Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unhelpful, difficult to reach a real person, and often encountering staff who were perceived as rude or provided inconsistent information. Customers frequently reported issues with being overcharged, unexpected fees, and problems with payment processing, often stemming from unclear sales practices. Reviewers also experienced significant frustration with the service itself, citing unreliable connections, dropped calls, and slow internet speeds. Many felt that the company's representatives did not always follow through on commitments, and that resolving issues required an excessive amount of time and effort.

Inept & Unethical Company

We used them for years before discovering that they were charging us the same amount for By The Gig as their own Unlimited Plan. On top of that, they were penalizing us whenever we went over. Easy fix, right? I'll update to Unlimited. In doing so, they shut our phones off and removed the phone numbers that my wife and I had for over 20 years. Now they've made something easy impossible. Nothing is easy with Xfinity Mobile. I have never worked with a more inept company that cares less about their customers. They ended up adding an additional phone line on our account without our permission AND even though my wife's phone now showed as unlimited, mine did not. I worked with them in person and in their chat to help them do their job. It ended up never getting fixed. They stole money and time from my family. This company only exists because they have a monopoly in most areas regarding internet and TV. They had to rebrand from Comcast to Xfinity, because their service is so bad. They will have to do that again. No one should ever use their Mobile service. You have choices. They are unethical and hate their customers. I'm fairly certain that the higher ups at this company are just collecting checks and aren't attempting to improve anything. They should all be ashamed.

Worst Customer Service

If there was a way to give a lower rating, I would certainly give xfinity mobile a negative score. They do not follow through with promises. They give you their supposed English name but you can never talk to the same representative. #1: do not fall for a “free phone” deal.

Worst customer service of any company…

Worst customer service of any company I've ever done business with.
They have screwed up my bills for years and to get the bill right it may take you 3 hours of talking to five different people (exactly what happened to me) many of whom dont speak english well enough to understand half their words. Even then, it may not get fixed. go to the store. dont call customer service.

terrible customer service

What a a terrible company! What a terrible customer service! I got 0 help from agent!
They are billing me for something i no longer have! I bought a new phone cheap crappy one the cheapest motorolla!
The manager of the store told me its a crappy phone really! But you could try it, you could return it and get a refund!
I returned the phone over 2 months now!
Still being billed for it, still being billed for the number line i bought, although i left xfinity 2 months ago!
I took the number with me to ATT!
The girl on the phone said I have to keep paying for the phone until its over. I told her but i dont have the phone, i returned it right away. Because it wouldn't work! She said i know you returned it 2 months ago but you still need to pay for it!
I told her, no! The manager of the store told me I could send it back to you and it will be removed from your profile and you will be refunded for whatever I paid!
And this girl called Gab from the customer service by phone, wouldnt help! Wouldnt let me reach higher department and she wouldnt refund me, she said the phone is still in the wear-house but they didnt finish working on it! I then Told her that the other agent on the phone said i will be refunded within 10 business days!
She said no you wont be refunded you gotta pay for it!
Why on earth would I pay for something i dont have and returned already!
What a horrible company! I am so happy i am back with AT&T.
I asked that girl when will the wearhouse check the phone and update that I returned it, she said soon! I told her its been 2 months already, am I looking for another 2 months? 6 months?

I have been billed for the line and I am not using their service! I literally left xfinity 2 months ago! So I should pay ATT and not xfinity!
If I could rate xfinuty -10 stars I would!

Even if that was old bill! I should not be paying for the phone that I returned! And she is forcing me to pay for the phone!

I'm a long-time xfinity customer

I'm a long-time xfinity customer. I found an error in my bill and contacted customer service via chat. Long story short, the only way to correct their error was to sign up for a new promo contract. It was an awesome deal. I electronically signed everything and prepaid all fees at once. My bill never updated online. I called customer service and even though I saved the entire chat that had what I agreed to she refused to honor it. She said the guy was not allowed to make that deal. I asked to speak to her supervisor and waited for 20 minutes. She came back on and said they were busy and forced me to accept a 1 hour callback. That was about 33 hours ago and I'm still waiting. Now my bill is higher and I'm stuck. Part of the promo was their mobile service. It is horrible. I have had it about 3 days, and it has dropped 17 calls. Also, the overseas customer service rep said she didn't care that I said she was committing fraud. DO NOT by into their promo deals and DO NOT get their mobile service.

