Complete scam

Complete scam. We had a boiler fitted last year and payments were to start now, however I cannot contact ANYONE at zanussi as they have gone bust and I need a breakdown of work done before I pay. We were told we were covered for 10 yrs which I've since found out is only 2yrs, I was charged for boiler relocation which wasn't done and system flush which wasn't done. I know have to pay ikano bank money every month for 10yrs?? How can they get away with this 😫

Like many other on here my elderly father has…

Like many others my elderly father has fallen victim to the zanussi fraud
Not long after he had a stroke and was struggling with his memory
He had a salesman knock his door and convinced him he needed a new boiler (he didn't the old one was fine) He set up a DD that went to Ikano bank for 55 pound a month for 10 years!!!!
The boiler has broken down so many times and it's cost us a fortune to get repaired because like many on here there is no way to contact them.
I've since stopped the DD and we are waiting for a new boiler to be fitted by another company as its broke down again
I'm so so angry they could take advantage of an pensioner
STAY CLEAR OF THE ZANUSSI FRAUD

The company has gone

The company has gone into administration apparently. Contact your HIES warranty providers for advice. If you are paying for your boiler via a loan, contact the loan providers to dispute the loan, especially of you are paying for a servicing contract that can no longer be fulfilled.

Totally conned

Like many previous review writers, we have also fallen victims to the Zanussi boiler fraud. Hugely overpaid for the new Ultra Combi 35 boiler in 2017, sold to us by a door salesman (never again!), he promised 10 years parts and labour warranty and annual service, both of which are now unavailable. As many others, we cannot contact Zanussi boilers in any way, the phone number is not working, homepage does not exist anymore and Facebook page has not been updated since June last year. Where do you go from here? Ombundsman?

Our issue is the constant drop in pressure which means no hot water and heating, until pressure is restored. This used to happen once in a while, while now it's every single day, sometimes more often. Boiler engineer has checked it and the heat exchanger has cracked and needs replacement - this is only after 4 years of use! This means there is a leak into condenser drain pipe which causes pressure drop. So now we're going to have to pay for part change and labour, even though we've already paid for this to Zanussi boilers. Angry is understatement.

Disgracedul company…

I had a Zanussi boiler sales rep attend my home in 2018, who spent 4 hours selling me a new boiler, with a few new radiators which I was told would include a 10 year warranty and service plan. I was massively overcharged, however thought peace of mind was important.
Subsequently, the Worcester boiler which was installed by a subcontractor has repeatedly brojen down, a radiator flooded our living room and basement and now I have no heating at all.
I cannot contact Zanussi directly as their website is gone, their customer service absent and noone will help.
Worcester came out to inspect the boiler and have said it wasn't installed correctly. They therefore won't help. The subcontractors who installed it refuse to help and no other company will touch it.
I am now left with a huge debt, no heating, in a freezing house with 2 kids and nowhere to turn. This company is a disgrace. They have destroyed my mental health and faith in humanity as well as my home. FO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

Impossible to contact for support

I am having issues with my zanussi boiler which was purchased in 2019. I have tried contacting the phone number and website on my contract as advised, the phone has no answer at all and the website is constantly redirected to a pub/restaurant?

I have tried searching for the appropriate contact several times to no avail. The only contact I have been able to find is an email from a response on trust pilot dates June 2021 which bounced back when emailed.

I have now tried several numbers, none get answered. Starting to think that they’re not in business anymore?

No idea where to go from here.

Do Not Buy Zannusi

Bought a combi boiler in 2017 .. Got a service this week and was told zannussi have used the wrong pipes . Should be 22mm and not 15mm which means my boiler is dangerous and isnt pumping enough gas through the system , input MB is dangerously low as a result .. Engineer who fitted this would of known he was doing this and should not have a licence . Zannussi have no customer service , each number rings out when you call , every email i have sent has been ignored . DO NOT BUY ZANNUSI ...

Absolutely appalling from start to…

Absolutely appalling from start to finish. Over priced, fitted incorrectly. Contract (2016/17)was for boiler and radiators. Boiler was fitted by another company and on not getting hot water it was discovered that the main gas pipe into the boiler was the wrong size. Radiators were never fitted and we are having to pay for them with interest. Have tried to contact them on numerous occasions by phone, email (email to them has been blocked) and letter with proof of work we ordered (and not carried out) sent by special delivery.....no reply or recognition of receiving it..... and their phone just rings and rings. If I could give a minus I would. Seething at the amount of time I have spent chasing this up. Perhaps I should charge them for the hours wasted on my precious days off

Completely disgusted with this company

Completely disgusted with this company. They cold called my elderly parents (one hard of heading, the other with vascular dementia), and pretended they were from British Gas. The salesmen that I found present in my parents house did NOT correct my mum when she told me they were from British Gas. They were sales reps working for Zanussi. They sold them a "British Gas" so say boiler, and also gave a very nice present to themselves of a couple of hundred pounds on top of the price that it should have been, until I complained and the got the additional money back from overpricing. To my horror it is not British Gas after all. And British Gas won't touch these boilers, so we can't get it serviced; And even worse they are far far too complicated for elderly and vulnerable people to operate. My dad needs us every time to turn it down, turn it on, turn it off. Absolute crap. Stupid and over-complicated design for anyone to use, let alone an elderly person on their own. It was a clear aggressive sales drive by Zanussi to target the very vulnerable. DO NOT BUY.

Great service, helpful and friendly great boiler

I had a zanussi boiler fitted a short time ago, the price was very competitive as I need additional pipework, The engineer Richard who fitted worked hard all day and was the friendliest and helpful chap ever! great customer service from Zanussi during the job period, and the boiler itself is fantastic

A good boiler upgrade.

We had a good, but ageing Vaillant boiler, and the 2025 "ban the gas boiler" looming, so when the Zannussi opportunity presented itself, I grabbed it.
A good product. Better temperature control with the remote thermostat. Less gas burned for the same heating. Efficient and courteous installation enginneer.

Nice one overall…

I was insured with Scottish Power and on informing them of boiler failure was put in touch with Domestic and General Home Assist 365, who arranged for a local S Wales firm to assess. They were pretty quickly, polite and helpful, and when the boiler was declared irreparable I was offered a Zanussi replacement. I guess the price was more than another supplier/fitter might offer and it was not made clear at that stage that a7 year warranty would apply (could I have refused that?) but one is geared to say Yes for convenience, pay the deposit and agree. The fitting was efficient and the Zanussi-badged Ideal boiler, coincidentally what all ‘mates who know’ recommended, seems fine. One B was never quite sure which of the three organisations would be phoning for info, but all seems well and once the warranty Reg arrives I can presumably just arrange a yearly Service to ensure continued cover. Overall v good.
