I purchased a brand-new xTool F1 from a private seller on eBay. The machine broke down in about 1 hour of running time. Since more than a month had passed, I couldn’t claim eBay’s return policy.... See more

I have been a happy and proud owner of xTool products for over two years now. I started my laser adventure with a different laser brand through my daytime job, but ultimately chose xTool over the familiar laser for a number of reasons. Initially that first laser was purchased because of the reputation and community I found for Xtool online. I ordered a xTool D1 pro 20 W machine and started my personal laser journey.
Over the next eight months, I used that machine to launch a small side business and had an enormous amount of fun along the way! In addition to being really happy with the quality of the laser I purchased, I really enjoyed that I could modify and add elements to my machine as my skill set grew.
About eight months after my first purchase, xTool Announced they were bringing the P2, a CO2 powered laser to market. I excitedly purchased that machine too. I have had no regrets with that choice. The increase in power and speed have allowed me to create a number Of products for my small crafting business. Not long after the announcement for the P2, the F1 a portable two and one laser also came to market. I added this machine too, to increase my ability to provide on site customized engraving while at craft shows and events.
Over the past 2 1/2 years I’ve had a handful of opportunities to interact with xTool’s support services as well. I have reached out through both their email support and their Facebook messenger support and have received satisfactory results each time. The first time I needed support was for my D1 pro. I had managed to break one of the limit switches while moving the machine. After a few photos and quick diagnosing over email, Support sent replacement components and they arrived within a week. After about eight months of using my F1, which attended every crafting event I went to in that time, I began having a focusing issue that I couldn’t clear up on my own. Using Facebook messenger, a support specialist was able to give me guidance and eventually helped connect me with one of their engineers to diagnose the problem. After going back-and-forth for a few days, the decision was made to send the unit back and have a replacement sent in its place. Other than the time it took, the entire exchange was low stress and I felt very taken care of.
I think sometimes xTool’s support gets a bad rap due to the time delays that sometimes can be experienced. It’s important to remember that support is based in China and the time differences can be a challenge to navigate in the US. That said, Support has always responded to my requests and has helped to resolve each issue I’ve encountered in a timely manner. In addition, the online communities are a great resource for helping to navigate the nuances and challenges of learning to use lasers. In fact, the online community, including elements, like the project community, now Designfinds, was something that endeared me to actual early on. There are so many people in the community who are willing to lend a hand, share experience and offer advice. It’s a great place to learn and grow!
It has been really amazing to see how xTool has embraced the belief that anyone can be a creator and maker. The continued innovation and drive to bring products to market with the features and capabilities users are asking for, has been great.
This is especially been noted in the development of actual software xTool Creative Space, over the past two years. Initially, I did not use Creative Space, instead opting to use a more developed third-party software because it simply didn’t meet my needs. With the P2, I had to move into XCS to run the machine. I was amazed at how much the platform had grown in that time. Since that time, numerous features and even more functionality has been added to the platform, All while keeping the software completely free to users. At this point, I rarely do work outside of actual xTool’s software. It meets my needs and yields great results.
If you’re looking to add your first laser, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by going With xTool! The quality, support and community are all there.
My first ever laser was the xTool F1. I really spent a lot of time trying to decide which laser to go for and in the end I decided on xTool because of what I'd learned about their reliability and the customer service.
I absolutely love my laser engraver and it hasn't ever had any technical issues. From a software point of view the software (XCS) is really user friendly and it works seamlessly with my laser.
xTool as a company seem to be very forward thinking and are always releasing update. They also continually update the material libraries and AI image generation software which is really intuitive.
I'd highly recommend xTool as a company and if you're considering an xTool F1 I'd say go for it!
I've owned two xTool lasers in the past year and a half, and they have both been catalysts for growth and success for my business. The company is extremely active on social media, frequently interacting with their customers and routinely offering promotions and giveaways. They have a number of facebook groups centered around each of their machines, which have created growing communities for those that use their products to share experiences, support, and knowledge. I have yet to have an issue with either of my lasers that I haven't been able to address either through one of the FB groups or through the customer support team. One of the knocks against xTool that I've seen is in regard to the response time of their tech/customer support due to the company's location in China. This has not been my experience, but my understanding is that they're preparing to open a US-based customer support team, which should address that concern. They're also very responsive to feedback. xTool has their own proprietary software - XCS - to run their machines (vs. most lasers that operate via Lightburn) and they have made significant improvements to the software in a short amount of time. While easy to learn and use, XCS was initially very simple and feature-limited. xTool spent a great deal of time gathering feedback from users and including their customers in testing out new features as they developed newer iterations of the software. XCS now is leaps and bounds ahead of where it was just 18 months ago. I would not hesitate to recommend xTool to anyone looking to get into the laser/craft world, and I'm excited to see what they come out with next.
