A very pleasant XO Hotels experience
A very pleasant experience. The hotel room (3 people) was adequately spaced and the room and bathroom were very clean. The only exception being the sheet on the duvet which had a stain and which wasn’t replaced the first time I asked. The staff are very friendly and will help finding your way around the town. I would have appreciated being able to have a good coffee at breakfast, but that seems generally to be an issue in Amsterdam: I wasn’t able to grab a decent coffee in the whole city. The breakfast buffet was ok, but becomes repetitive after 4 days. I would recommend this hotel due to all the positive aspects I mentioned and its location next to the number 2 tram station. Less one star because of the negative points mentioned. I would choose this hotel again, if I were to visit Amsterdam again.

Everything was ok with the stay
Everything was ok with the stay. The room was spacious, well equipped. It was cleaned daily. I was happy with the hotel in general. There was just one issue that i didn't understand. When someone next room opened or closed their rooms,our bed was shaking. Was it one room that was separated by a wall and made two rooms?
And one last thing is that there could be water bottles in the fridge.
But i would definetely recommend this hotel.

Excellent 2 day stay
Excellent 2 day stay. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location has both tram & metro close. Can store your luggage, if you arrive early.
The staff is really the stars. So helpful and friendly. Will recommend and stay on future visits.

This was a hotel a bit away from the city center so you had a more calm atmosphere and nights were quiet. For a family a very suitable place, but for small children might not have enough stuff to do. There’s a tram stop right next to the hotel and you’ll be in city center in less than 20 minutes. Nearest train station is a 15 min walk away or one tram stop.
The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, beds good, everyone slept well. Shower temperature seemed to have two settings- very hot and warm, would have loved a cold shower after a hot day outside but we survived!
Breakfast buffet was okay, the usual things. Coffee machine was super slow and lines formed by it easily. Juice wasn’t really juice but mostly water but the cherry drink was a hit with the kids.
Overall- everything worked as promised. One extra star for the staff!

Not 4 star hotel quality.
Checked in and allocated room. Arrived in room and immediately disappointed. Room dated and not clean. Mattress toppers on bed clearly visible sheet does not even cover these. Bath was dirty, mirrors dirty, dust and crumbs visible throughout room.
Decided to go back to reception and look for different room. Staff changed room - but made a bit of an issue out of it.
Went to second room. Beds better, but room still dated and in need of a deep clean. Evident cleaners are doing bare minimum on room change over. Glass door into bathroom not clean, shower doors barely cleaned black tiles in bathroom with soap/product splashes from previous guests not wiped down. Sink blocked and very slow to drain, old questionable hair in slink from previous guests.Faded woodwork and carpets spillages evident splashed up on walls. And to top it off opened the wardrobe to find a used towel thrown in the bottom from previous guests.
Didnt bother complaiming a second time as was made to feel like an inconvienience the first time and was evident that it appeared to be the same in all rooms.
Hotel located in a business park a bit off the beaten track.
Large grassy area opposite front door with bin beside it, while partner was smoking one morning witness rat in this area.

the location was great
the location was great! close to the trainstation and the tram stop! not to far from the city centre but still far enough out that there was little to no disturbances during the night. the room was spacious, the bathroom was modern and clean, the coffee machine was clean too (not used to that). very friendly staff, open to help you with whatever problem you might have! next time i visit amsterdam i will absolutely stay here again!

Very easy checkin checkout process
Very easy checkin checkout process. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms cleaned, beds changed and towels changed every day. Coffee machine in the room was a great touch. The only downside is that the shower leaked water a little under the glass, because of the peice of plastic over the plug hole, so removed it and was fine.

Disaster dirty hotel
The hotel was not clean at all that on checking-in, we found lipstick on the cups in the room
The room cleaning service was as funny as we found the room after cleaning almost the same before cleaning
We asked the frontdesk receptionist for a room with view but she asked to wait for next day and we did but surprisingly we had a room without a view as well
The reception area has no free facilities and you have to pay for everything
Breakfast was overall ok but the cheese were not as fresh as it should be and on my 5 days stay no single item was changed.
Hotel location is too far away from the center that it took me 19 stops to the center by tram which consumed alot of time.

