The location is a bit far from central station but there is tram arriving near hotel, it is convenience. The facilities all look very new, the room is clean. They early notice me there is strike on 9 Sep so i could manage my travel plan earlier, that is absolutely credit. The room rate is fair of the overall service.
Very bad experience, rude staff, worst service ever, definitely not recommended at all
We had a lovely time at XO Couture. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We arrived early was and was able to use the luggage room. Transport links were great for trams and metro into the centre and airport. The triple room was spacious and bathroom with shower was very clean and also spacious. Overall, we had a fantastic trip. Would recommend.
We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always helpful throughout our visit. The room was clean and comfortable, and the beds were particularly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the hotel to others. We would definitely stay here again.”
One of the worst hotel experiences I have had, mainly because of the reception staff.
We arrived around 12:00, before the 15:00 check-in time. The hotel advertises free luggage storage for early arrivals, and I had also indicated this when booking.
The younger male receptionist, with black hair, a heavier build and black-framed glasses, was cold and unfriendly from the beginning. He told me the luggage room was completely full and told me to take everything back to my car. I did so without arguing.
When I returned, the luggage-room door was open while another family was collecting their bags. I could clearly see inside, and a large part of the room was empty. So I had just been told it was “full” when it clearly was not. I found this extremely disrespectful and unacceptable.
When we returned around 18:00 to check in, the experience became even worse. We were two families travelling with children aged around two and three. The female receptionist, a younger-to-middle-aged woman with black hair and a fuller face, reacted very negatively to the children playing and making some noise. She looked visibly irritated, complained that she could not hear because of them, and remained cold and unfriendly throughout the check-in.
There is a big difference between politely asking parents to keep the noise down and making families with small children feel unwanted.
After these two incidents, I cannot prove what motivated their behaviour, but I was left with a strong feeling that there may have been a racist or discriminatory element to the way we were treated.
Basic hospitality, honesty and respect were completely missing. I would absolutely not stay here again.
I would really recommend this hotel. The location is a little out of the city centre, but has a tram stop outside with great links to the museum quarter and the 9 streets. It's also very accessible from the airport via Slotterdijk Station (short walk or one tram stop). The hotel was very clean, the room was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Nice room, nice bath, nice people. But please tell your housekeeping if someone booked late checkout. They woke me up too early.
We would love to give you a 5-star rating, as the hotel is comfortable, well-connected to the airport and city center by public transport, and features spacious, well-equipped rooms and a fantastic breakfast. However, the worn-out, frayed towels do not live up to the hotel's standard. It’s a shame.
The breakfast was very good, the beds were large, and the bathroom was stylish and spacious. Unfortunately, the room faced the lobby, and the windows could not be opened; air circulation relied solely on the air conditioning system. There was a thick layer of dust on the coat rack and mirror, making it impossible to put down any clothes—housekeeping needs to improve in this regard. There is no wardrobe.
Unfortunately, I have to leave a low rating for this hotel due to a very unpleasant experience.
During our 4-day stay, on the third day, my friend noticed three (or more) small bugs on the bed (one even crawled on her, leaving a small bite). Since I hadn't seen the insects myself yet, I tried not to overthink it at first, assuming they were just tiny flies, so we didn't report it to the staff right away.
However, during our third night, while my head was on the pillow, I suddenly spotted a larger insect right next to me. Looking at it more closely, it was unmistakably a bed bug!
Frightened, I rushed down to the reception and explained what happened to the staff member on duty, a blonde guy. When he came up to the room with me to inspect it, the bugs weren't visible at first, and he tried to make it seem as if I was making the whole thing up.
Then, out of nowhere, another bed bug appeared. He took a photo of it with his phone and nonchalantly said, "Well, it can happen in a hotel”, which is an utterly unacceptable response to a paying guest. When I asked to change rooms, he told me it wasn't possible and offered only to change the bedsheets... as if changing sheets would fix a bed bug issue (bed bugs live inside the mattress and bed frame, so new sheets solve absolutely nothing).
I (and also my partner) ended up staying awake the entire night, as I obviously couldn't sleep in a bed infested with bed bugs! Once we were home, we also had to immediately seal all our clothes in airtight plastic bags and wash everything at high temperatures (over 60°C) or tumble-dry them on high heat for an extended period to kill potential bugs and eggs..
thanks.
The room was good but the housekeeping didn't work properly, upon arrival there was a used razor left in the bathroom, pretty disgusting. The second day the rubbish been was not emptied. We didn't mentioned it but the third day, even though we signed for the room to be cleaned, it was not done. We had to report it but I don't think they took real notice of it!
Some staff was friendly and nice like the guy that assisted us upon our early arrival and the lady that checked us in.
Room was very noisy, I heard bathroom & toilets from upper neighbour. Also, when people stay in the lobby late, it's very noisy. Room 140.
Nevertheless, check-in, check-out was very quick, staff is nice and breakfast was really tasty.
The hotel staff were really helpful on arrival, guiding us through our self check in.
Our room was spacious, modern and clean with fresh linen and towels.
The hotel was in a great location for accessing public transport to Amsterdam Central and to Zanvoort, which were between 30 and 40 minutes on bus/train. We stayed for 4 nights here as we came for the 2026 F1 at Zanvoort.
The hotel breakfast was ok, but we only eat once as for us we didn’t think it was very nice.
The shower did run out of hot water at busy times, such as late in the evening, so we would just shower early in the morning.
Our stay and experience was positive and if we were in the area, we would stay here again

We had a great stay at XO Hotels Couture!
The room was very comfortable, the location was good, and the area around the hotel was nice and quiet. There’s a tram stop right outside, which made getting around very convenient.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to George, who helped us with a few requests during our stay, including changing rooms and sorting out the invoice. We really appreciated his help!

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The services were great and the overall comfort is exceptional. Great value for your money.
It's some distance to the city center, but the connectivity with the public transport is great. Staff is very friendly.
Highly recommend.

The staff was very helpful (especially Anastasia). The single room was clean and comfortable, though not quite large enough for doing morning exercises. No noise from outside; occasional exuberant fellow guests. Best location: museums nearby, grocery store nearby, easy access to trams, VondelPark an easy walk. The morning breakfast buffet was good. Overall a positive experience.

Good location of hotel close to transport links. Bed was comfortable but unfortunately what let the hotel down was the room had a bath and shower but when enquiring why the plug did not work was informed you are not allowed a bath which was annoying as had back pain and would of been good to have a hot bath. The bathroom could have done with an update as bath was rusty and tiles were cracked. Towels are a bit small. Was great to have a fridge though. I think breakfast was too expensive so chose to not have it.