I have had no issues with Xtool lasers. I am a happy owner of 5 of them. We own the D1, S1, P2,P2s,F1 and F1 Ultra. I they all have been exceptional machines for me. If i have had an issue things have been taken care of.
The xTool F1 was our very first galvo style laser and has been one of the best investments we have ever made. It arrived just a few days after we ordered it and was super easy to set up. We recently had a package that was lost by FedEx but xTool customer support was really great and sent us out another air purifier within a few days. We always recommend xTool to both new and seasoned veterans of laser engraving.
As a hobbyist, I really appreciate that xTool provides quality machines at reasonable prices. I currently own multiple xTool lasers as well as their screen printer and heat press. The xTool D1 was my very first laser, and since then I've gotten the P2, F1 and S1. If I had to choose my favorite it would be the P2. The dual camera allows for perfect placement of my designs on my material. It cuts wood like butter and I enjoy being able to cut all acrylic even clear quickly and cleanly. I am also impressed with their proprietary software XCS. It is simple to use and xTool is always working to improve it. I am glad I took a chance on xTool years ago when comparing laser companies
I have been working with xTool machines for years now, and can confidently say they are incredible machines! I started with the original M1 from their kickstarter and eventually got the M1 Ultra, AP2, and mini heat press.
First of all, I am so impressed by all the features of their machines and how they always try to give us something never done before. Always thinking ahead and taking feedback, xTool always pushes innovation and strives to give us new amazing machines! I am always amazed by what the different machines can do and wish I could have them all!
As a company, they are so supportive and really listen. Between their Facebook groups and online support, they are always trying to help and take feedback seriously, implementing that feedback into their new machines and programs. I also love being a part of the xTool community, everyone is so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I really am honored to be a part of the xTool community and will always advocate for them! I can't wait to add more xTool machines to my inventory and make more amazing things.
I honestly owe everything to them. Without my xTool machines, I would have never been able to start and maintain my small business. Since I have the ability to make my own vector files, I have been able to make really unique pieces that help me stand out from other sellers at events and markets! Everyone is always so amazed that I make all my items myself with my machine. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to use a machine like this to make my ideas come to life.
I'm a diehard xTool fan and will always be!
I'm very happy with my machines. I started with the original M1 and then graduated to the M1 Ultra 20w when it was released. The M1 Ultra has been my workhorse. I'm not a mass producer, but it has handled every creation I've thrown at it. I'm also very happy with the recent number of updates to the software to make it more usable and functional.
I worked with Vanessa for 3 days asking questions going back and forth with what I was looking for she was amazing!!! She answered all my questions and went above and beyond! Can not wait for my new M1 laser to come!
I recently upgraded to the M1 Ultra from my original M1, thinking there might be some small differences; plus, I was really excited to try out the ink module in my designs (seriously, how cool is that?). But wow, I was not expecting such a big improvement!
First off, the packaging was impressive. Everything was packed so well that it arrived in perfect condition with no damage at all. Right out of the box, I could see the upgrades; the snapshot preview is surprisingly accurate (within just a few millimetres), and the new giant + for framing makes setup a breeze. The cut and engraving quality have also stepped up, and I’m loving the completely clear lid; it’s great for keeping an eye on projects and makes filming so much easier.
I’m really impressed with the M1 Ultra; it’s a fantastic starter laser and truly easy to use!
I have had the S1 2w IR module for over 1 year now and each and every time it is being used, it impresses m. I have engraved several large black cast acrylic portraits that have a photo finish. I highly recommend the 2w IR module from xTool. A+ product.
Alberitch did an awesome job getting us the parts we needed! Great job my friend and Thank you for your help
Hello XTOOLS,
I see your response to my review. January 6th is first response to my tickets and Customer Service calls; 3 of them for the last 3 weeks and company response is to a review; not my email or cell number with was provided.
ISSUE: Blue Light would auto move during operation. The blue light would move from the red dot towards the 12 0'clock position by 3 to 4" away. Could not calibrate due to blue laser staying at the very top outside the auto fucus and calibration and work area. So, if red and blue light are overlapping and calibrated. Move your finger from middle of overlapping red and blue light' move up to 1 " away from fan intake and that's where the blue light would stay. The blue light would try to auto re- a line, and fail, then the blue light would return to the top position and out of work area.
I have uninstalled your program from my new laptop and re-installed and updated. This fixed the auto blue light to properly line with the red guide light again after working properly for 3 months. I also explained it started working wrong after update. I have been able to run 6 jobs since then. All is working properly at this time.
This is my First Purchase with your Company and I'm on board with your products. But F1 Ultra is your new product and is going to have program bugs or other issues I am aware of. What I was not expecting was a delay in support on a new product. 2 weeks down and left in dark is unacceptable in my opinion.
I'm not the only one with this issue from what I have read, which means you are aware of this and there should contingency plan for faster response or at least troubleshooting check list on my first call. I got nothing.
Please improve going forward.
Shade & Gina

