Avoid at all costs and time!
Avoid at all costs and time! They will take a one-month or one-year upfront payment for an online SIM card, but it's impossible to register.. I was prepared to pay for the registration at an A1 store, but the keeped coming up as an error in their system. And every traffic store in Vienna I stepped into was not an option to register SIM cards. I returned the card, and I'm still waiting for a 34 euro refund. Customer services will just say that it's a requirement to register your card in Austria, and will ignore that every attempt you make to register is not working.
Paid but no eSIM received – extremely terrible support
I paid for an eSIM on Friday and the verification process was one of the worst I have ever experienced.
I uploaded all the required documents multiple times and the system simply did not work.
I then contacted support and sent my passport for manual verification. I waited the entire Friday and also today (Saturday). I contacted them many times and received dismissive replies like “we will help you as soon as possible” but no actual assistance.
I still have not received the eSIM email. Their support was available only until 5:00 pm, which left me without internet for the whole weekend, and I still don’t know if they will even respond next week.
This is extremely unprofessional and irresponsible service.
You will lose both your money and your time.
Avoid this company.
Worst internet in the world. Don't get this card if you can.
Worst internet in the world. I've traveled all Europe and North Africa and I didn't find such bad internet anywhere. In the countryside of Morocco with a local sim card is better internet than this.
I cannot comprehend how it's possible to provide a service, sell something, and make it so bad that the only thing you're selling doesn't work... How can someone work in such a bad company and not be ashamed of themselves? Terrible terrible service. Wow I did not expect this is possible in Europe.
If this happened to me somewhere in Kirgizstan, I wouldn't be surprised. But in EU this company should be banned.
unstable and slow
unstable, slow internet, 4g+ feels like 3g... 5g costs extra... I don't understand how can a company like this exists in Austria??

I am still struggling to even activate…
I am still struggling to even activate the SIM, it's been 2 weeks. I went from store to store trying to activate my SIM because for some reason the online photo verification is not working despite trying multiple times and writing to customer service. And no store even offers to register your SIM and activate it. I went to MediaMarkt, A1, Mobile shops, hartlauer.
Absolutely horrible. I've lost my money buying this SIM.
One of the worst companies out there
One of the worst companies out there, I think they are doing illegal stuff but for some reason nobody cares to investigate them. Had to cancel my contract, submitted all the documents as described in their page, and I get the answer after a few months that I still need to hand-write a termination letter even though I submitted the form they have created explicitly for this purpose. The reason why they answer a few months later is simply to keep charging you as long as they possibly could, and the funny part is that they will notify you about the hand-written termination letter one day after the pay day, so, you still get another month to be charged. Never using their service in my life again. Another lost customer for 20-30EUR extra they could squeeze in.
the worst internet on earth
Also commenting on Yesss.at…I agree with Greg!
Also commenting on Yesss.at (obviously). I concur with contributor Greg's important review and echo his most accurate assessment. I have been using this service for years, but it is all over now. For me, in my experience, something nasty has happened to Yesss, but relatively recently. Yes!, you will want to trust this company because it is easy, but you will discover that it (deliberately or whomever wilfully) could misappropriate your money. Maybe it is a money e-scam that the non-robust systems cannot detect and therefore prevent such scams. It could be a hacker-class entity that weak Yesss systems cannot deal with. But money pre-loaded into your account may be at risk of theft. I think that this development is quite new, overall. Also, customer services may be being conducted by AI bots per email. I was in communication with such an "operative" via email (stretching over weeks), "it" acted in a stable manner, used near similar language across all of the communications, duplicating info a lot and showing no human individuality - minor content acknowledgements, but never actually fully realising what the issue really was, i.e., potential fraud with money taken within the system and the system unable to report historic transactions - which is very odd for what should be a A1 supervised commercial enterprise. What A1 will ultimately say about this will be most interesting to hear if it turns out to represent theft on a commercial scale. This is the review and reflections merely of a customer. Good luck to all and I hope that Yesss may build systems that can actually detect and trace payments of all kinds, because evidence shows that this feature of their account management is quite absent. Regards!
They have bugs in their system, you will lose money without refund
They have bugs in their topup system. They know about it. I've lost 20 euros because of it. I Keep calling support, they open tickets to refund me 20 euros.