Easy to get around
We only stayed here for a day as we needed a place to crash following an all-nighter, so I can't really talk about the facilities. I can talk about the very friendly staff, and the hotel being right next to a great Italian restaurant, and being very close to the bus stop (from where you can go straight to Amsterdam Central.

Pleasant stay
The hotel is new and rooms are comfortable. I had several reservations in the hotel. They have tea and coffee in the rooms. The bathrooms are very large and showers are great.
At one occasion of my stay, I found the bed linen dirty and they changed it after informing reception.
The downsides of then hotel are;
1. A little bit remote location. No groceries nearby.
2. The only option to travel city center is Metro (no trams or busses nearby)
3. They never make check in before 15:00. It is really weird and i paid on one occasion for early check in because i needed a shower.
This is the only hotel that I have seen such a strict check in time policy. Why they can not check in at a reasonable time?
4. They should remove the orange color pillows and the runner put on the beds. I hate them in any hotel because they are not hygienic touching the pillow and bed linen. I think many people put them on the floor in the rooms when they first enter the room.

Terrible experience – avoid if you need rest or travel with an EV
I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but this experience completely ruined my stay.
When I checked in, I specifically asked the receptionist whether I could charge my electric vehicle using a regular power outlet. I was told that if there was an available outlet, I was allowed to use it. Based on that information, I connected my car using the original Mercedes-Benz charger supplied with the vehicle.
At around 4:00 a.m., another employee decided to unplug my charger without contacting me first. This immediately caused an error in my brand-new Mercedes, triggering an alert on my phone and forcing me to wake up and go outside in the middle of the night to check whether something had happened to my newly purchased car.
To put this into perspective, I had been awake for more than 36 hours. I booked this hotel specifically to get a proper night’s sleep before continuing my journey. I also paid €25 for parking because I wanted my newly purchased vehicle to be safe and untouched. Instead, a hotel employee took it upon himself to interfere with a guest’s private property in the middle of the night, completely ruining the only reason I had booked this hotel: to rest and to keep my car safe.
The explanation later given by both the employee and the manager was that it was a “safety concern.” This makes no sense. I was using the original Mercedes-Benz portable charger, designed by the manufacturer for use with standard household outlets, drawing only about 1.7 kW, which is perfectly suitable for a regular electrical socket.
Even if there had been a misunderstanding or a change in hotel policy, the appropriate course of action would have been to wait until the morning, contact me, or at the very least call my room before touching my property. Unplugging a guest’s vehicle at 4:00 a.m. without permission is completely unacceptable.
At the very least, the hotel should refund both the room and the parking fee. They failed to provide the two things I paid for: a good night’s rest and a safe place for my car.
I cannot recommend this hotel based on how this situation was handled.

Unfortunately, your response demonstrates exactly what I explained several times to your management team, and what still appears not to have been understood.
The issue is **not** whether regular sockets are allowed for EV charging. Repeating that explanation over and over does not address my complaint.
When I checked in, I specifically asked your employee whether I could use a **regular socket** to charge my vehicle. If hotel policy prohibited this, or if there were designated EV chargers available instead, that was the moment to tell me. According to your own response, your employee knew charging facilities existed at the hotel and simply failed to communicate that information correctly.
The consequence of that mistake was paid entirely by me, the customer.
Because of your staff's incorrect information, I was woken up at 4:00 a.m., forced to go outside to check my brand-new car after receiving an error notification, and lost the night's rest I had specifically booked the hotel to enjoy after being awake for more than 36 hours. I had also paid for parking expecting my vehicle to remain safe and untouched throughout the night.
Even if your staff believed I had made a mistake, there were many reasonable alternatives: calling my room, waiting until the morning, or speaking with me before touching my property. Instead, the hotel chose the option that caused the greatest inconvenience to its guest.
What is most disappointing is not only what happened that night, but also the way the hotel has handled this complaint. Rather than acknowledging that your employee gave incorrect or incomplete information, you simply continue repeating the same explanation about charging policies, almost as if reading from a script, without showing any understanding, empathy or accountability for the impact your mistake had on a paying guest.
That is why I stand by my original review.

