Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 107 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Many customers appreciate the opportunity to report empty properties and receive a thank-you voucher, often an Amazon or M&S gift card, for their efforts. People find the process of submitting property details easy and straightforward, with many noting the quick turnaround for receiving their initial £20 voucher. Reviewers are also motivated by the potential to earn a percentage of the sale price if the company successfully purchases and renovates the reported property, seeing it as a good way to contribute to community redevelopment. However, some customers expressed strong disapproval of the company's business model, questioning their right to incentivize individuals to report empty homes and raising concerns about the impact on property shortages. A few other people also felt that the pricing of properties was unclear or that company representatives were dismissive when questioned about certain aspects of their operations.

I was a little sceptical at first but went ahead and let them know about a property near where I live. The process of letting them know was really easy and a couple of weeks later I have received a £20 M and S voucher. Will definitely be keeping my eyes out for other properties!!

The story of £1620 and a rat.

The story of £1620 and a rat.

I discovered an empty house on a cul de sac in a lovely area of Derby. I snapped a quick photograph and sent it in to You Spot Property. After a couple of days I received a £20 Amazon voucher and then just a few months later I was contacted by You Spot Property who told me that they had purchased the house and I was entitled to my 1% finders fee.
When I visited the property to receive my cheque for £1620.00 I was given the opportunity to look around the property. Before we could even open the side door to the property a rat ran from some rubbish that had built up by the house. Imagine having to live next to this so let’s turn properties like this into homes again.

Saw a TV advert asking viewers to report empty or derelict properties. Sent them details of a neighbouring house which has been empty for 10+ years. Thought no more of it but received an email to say that the property fitted their criteria and I had won a voucher, which duly arrived a couple of weeks later. Looking to see if they purchase the property but the odds are against, still you never know. Simples!

You Spot Property, you get money

I became aware of You Spot Property a couple of years ago when they were mentioned on TV. Luckly I kept a link to their wesite. A few weeks ago I came across an empty property and remembered that the company offered incentives for posting the property to them via there website. A little skeptic I sent them the property and true to their word they sent me an Amazon voucher. Sure you’re not going to make a fortune but for the simple act of sending them a property you get a couple of quid.

Great! Quick response, £20 voucher received

Previously tried to submit the empty property next-door to an alternative website (Empty Property Hunters), who took more than 5 months to respond with an email saying it didn't meet their criteria, but with no further explanation (as far as I could see, it fitted). Tried You Spot Property as we'd really like someone to try and get things moving with getting the house occupied, and they replied quickly to say it met their criteria and that a £20 voucher would be with me by the end of the following month. The voucher arrived early in the following month. Whether or not they are able to get things moving with the property itself, so far I'm impressed, and relieved that at least someone's taking an interest in sorting the property.

Does What It Says in The Advertising.

Was sceptical at first but despite that notified them of an empty property. Not long after I received an email to confirm that the property met their criteria. Some while later I received another email to tell me they had awarded me a £20 Amazon voucher. I followed the instructions and £20 has been added to my Amazon account balance. What's not to like. Brilliant. 😃

Got a voucher in place

Got a voucher in place, very pleased with all but one aspect of this company: time taken to respond with a yes or no in the first place. Still, I think I will keep them as my 1st choice of property spotted company 😃.

Highly recommended

Highly recommended! This is such a worthwhile initiative to help tackle the ongoing housing crisis here in the UK. On top of doing some good, the process is incredibly easy to use. I was delighted to receive a £20 M&S voucher as a thank you! Fingers crossed they make a purchase!!
