This is definitely my favourite place to stay in Amsterdam. The hotel is very nice, comfortable and welcoming, wtih a very kindly hlelpful staff.
I also really love the location. It is very close to the metro, so getting around Amsterdam is easy, but at the same time the hotel is in a green, quiet and relaxing area, which I really appreciate after a busy working day. Breakfast is also very good, with a nice selection and everything you need. I have stayed here several times and I am always happy to come back. It remains my first choice whenever I visit Amsterdam.

Bad location in the middle of nowhere, smelly room, overvrowded room so you couldn‘t really move. Breakfaat tables were just be refreshed when breakfast was over so at 10 there still was the stuff from guys who had breakfast 3hours earlier. Never again

Good location, but unfortunately the stay was not worth the high price.
The room was dim and not very clean, with a strong moldy smell. The air conditioning broke down in the middle of the night, and there was also water leakage. Not very luggage-friendly either, especially with big suitcases.
Good location, but overall definitely not worth the money paid.Very disappointed!

Friendly and efficient service. Excellent wifi in rooms and lobby. Clean and spatious rooms with new bathroom furniture. Near bus and tram stops, restaurants, markets. A very good value for money!

The hotel is easily accessible by public transportation and is located in a quiet area. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. The room was well-maintained. Unfortunately, the air conditioning couldn’t be turned off at night. The constant noise is annoying. One of the two elevators was out of order, and it didn’t seem like they were working on it. It’s a shame that the bar isn’t staffed in the evenings. Instead, you can buy drinks and snacks at a self-service counter. Warning: Very expensive! It’s better to shop at the supermarket across the street beforehand.
Breakfast was okay. Unfortunately, there was no fruit salad—just whole fruits that you had to cut up yourself.
The glass door to the bathroom, which doesn’t lock, doesn’t exactly promote privacy.
For the price, I had expected a slightly higher standard.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms/lobby areas. Breakfast had variety and was worth the price. Beds were comfy! Staying again in January.

One thing that could be improved is having a separate kettle in the room rather than relying on the coffee machine for boiling water. Not everyone enjoys the taste of coffee-flavoured water when making tea!
The room we stayed in also had a strange smell, which I believe may have been coming from the toilet drain/pipe. I also noticed some water on the tiles near the urinal, so this may be something worth checking.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

I prepaid $450 for one night for this room. For that price, I expected luxury. The room was basic. My expensive booking didn't even include breakfast. The lobby was not that of a fancy hotel, it didn't even have ramps for your luggage (only steps).
My room was on the ground floor around the corner from the front desk. The child center across the street was very noise. My windows were frosted (for privacy), but it prevented a view of the street.
The room was extremely basic. The bathroom door did not open very much because it hit the bed. The air conditioner would not cool the room adequately. The plug above the bed could not be used because it was behind a pillow. No amenities were provided. There were water stains on the ceiling and marks on the walls. A separate tea kettle was not provided, and only two tea bags were in the room.
I can't possibly understand the high reviews written for this basic hotel or how it has a hotel star rating of more than two.
During this trip, I stayed in luxury hotels that were half the price of this one. This is a budget hotel at best, with a high price of a luxury resort. I wanted a nice room for the final night of my trip, and I ended up with the trashiest one and couldn't wait to leave.

everything very good, except the mid-stay room cleaning. But considering we were the ones making a mess, it's acceptable.

I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Artemis hotel last week, the staff are lovely especially the receptionist great customer service. The breakfast was really nice I’ll give it as 10/10. The room is nice but the floor is a bit dirty and needs deep cleaning.

Very nice hotel (XO Park West) right by a tram stop which goes to Sloterdijk station one way (one stop, or an easy walk) and into the city the other way. The room was big enough for the two of us, beds were comfortable if a little higher than average and the bathroom well fitted out. We didn't try the breakfast. The reception staff when checking in were friendly and professional. There are a few restaurants as well as a Lidl very nearby. I would stay at this XO again and based on my experience would be happy to use another of their hotels in the future.

Tiny room.
We could hear the sound of the toilets flashing from the rooms of the upper floors

Check in and out was super simple, staff were friendly and appreciated that you could easily opt out of having the room cleaned where it wasn’t needed for such a short stay - the room and bathroom was clean and spacious, location was easy to get to via tram or bus, or only an hour walk into the more central part of Amsterdam.
Surprisingly quiet as well which was much needed after long days exploring!

Fantastic hotel very close to excellent transport links. Convenient for airport and city centre.
Couple of minutes walk from supermarket.
Walked into city from here. Area peaceful and quiet.
Room and hotel spotless and the staff spoke English.
Outside of building drab but modern interior. Definitely recommend.

Breakfast is terrific, beds are great. Rooms in general are very quiet. They need better window blinds. They are difficult to operate or are often non-functioning.

As highlights, I would point out their back-office work—since they handled my written requests before I arrived—as well as the check-in process with a very attentive receptionist, the lovely room with comfortable beds, and the value for money. I would also like to highlight the Asian receptionists, who were fantastic in handling my questions.
The worst part of the hotel was the poor maintenance of the facilities; one elevator wasn't working, and the building was generally neglected. I must specifically highlight the deplorable way two staff members treated guests. There was a Black receptionist working the morning shift; while he is very professional, whenever I asked him something, I had to be quick because he would cut the conversation short. I told him the hand soap wasn't working, but when I returned that evening, it hadn't been replaced. He was annoyed by my questions and laughed at me when I asked if there was any alternative to taking a taxi on the day of the transport strike. On the day of checkout, it was 10:00 AM; he pointed out that checkout wasn't until 11:00 AM but then asked if I was checking out right then. He clearly wanted me to leave the hotel. You aren't cut out for reception work, even if you are very good at back-office tasks.Another really unpleasant thing about this receptionist was that when we were leaving, I waved to him, but he lowered his head to avoid acknowledging me. Your behavior as a receptionist was appalling.
However, the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen in a hotel came from the older Dutch waiter during our final breakfast. He works hard, but he is a disaster when it comes to dealing with guests. Yesterday morning, he approached me and rudely told me not to even think about leaving food on my plate or having so many plates on the table, claiming it created too much work for him. Why do you work there, then? Do you realize I am a customer and that you have a job thanks to customers like me? You have no right to disrespect me by rudely telling me not to leave food on the table. The sweet items were terrible, and I simply didn't want to drink the coffee I’d left—end of story. If you are going to criticize a customer, remember that they are the one paying your salary and you owe them respect. You lack the manners and social graces required for a public-facing role.
I am a hotel front office manager, and I could write this review on TripAdvisor, Google, or even social media—or report it to the hotel in my own country—to complain about this horrible experience with these two employees. I won't do that, as I don't want to escalate the matter further, but I am documenting my experience here on your website for the record.
