Vtuner is virtually a scam now given…

Vtuner is virtually a scam now given that you have to pay to get internet radio access and they do not answer requests for assistance. My Denon unit now defaults to a Spanish language station regardless of what I search for - I cannot access any BBC stations. Appalling that reputable equipment manufacturers have allowed access to be reliant on vtuner.

Don't buy anything that has ever used Vtuner

The first thing the company could do is to answer emails or answer the telephone. I have a Pioneer VSX-823 that I use primarily to stream radio. I started losing stations but my e-mails and telephone calls went unanswered. Pioneer weren't any help because they don't use Vtuner on their home theatres any more. I was put through factory resets, etc. and was finally told to get lost or buy a new unit. Their website still lists Pioneer and other manufacturers who have discontinued Vtuner. Dead companies like Vtuner shouldn't advertise as if they are alive.

Sent 5 emails over a 6 week period to add a new unit to my paid subscription with no response or action taken. I even sent an email to their marketing unit in the US. No response. Do not subscribe or pay for this service going forward. It looks like they went out of business.

Bad service and forced into yearly subscription

I bought an expensive new Marantz audio receiver and lost its internet radio feature less than a year after purchase because vTuner removed the Marantz feature and put it behind a PayWall. I am now being forced to pay a yearly subscription or to loose the feature, rendering part of my Marantz device useless. This is against UK consumer laws which state I should be able to enjoy my device and its features for 6 years after purchase. I have contacted the retailer and asked for a full refund and for the device to be sent back to Marantz.

Yamaha now wants to charge to use…

Yamaha now wants to charge to use internet radio streaming on very expensive Surround sound devices. This is the incentive to replace all my Yamaha with another brand. Not that the Yamaha service has a poor reputation as well