No refund... Calling support again, turns out tickets get closed with some made-up reason, just plain lying.
One month of runaround like this. No refund still.
Just avoid them.
"One-time purchase" are NOT possible to unsubscribe from. Therefore you are charged every month for them! Scam!
I bought a one time extra 1GB for €4 for 30 days cause I had no internet at home. It is NOT possible to remove this service and the support will NOT do this for you. Therefore when I want to renew my monthly €10-15 "basic package", €4 are taken BEFORE to add me 1GB. This makes absolutely no sens and is a huge scam. Since then it's not possible to unsubscribe from a one time service?
The support team is SO bad, waiting months to get an answer (when they decide they will actually answer to you) and makes NO effort to help you whatsoever. Just send them your PUK Code and ask to transfer your number.
Non existing support, crazy data package policy
It takes weeks to get an answer from support!
If you do not use the prepaid option it is impossible to activate a package for just a month/30 days, it has to include a whole month depending on the day you activated your contract.
So if your contract was signed on the 1st of a month and you want a data package on the 2nd for a month, this forces you to pay for two months.
This is the most ridiculous and confusing policy I ever encountered.
Poor policies, slow, rude, and unhelpful/useless support
They cancel your SIM contract without warning and try to move you to a more expensive plan if you don't use their SIM card for 12 months. I'm often abroad and now cannot authenticate with and use multiple Austrian governmental services/websites and possibly must travel back to Austria thanks to them. They also make BS excuses about "great demand" to justify (very) slow replies when you e-mail them.
Update: After e-mailing them (and waiting 2+ weeks), they agreed to keep contract and plan.
Update (12/03/2023): Contacted them to get a free replacement for me broken SIM card as stated in their form. They took weeks to reply and refused to follow their guidelines and provide an RMA number for me to send them my broken SIM card and get a free replacement as indicated in their form and instead rudely instructed me to purchase a new one (?!).
scammers
scammers. Internet is not working in busy hours. Every day. The support is not existent.
Terrible customer support experience
OK as long as you don't need customer service. Have been trying to reach someone for hours now after they sent me a text to call them for some issue paying my bill. After waiting between 5 - 15 minutes on the line I'm being transferred and hung up on. This pattern repeats on every call I'm doing. Not sure how to reach them and sort my issue.
Just terrible
False advertising, very unstable and slow internet (not even a quarter of the adverticed speed (well you'll get those speeds in the first 2 months)
Most of the offers are way overpriced so you'll be better of buying from a non-discounter
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. As they have no physical shops, you have to call their hotline. After more than 20min, an unfriendly lady picked up the phone and gave me the impression I’d bother her. After asking me my number, she hung up and now I’m waiting again 20+ minutes so someone can help me with the configuration of my internet.
False advertisement, slow internet
I changed my internet from HOT to Yesss because it offered 80 Mbps download speed for the same price. Since I have max 11 Mbps.
Georg, which also uses A1 network, was way faster with 40 Mbps download limit.
Now the worst provider!
Since yesss became a daughter company of A1 slowly things changed to the worse and now it is one of the worst services to buy!
You get ripped off by automatic recharges of 5€ of 1gb ndata which you can't turn off. Getting your left over money costs fees, which eat it up, when changing your provider suddenly you are bound by a cancellation period and all that is 'written somewhere' but nowhere when you buy the sim. Just a 'conditions on our website'. Not transparent, especially because the conditions are affecting negatively the customer.
The service doesn't work properly anyway, hence why i changed after a short re-try.
I am in the middle of a metropol and there is sometimes no service. The internet is so slow, it's embarrassing. Even a regular call is not stable sometimes and because there is no service, people couldn't even reach me.
They promise things only with conditions which they claim are written somewhere but not transparent.
Topic internet: they say it is 'up to' a certain speed, so they can offer whatever.
In my case it was under 50mbits sometimes and many times i only had an E or H connection. Generally it was under 90mbits and spotty.
It's hidden fees, blocked topped up money, terrible service, not transparent, unfriendly customer service and all in all not worth your money.
Once they were good. Now they are the worst.
I do not recommend them.