Don’t get an F1 Ultra
I purchased an f1 ultra and the laser misfired ruining my table and several laserable items. Customer service has been a nightmare to deal with. I’m still in the warranty period but they’ve just made the process to get an exchange or replacement unbearable. The exchange was an even amount but the rep who is only available from 10pm- 5am cst refunded 200.00 of a 4300 order when I specifically asked for an exchange.
It was done spitefully so I couldn’t exchange for a machine without paying more money.
At this point I’m ready to also return the m1 ultra also and just buy another brand. I spend over 6k in one month and can’t get a faulty machine exchanged or proper support. I suggest avoiding all together. I also have a glowforge and while the tech and power aren’t the same quality the customer service is much better.
After xtool reply:
I am doing an exchange the money should have never been refunded to begin with. Your employee acted maliciously and purposefully performed a refund knowing I asked for an exchange.

I placed an order on January 8 after speaking with someone via their chat. This person assured me that the laser machine would be shipped from Germany (which made sense since I live in Switzerland). The day after placing my order, I received an email informing me that some of the accessories could not be delivered to Switzerland. A day later, I was told that additional taxes would apply because the machine would ultimately be shipped from China.
Since then, it has been impossible to contact them: they do not respond to my emails, phone calls, WhatsApp messages, or chat inquiries, not even to the emails they themselves sent me. I have no way to communicate with them. My order is paid for, but it has not been shipped. I can’t even cancel my order or get a refund.
This company is completely unprofessional. Avoid them at all costs.

The biggest problem I have is that the machine was falsely advertised to have a 430mm by 430mm work space. When in fact the machine will only cut up to 11 inches. If the laser module gets within a few inches of the border, the machine beeps and stops working. It interrupts the cut and you have to start all over. This has wasted a ton of material and extremely limited our ability to make bigger projects.
We also purchased the Honeycomb and Air Assist because we mainly wanted to use this machine for wood and we wanted to limit the scorching and soot on the wood. The Air Assist does not do this, even when we try turning down the pressure, it instead blows the cut pieces out of place, which then get caught in the Laser Module and it drags the whole piece of wood along with it, once again wasting material and forcing me to start the project over.
The Air Assist also does not prevent scorching. I understand there will be some scorching, but the amount that is left on the piece is unreasonable. I've tried cleaning out the machine, I've tried different settings on the machine and on the Air Assist, I've tried different materials. Every piece I have ever cut has needed copious amounts sanding and finishing to look decent after being cut and engraved.
The laser also does not cut all the way through the wood, and we pretty much only use 3mm wood which is one the thinnest materials. We bought the xTool wood specifically as well to try it out and it gets the same result. No matter what settings I try this is always the case. I have to punch out or use a knife to cut the pieces I want away from the wood. What's the point in having a laser cutter if it doesn't cut all the way through. I constantly break the delicate pieces because the machine doesn't cut all the way through, and as you might have guessed, this costs me so much wasted time and material.
I have tried so hard to make this machine work. I have watched and read every tutorial, I have asked other people and nothing gets it to function the way it was advertised. I spent all of last year desperately trying to get my small business off the ground and the huge waste of time and material has caused me nothing but emotional and physical pain. I invested in this machine because I thought it would take some of the weight off my shoulders and provide a useful tool for me to get ahead.

Two months, no replacement—what a joke!
I sent my faulty laser TWO ( 2 !!!) months ago!!!! Still waiting for a replacement. Customer service? An absolute circus. They take two days to respond, only to send canned, robotic replies. It’s like they’re using Google Translate to barely scrape by in English. Clearly, understanding customers isn’t part of their business model. Their incompetence is almost impressive. If you value your time, money, or sanity, avoid this mess of a company like the plague.Stay far far away.

WARNING....DO NOT PURCHASE XTOOL EQUIPMENT!!!
We purchased a Smart Destop Laser Cutter & Engraver which never worked properly out of the box. Pictures were sent to xTool showing items burnt by Laser. They unequivocally refuse to refund us or send a new one.

I returned the m1 ultra because there are too many glitches. They didn’t want to return it to me and they kept offering me 3% back. So many of the functions are flawed. All the videos on people using it on YouTube are fakes. Don’t buy this. I’m waiting to see if I will get a refund. I may go to the media if they don’t.

Bought the first P2 with all add-ons. Great device. Bought the M1. Great device. Had problems: Great service. Bought more products e. g. for printing. So I am an experienced customer with xTool and I liked them. BUT:
I'm living in 2 EU countries, both part time. Tried to communicate with them to arrange delivery for yet another P2 with all add-ons. No answer. Weeks later an answer on the ticket but not on my question. Decided to go with the website information as I was 10 days before leaving and staying 3 weeks so more the one month to get the stuff. Told them after order, no anwer. Saw the delivery getting late and later. Now, a week from leaving the country, the laser is in the region and all problem with it as on UPS now. But they send the add-ons in 3 DHL parcels or better: They sent 3 tracking numbers but as of today only 2 were handed over to DHL effectively making the last one for sure too late to arrive while I am here (> 1 month later). Sent mails, daily, hourly. Not ONE reply.
This company became far too successful and needs a pause. Do not buy there if you have an alternative. I know they CAN do better and did. But you need to signal when things go south. This company has lost track on the most important thing: Customer care.
