Great Product, horrible shipping and embarrassing customer service
My brother, sisters and I lost our mom in 2014 and our dad last November 2019. This month (Oct. 2020) would have been their 58th wedding anniversary. In an effort to honor their commitment to each other, I wanted our families to have something that we could have in our homes that would perfectly identify who our parents were. I found the 16x20 cardinal canvas “when you believe” to be perfect because it displayed a male and female cardinal (both parents loved birds) and it’s message of faith and love. I decided to order a canvas to ensure that it was of good quality. It arrived, I opened the box and it was perfect. I immediately ordered three more and had them shipped directly to my brother and sisters at their individual residences in the same town in MD. I received notification that all three shipped the same day (9/25). One sister received her canvas on Monday, 9/28, my brother received his on Tuesday morning, 9/29. On Thursday, 10/1 I began tracking my other sister’s shipment only to find that it shipped from NY to CT to NJ to MD, then for some reason went to PA then back to NJ where it has evidently sat since the last tracking update of 10/2. When I emailed zalooo support to ask for assistance in determine delivery, I included screenshots of the tracking and the response I received was “we can confirm that package is on its way to its destination”. Well, that i already knew (and I gave them that information)...no apology for the inconvenience. There was no attempt to assist whatsoever. Two days later and no delivery or update on the USPS website. I sent another email to zalooo support asking them to intervene and contact their chosen vendor for shipping (which I paid for) to locate the shipment and see if there is a delivery date. Their response, could be delayed due to Covid-19 and to wait 5-7 business days to contact them. Again, no attempt to assist. Clearly when 3 items are shipped from the same place, picked up at the same time and going to the same town and 2 of the three arrive 3 and 4 days after shipping, it is not a delay due to Covid-19. When pointing out the delivery of the other shipments and the obvious human error on part of the USPS, I asked (again) that they contact their vendor of choice and help resolve this. Another brush off. I have asked for a phone call from a supervisor or manager but I’m hearing crickets. Great product...it is a shame and an embarrassment for Zalooo that they seem to care less about their customer and the reason why and what occasion a purchase from them may represent. A complete lack of empathy and effort to pick up a phone and contact a vendor to expedite or prioritize a shipment stuck somewhere in NJ. It can be done...it just takes a little initiative and realization of how your company survives...making sure your customers are happy.
Update 10/11. Still no delivery. Still no call from anyone OR a response to emails. On USPS tracking site there are 3 updates since 10/2 when it sat in NJ for a few days. Two updates on 10/9 when it arrived and departed a facility in DC. Today, it’s on the way to the next facility “and on target to arrive at its destination”.
I did receive an email from zalooo requesting a review of my experience. I did take the time to let them know of my experience...it will be interesting to see if they actually post it.
Update 10/19....4th shipment finally received but still hearing crickets instead of a call or some sort of communication from Zalooo. Complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau. You just can’t ignore your customer and hope they will go away.