I wish I had read the reviews before I joined xfinity. I have been trying to get a refund for my trade in phone for almost four months now. The customer service is a joke and I am told over and over that it will be resolved in 1- 3 business days. I will continue to fight for my refund. But a soon as I am able, I will be going to another provider.

Getting the insurance is a scam

Getting the insurance is a scam. They told my son it would take 2 to 6 weeks to get a replacement so he bought a new phone through xfinity having it on payments they convinced him that he had to get the insurance again. So now he's paying for 2 phones. Then he lost his phone and again tried to file a claim. They just wanted 180.00 for the new phone. This was a 330 phone new in which he had already paid 231.15 in payments and 230 on insurance. I looked it up and you can get this same phone on Amazon unlocked for 125. I don't know who the bigger scammer is xfinity or assurance. But I am looking for a new plan and will never be scammed by getting insurance again. A 300 dollar phone for the low price of 643 dollars wow what a deal.

Xfinity vs Verizon Coverage, misleads customers

I was a long time Verizon customer who switched to Xfinity a few years ago. I was told that one of the positive aspects of Xfinity is that they use Verizon towers and have the same coverage.

During international travel, I have never had an issue with Verizon global coverage. And I didn't until recently with Xfinity. Although the Maldives are included on the Verizon global network, it isn't included on the Xfinity network. Before I understood what was happening, Xfinity billed me $1000 within a few hours. I finally figured out what was happening, and switched to wifi.

I did some research afterwards, and found out that Verizon includes 40+ more countries on their global pass than Xfinity. So they really do not have similar coverage at all.

I believe that I was misled by Xfinity and will be switching back to Verizon. A $1000 bill in less than 4 hours is ridiculous. It should have been obvious that my usage was not my norm, and that there was confusion on my part. I am retired, and a $1000 mobile bill is a hardship.

Beware of pricing deception (lies) with Xfinity Mobile

I took the step of switching from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile due to an Xfinity mobile rep telling me the price of my phone contract would be $30 per month for two ywaes for two phone, plus a $20 price cut on internet services. I spoke tomultople reps and chatted with others to be certain that what I was being offered was the actual deal. Needless to say, they lied. All of them lied, or they were completely misinformed. The cost of my mobile service was DOUBLE what they told me it would be. They did reduce the price of internet service by $20 a month, but they did not follow through with the promised discount on mobile service.

I called 'customer service' and the reps were condescending and clueless. I spoke to numerous reps to the point where one disconnected me. I finally spoke to a rep who at least seemed capable of holding a conversation who told me that the promises given to me were lies. There is no way that ANYONE could get both the internet discount and the mibile phone special pricing.

I began to spit fire, after I was told that even if I had the chat session of the rep telling me I was eligible and would receive both discounts, I would still not receive those discounts.

I told the rep that Xfinity/Comxast needs to train their agents to not lie, and promise things they cannot deliver. I now that these agents are paid poorly and that they rely on commission to stay afloat, but that is no reaosn for them to deceive people and then for Comcast to ignore the promoses their employees make to customers.

The entire experience left a bad taste and I will nevertrust Xfinity Mobile and Comcast again. When a ega company (which should be dismantled with anit trust) is allowed to deceive (or lie) to customers without any recourse, there is a problem that needs to be addressed. I will write the FCC and others to explain Comcast deseption and how they do not care if their employees lie.

Bottom line is beware of any offer, and if a rep tells you a price or bonus, do not believe them. Amazingly, I was told that if the email they sent me did not include the promotion, then the promotion did not exist. So it is obvious that agents are deceiving customers and Comcast is letting them do so.

Xfinity mobile is both unethical and guilty of fasely representing themselves to the public.

Buyer beware of Xfinity mobile and Comcast. I experienced a very troubling situaiton that wouldn't have occurred if the agents were not allowed to lie, or were properly trained.

Does anyone know how to help?!

