking at the item that the delivery is just an estimate. I read further in their FAQ where it shows 95% get delivered on time. I am part of the 5% and doubt these numbers are accurate. When I tried to get helpo I was offered $25 and basically sorry nothing I can do. Do yourself a favor and buy locally or at least AMAZON has better custmer service.

Shipping information is somewhat…

Shipping information is somewhat misleading and ended up with me wasting $61 w/ one of the items coming 2 days later than the expectation set by the site. Ordered on a Thursday and Sat delivery was quoted at around $80ish for the entire order, but had to pay for one separately, since the majority was being purchased on the installment option. Shipping cost went down to $61, so I figured the last item (Fender amp) would be $20-$30, which I'd have been fine with, but for the amp alone it quoted me an even higher shipping price of ~$85, and there's no way I was paying that for what was supposedly a 2 day savings. I wanted to have at least part of the weekend to enjoy the purchase, but the "free shipping" option was listed as Monday delivery. at this point I'd already regretfully paid the $61 for most of the items, but now I'd have to wait a couple of days for the final item. When I ended up looking up the tracking on the amp, instead of Monday (as expected) it shows an anticipated delivery for Wednesday. Two customer service inquiries (1st the morning following the placement of the orders, which was done after hours to try and have the items shipped together, for which I'd be willing to pay the different in the expedited shipping cost (provided it was reasonable), and the 2nd to address the shipping expectations not being met) resulted in me effectively being told "Too bad. Them's the breaks." with no attempt to resolve or do anything to help improve the experience. I feel like I wasted money needlessly, and for the slight savings in price, otherwise, I think I'm better off finding a different retailer for any future purchases, seeing as how I expect better service from a retailer. I've rarely had such intense and immediate buyer's remorse. It's a shame, because I was really excited about the purchase, but now I'll almost certainly chose a different retailer for any further purchases.

Ordered through them in august, its sept 11, still no shipment, called to ask why and "customer service" said i should not expect things to be shipped when they say they will, that i am stupid for even considering that..fedex has lost my shipment, i had to literally be on the phone with 2 companies at the same time just to get things done, and i am still not sure if i got my refund..never again.. zzounds does not give a s#!t about its customers..they basically blamed me for ordering from them...and thats the only thing we agreed on, i was stupid for placing an order with them

shady business

I placed an order online by mistake..accidentally ordered the wrong size. i IMMEDIATELY requested a refund..they emailed be back the next morning and said it was too late..the order had been shipped (thats a lie because the payment wasnt even authorized on my paypal and i had no tracking number...all of that came later that afternoon)...they also requested i made no special delivery instructions with fedex (im not allowed to cancel the delivery on the app) DO NOT ORDER FROM ZZSOUNDS I PROMISE YOU WILL BE HAPPIER ELSEWHERE

Worst Experience From zZounds - To Be Safe Buy Your Equipment From Sweetwater that is what you call a Real Professional Company

Spoke with Luis at zZounds Customer Service, I ordered a Technica 120x Turntable when I received it the parts were floating in the box. Some of the parts were missing. After waiting just under two week, after speaking with Louis I was told that I would have to wait 2-3 weeks for a response back from the manufacturer about the missing parts. Louis told me I can return the record player that I had but I would have to wait 2 weeks for a replacement and the record players would not come in until the 23rd and today is the 8th. Or he could send me a return label and when they receive the record player, it would take 7 to 10 business days for me to receive my money back. This is unacceptable, why order from a company that does not take care of their customers. I'm stuck with a record player now that's unusable at this point. I have to purchase a new cartridge in order for the record player to work. I think I will avoid this company from this point on. And I will let my colleagues and everyone else I know about my experience with zZounds. After going through this process, there was no solution to resolve this.

cancelled my order without telling me at all, then customer service was VERY rude about it.

I ordered something three days ago. I never got any information about it, when I called today they said they cancelled my order! I asked why, and if I could get another 1-day shipment. He told me the person had mistyped my email. (They also got my name wrong on the order, "Nason" is not a common name, "Mason" is).

He said there's nothing they can do, and told me I should have read the FAQ page.

When I asked why my order was cancelled, he made sarcastic remarks, that he "understood some people don't like reading" and once again said I should have read the FAQ page. He also said he has no idea why my order wasn't verified because it's "internal to the system".

I asked if he could explain why, and he said the page was rather long so that I should just sit down and read it. I asked where the FAQ page was and he told me to look it up, FAQ and ZZounds.

So, they cancelled my order without telling me and then blamed ME for not reading a page I didn't know about since I assumed the order was completed. I told him I didn't understand why they couldn't tell me why my order was cancelled, and he said "For the THIRD time, the information you've been HOUNDING me about is all on this page".

So after my order was cancelled for no reason, they did not tell me about it, the customer service rep was very obnoxious about it, blamed me for the mistake, made sarcastic remarks, and offered no solutions. I have placed another order and if my experience isn't good I will never order from ZZounds again.

HORRIBLE Service

Hi,
Zzounds was my preferred market for buying all Pro Gear. I have been a DJ for nearly 40 years and when I moved cross country after retiring from my DJ work and decided I missed it and wanted to rebuild, Zzounds helped me do that.

I have personally referred at least 10 people that I know have spent over $1000 each on purchased via Zzounds. After the last 2 years that will never happen again. I have not made any purchases since Sept of 2018 when I bought my last LD systems Maui 28 speaker system. In the first 60 days and about 10 events, the zipper on the bag that holds the column broke and when I called Zzounds to ask for help or support I was met with indifference and no concern at all. I was respectfully told to pound sand. Great customer service.

