I am a member of several online survey companies. I do surveys to supplement my income. YouGov is amongst my favorite survey companies because the surveys are usually short and interesting. The points accrue quickly and I get about three surveys per week. I just cashed out my very first payment and I had a virtual Visa card within five minutes. Great survey company to get involved with and I am a very satisfied member.

Good value, not a scam
Definitely not a scam, I got a $15 Visa prepaid card after accumulating 15,000 points. If you aren't verified, you won't get a 1,000 points to $1 conversion rate, it is more like 25k points for $15, then it gets closer until 100k points equals $100. Very good interface. Survey frequency varies, although I got a total of ~2 - 3 hours of surveys over a month before I was able to redeem my first giftcard.

While entertaining at times it also asked many questions I have no knowledge of.
The point system seems fair. The rewards take a few days but also seam to work out fine.

Exactly as advertised
By and large, the experience with YouGov is better than most survey companies I have tried. The points accumulate easily, the surveys are offered regularly (about 3-4 times per week), and I have had no negative results from sharing my information. Rewards are usually redeemed quickly and easily, and are sure to be of value to most people.