I ordered my son a new Motorola Moto G Sylus 5g in August. We didn't have the new phone for two weeks before it stopped charging altogether. I contacted customer support and they sent me a shipping label to send the faulty phone back. Once I did that they sent me a new phone but still charged me full price for the faulty one. I've been trying since September to get a new shipping label to send the faulty phone back and get a refund but no one can seem to help me because "the shipping label was already issued and used". I've been a customer of Xfinity Comcast for nearly 15 years and I've NEVER had these types of problems. I'm a single mother (widowed) and every cent counts in this household so not having that money for the last 3 months has hurt us. I'm extremely disappointed in Xfinity.

“I have Xfinity internet at home…

“I have Xfinity internet at home through my community while renting an apartment. I needed to call technical support, but it unexpectedly directed me to Xfinity Mobile.

Here’s the story: I spoke with them, not realizing it was Xfinity Mobile customer service, and they offered me details about Xfinity Mobile. Considering the cost savings, I decided to switch. I made it clear that I didn’t want the offered cellphone because I already have an iPhone. However, they sent it anyway, even though I didn’t order it.

Upon calling customer service to explain that I didn’t need the cellphone, they acknowledged it and asked me to return it. Despite canceling the service, they continued charging my credit card monthly, which they had on file from when I initially signed up.

Dealing with Xfinity Mobile has been frustrating and time-consuming. Their customer service is subpar, and I’m upset and disappointed with the situation.”

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would.
I was offered a free iPhone se "no charge mam" you already have unlimited service. I just realized for the last 18 months they have been taking money off the card I used in the store for data. The charges range from $35 to $76. I called back in October when I finally realized the extra charges. After 2 days and 10 customer service representatives they finally realized the line was set up on a separate account joined the accounts and told me I would only be billed 1 payment. In regards to the 18 payments someone will get back to me. 30 days later another $76 charged to my card. 2 hours on the phone with representatives that can hardly speak English and nothing.
If you're interested in Xfinity think again.
The store associates at the Tamarac store lied to me about the promotion for commission. I believe the duplicate account was set up on purpose
Back to AT&T

Hands down the BIGGEST scam!

I have been dealing with xfinity for MONTHS. I moved in April and I cut my service off with them not even two months in and of course that meant nothing to them because to this day today 11.27.2023 I AM STILL BEING CHARGED FOR MOBILE SERVICE THAT I NI LONGER HAVE. They lost my phone number that I’ve had for years, how?? I have no clue but apparently neither do they. This company is the biggest scam out there and I will be contacting my lawyer. It’s all fun and games until it’s your money, I had to make a separate bank account because even after I withdrew my whole bank account and card y’all are somehow still charging me???? That’s called FRAUD! Y’all are the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working with! Now I’m getting notifications that “my bill” is being sent to collections???? I don’t have a single damn service with xfinity mobile but here we are. DO NOT GET XFINITY!

Customer service is a joke!

Customer service and their account management is atrocious!!!! Seemed like a good deal when I was a single lady needing both mobile service and home internet. However, one I moved in with my now husband, the troubles with Xfinity began. I canceled my home internet as I moved in with my husband and he already had Xfinity home internet. I tried to link my mobile account to his so that I would still have the reduced mobile account rate, but while they managed to link our names together, I never got the reduced rate. When I switched to Verizon, Xfinity continued to take automatic payments from my bank account for 14 months even though I have no service through them. When I try to call to rectify this, they either promise to pay back the amount they took from me, but then never do and continue charging me, or they tell me they can’t do anything with the account unless my husband is on the line. I’ll be calling next time with my husband on the line, and hopefully this will be settled, but this has now been at lease 3+ hours of my life and over a $1100 of my money. Don’t bother with Xfinity. Their customer service is a joke. It’s more of a headache than is worth the initial saving cost.

Why can't I talk to to someone in the US, so we can understand each other?
I thought I was getting a reduction on my triple play account, and ended up getting a 2nd mobile phone I didn't want or need. Never got the $50 reduction per month on triple play, and after I returned the unopened phone, they wouldn't refund all the charges. $40 I just handed over for nothing because I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THESE PEOPLE!! I will only deal with the xfinity store from now on where I can talk to an American who speaks English.