Since then I have spent about $4,000 on other sites, including IDJnow.com, ProAudioStar.com and Guitar Center. I was just looking to get a new Chauvet Dj Gigbar Move. I thought, why not try Zzounds again, so I went on and across the top of my screen was this:

I wasted about 30 minutes (after over an hour of shopping) trying to figure out why.. I called in to speak to someone and after 35 to 40 minutes (almost all on hold) of struggling to get help and re-creating the entire cart in a new browser, I was getting frustrated and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold again and in about 5 more minutes I was disconnected. (Agent was Giovanni)
I called back and spent about 10 minutes explaining issue to a new agent ( I believe Nathan) who put me on hold to wait on a supervisor and then hung up on me.
I called back and got Giovanni again, who once again put me on hold for a supervisor and hung up on me.
I got on your site to chat and was told only certain people get that offer and they thought it was discontinued due to Covid-19. Strange. Why offer it as a banner at top of my screen if it is not valid at all or specifically for me.
Oh, will nothing in your cart qualifies.. Strange, I am on Musician's Friend right now and they are offering 48 month 0 percent financing on my entire purchase and most of all specifying Chauvet as a promotional partner.

This is how you lose customers for life.. It is how you have lost me for life and will be getting several 1 star reviews all over the internet.
I seriously doubt anyone there cares, but you have lost a long running client and you will never get another referral from me. Fix your phone system and learn proper customer service.

MISLEADING!!

MISLEADING!!! Their website is very strategic in leaving out that they do, in fact, do a hard credit inquiry. I completed my order with no issue and was immediately lead to a survey link about service, etc. I got my order confirmation, check. Out of curiosity, and because the agreement mentioned to contact them I did. Seemed to have checked out, I was told my order was good to go! About an hour later I got an email saying to contact for assistance with my order ASAP. I called and confirmed a few questions. Then a few minutes later got another email that my order was cancelled and I was declined?! NOWHERE does the website outright mention a CREDIT CHECK! They do mention having to provide your SSN to confirm your identity. Just when I thought it was too good to be true it was. Cool concept for sure, but very trash and misleading in execution. I'll continue shopping elsewhere for now. Customer service seemed oblivious and/or downright shady. Wouldn't recommend, and will not be going back. They also don’t provide an option to delete your account, so do what you will with that information. Waste of time!

I've had several accounts which I have…

I've had several accounts which I have successfully paid in full. This last account during the epidemic had a few issues where by I had to get an extension due to my personal business slowing for a period. No Problem..So I called and got an extension. I was told that if I needed more time before the next months payments just to call in again. The next month I called and inquired about the getting another extension due to covid-19 and was once again told that there's no problem, but instead I decided that I just didn't want to jeopardize my account for any other future purchases. I wanted to always be in good credit standing.. I was transferred to another person in accounts and while asking questions this person got really angry and and barked WAIT A MINUTE AT ME as if I was told be silent by the Angry KING....this guy had no regard for ME as a person or a customer and better yet a paying customer ..not a potential customer. I said WOW you must be really angry today -- and maybe if you hate people so much you might want to change your job--- and that I wasn't the cause of his anger nor should it be directed at me.- This guy hangs up on me...so I call back and thought to tell the next guy about my experience hoping he might be able to escalate to a higher department or manger who over sees his staff and monitors their behavior in relation to their customers. I used the word Cu&T like Bill Maher uses usually pretty funny ..... Not to the next guy he was equally angry and just wanted me to know how much they hate their customers. The next thing you know they blocked my phone number from calling and making a payment, which was the original reason that I called. At first I didn't know that I had been removed I thought something happened to their phone system - I called from another number and they blocked this number too.. So here we have a company that has employees who abuse the public and lie about their customers to offset their egregious behavior in order to not only to abuse, berate and obfuscate this way they are able to have plausible deniability for their behavior and what better than to truncate communications with this party. Avoid!

One of their customers has given them the wrong email address (mine) and now I receive all his communication.
I've told them over and over again that they are emailing the wrong person, I'm not even in the same country as their customer or their company, and they refuse to stop emailing me! I don't just mean they won't stop, I mean they actually replied to my request telling me they won't stop!
I'm not even a customer and I still need to review them as having the worse customer service ever!!!!!!

Outstanding music online retailer!

I just wrote a rather scathing review of a pathetic company. NOW, I'm going to write a review of a business that is tops in my mind. I started dealing with Zzounds around the middle of 2017. In the almost three years they have enabled me to obtain music gear I would have only dreamed of years ago. They have the best and easiest financing in the business! They ship and deliver within two days- AT NO COST! NOTE: On some cheaper items, the two day might cost a couple of dollars. AND, during the Holiday season they note shipping delays are possible. If you order during business hours- IT GOES OUT THAT DAY. Order on Monday, your enjoying the device on Wednesday! Their prices are competitive with any other online company- PERIOD! AND, should you need advice or have a problem they are easy to reach and extremely helpful. And, you are kept up to date on your order. You get immediate e-mail updates on the orders, shipment etc. Just top notch. I haven't done a tally lately, but in the almost 3 years I have purchased over $10,500.00 worth of musical equipment- AND none of it was faulty. I have sent back "zero" items! No, they don't carry "everything" but then nobody does. But, they do carry a lot! And they post reviews on equipment + or -! I have nothing bad to say about their operation, it is first rate, professional and has done very well by me. Nothing but praise!