After reviewing the matter internally with the colleague involved, we can confirm that you asked whether it was possible to charge your vehicle at the hotel. Our colleague informed you that there are designated charging facilities available at the property. He recalls explaining that he knew charging points were available on the upper parking level and that, if charging was possible elsewhere, you could use the designated facilities provided for that purpose. At the time, he had momentarily forgotten that there are now also charging points available on the lower parking level.
What our colleague did not do was authorize charging a vehicle through a standard power outlet. The hotel does not provide permission for guests to use ordinary electrical sockets as vehicle charging points, regardless of the type of charger being used.
It is prohibited to use a standard socket due to the risk of fire caused by overheating, overloading of the meter box, and slow, inefficient charging. Regular sockets are not designed for the hours-long peak load required by an electric car.
The designated charging stations are installed specifically for electric vehicles and are the only approved charging facilities on site. Any use of other electrical infrastructure for this purpose raises safety and liability concerns, which is why our staff intervened when the situation was discovered.
We appreciate that having your charging session interrupted was frustrating and that the resulting vehicle notification disturbed your sleep. However, our employee acted out of concern for safety and in accordance with hotel procedures. There was no intention to interfere with your personal property or inconvenience you.
As the room, parking space, and hotel facilities were provided as booked, and because the action was taken for safety reasons, we do not consider a refund of the room or parking charges appropriate in this case.

Absolute Disaster: Terrible Hygiene and Negligent Staff!
I strongly advise against staying at XO Hotels City Centre (Beursstraat 11-19, Amsterdam). Our stay was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.
From the moment we walked into the room, it was filthy:
• Short beard hairs left in the bathroom sink
• Blood stains on the bedsheets
• Dirty pillows with hairs on them
• Uncleaned, smudged windows
• A completely clogged shower drain
We immediately went to reception to complain. Since no other room was available, they promised to send housekeeping right away. When we returned at night, NOTHING had been fixed, except the shower drain was slightly better, but the maintenance person left dirty boot marks all over the floor without cleaning up after themselves!
When I reported this to the night receptionist, he indifferently said he couldn't do anything and claimed he would "inform his colleagues" without even asking for my room number!
Zero hygiene standards, zero customer care, and complete disrespect for guests. Save your money and stay anywhere else!

expect nothing but a bed
The bathroom exhaust fan was mouldy, and the door doesn’t stay open so it gets very moist.
There is a clock outside that chimes constantly until 10pm and the windows don’t seal the noise, light comes through the sides of the curtains as they aren’t against the window. No fridge, holes in the towels and one was dirty. Extra charge to get room early even if it’s available. Good location but otherwise likely would not stay here again

We absolutely loved our stay at XO Park…
We absolutely loved our stay at XO Park West. We had a family room for me, my son, and my parents, and the room was very well appointed with plenty of space and a big window. The aircon and TV worked perfectly and the bathroom was big with clean towels every day. The location was perfect to both get from the airport (10 mins directly from airport plus ten min walk from Sloterdijk station). The tram stop for the 19 tram is right outside the hotel and only 20 mins into the centre. We bought a three day pass for the tram for about 20 Euros each. We walked through the park to Anne Frank’s house one day, which took about an hour. The staff were lovely, the coffee machine in the room made lovely coffee and it was good that there was a small fridge. We stocked up on cold beer from Lidl, 5 mins walk away. The restaurant Casa de Michel is a 5 min walk away and offers loads of variety - and very delicious pizza, pasta and grilled meat and fish and salads. We went there most evenings as so handy and delicious. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel!!!!

The hotel is Good hotel with a few areas for improvement
The hotel is good and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is quite good and offers a nice variety. However, the hotel would be absolutely perfect if they provided room slippers, a laundry bag, and bathroom toiletries.
The location is convenient as it is close to the metro station. There are also plenty of parking spaces available, but you have to pay for them.
On the downside, the reception staff were not very welcoming or helpful. They gave short answers and only shared the absolute minimum information required.

Nice location but AC broke
Lovely location close to the tram stop close to the centre. There was no air-conditioning for 2 out of the 3 nights we were there. Lovely staff.
