Our room had cobwebs, shower was leaking. There were ear plugs from a previous guest between the bed. The bed cushions were stained. Like the could have been washed. The carpets looked like they need to be deep cleaned.. the receptionist, didn't want to be there. He was so unwelcoming.
Stayed at the blue square for four nights. Overall great hotel and service at the reception. However, our room didn’t have a window that could be opened, and the AC never blew in fresh air which made the stay quiet claustrophobic.
The cleaning staff also only ‘cleaned’ by giving some new towels. No toiletpaper or additional tissues for the bathroom. No changing of the sheets or anything.
Breakfast was fine, though the scrambled eggs was an unpleasant experience I didn’t see coming. Perhaps you add sugar instead of salt?
Placement is great and it’s easy to access the city within 15-20 minutes.
For the price it was fine, but a few adjustments would have made it perfect.
Lovely hotel, the room was clean and tidy, our only issue was other visitors slamming their room doors closed at 1 and 2 in the morning but other than that we enjoyed our stay at the Artemis.

I booked a quad room for myself, husband & 2 teens. Lovely comfortable, clean & spacious room. We had breakfast included & it was fab, lots of choice. Once we got the hang of the tram system, it was easy to navigate our way in/out to the city. Very convenient having the tram right outside. Our luggage was stored both before checking in & after we checked out. We would stay here again if coming back. The staff are all very helpful & friendly also.

The check-in is never possible to be eralier .
And they don't provide water in the rooms.
Very cheap really . How do I know that the water tap is clean .
You can say whatever you want about your tap water , but Noone prefer tap water than bottle water . So you have no right to decide . Better put water with costs nothing in the rooms and let the client chooses from where to drink.
And other thing. How do you want the customer to drink from the tap ? The cups you put in the rooms are disgusting . So it's not comfortable or hygienic to drink from your water tap.

Easy access to the big parking, friendly staff, nice room. The distance to the nearest public transport is only a 10 minute walk.

The hotel was great and so were the staff, very helpful and friendly. Despite the hotel being on a busy road you don’t hear any outside noise.
The room was spacious and had a small fridge which was great for milk, sandwiches and drinks. The bed was very comfortable and we all slept very well. Plenty of plugs for charging, and also a British plug which I’ve not seen before.
Molenwerf tram stop is right outside the hotel. Line 19 runs from here and you can be in the Leidseplein within 20 minutes. In the other direction the tram runs to Sloterdijk Station where you can get a train to Amsterdam Centraal. The Metro also runs from Sloterdijk.
I would throughly recommend this hotel for friendliness, cleanliness and transport links and we look forward to staying with you again on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Very good location -- far enough from the city center to keep the prices lower, but quite close by metro (12 min to Weesperplein). The only down side is that there are no supermarkets, or even food shops around. Also, there was much rubbish on the pavement right next to the hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and quiet. All standard facilities, incl. small fridge, plus coffee machine (with capsules).
Altogether, an excellent value for the money I paid.

We liked our room and the location, for our interests, museums & easy access to public transportation. But the noise in the courtyard from the daycare, kinder school? was too much during the day. The children played directly by our first floor window and it was loud! On the second night of our stay there was also adults playing some type of game out there until 11pm and it definitely kept us awake. We had absolutely no interaction with staff, except for them to tell us they had no ice and asking me for our keys at check-out. They have a machine that checks you in and activated your room keys. Our room refrigerator did not work, but we did enjoy the safe in the room.

The hotel surroundings leave abit to be desired but the bonus is you have all everything you need around you. Dominos within 5 minutes walk. KFC 2 minutes. Late night smashed burger bar just behind the hotel within the shopping complex with supermarkets ect. Roughly a 50 minute walk into Amsterdam central. If you don't mind a walk or public transport.and don't mind not having great views. Then this hotel ticks the boxes! I would stay again.

The room we stayed in was at the very top of the hotel. The sink did not drain, the cups for water were visibly dirty (brown sludge on the bottom), the carpet was wet and the room smelled very musty.
I left an expensive pair of sandals at the hotel (my bad) and drove back the next day to get them. The front desk staff was so rude when I asked where they would have gone, including telling me that they might be in a cupboard because “there’s a lot of cupboards in the hotel”. When I asked him to check the room where we stayed he refused. I had to walk away without the shoes which was disappointing but the service was so rude.

From start to when we left it was fantastic the staff went above and beyond to help us we had a Eurostar cancellation and was due to leave the hotel but the young woman behind the desk helped book another night so many thanks to her we got to stay the food was delicious the rooms were clean if I come back to Amsterdam I would stay here

My experience was terrible; I had an allergic reaction, probably due to dust mites in the room. I couldn't sleep and had to spend the night on the street.
The service was not good, and the staff wasn't friendly.
I don't recommend it.
