I got my new apartment through Zeitwohnen Rhein Ruhr. I was living in another state which made going back and forth to visit apartments extremely difficult and costly. However, with Zetwohnen, they helped to get an apartment in one week without a visit and without usual bureaucracy and piles of documents (I am not sure if this applies to all landlords or I was just lucky, but it is clear that they are trying to make things easy and flexible in general). It was especially pleasant to deal with Mr. Sözmen from Zeitwohnen as I don't speak German, and he speaks both German and English. He was very nice and helpful, and he worked very fast in contacting the landlord and making arrangements.

Very helpful and efficient in helping me as a non-German-speaker find a suitable property and complete the necessary paperwork.

The service is brilliant - they respond so fast and an English translation of rental contract is provided. After submitting a request online at 5:00am, I received a response in the morning on that day, and even had appointments for room review in the evening. I decided to rent the one of them immediately, and signed the contract next day.

Hi there, thanks for your response. It is extremely disappointing that you’re trying to discredit my experience with incorrect information.

1 - The landlord has not transferred the deposit on Friday 19th as you / he claim's, which you were made aware of by a follow up email from my lawyer the following Tuesday. She has been chasing both you and the landlord for several weeks now with no response until I posted this review.

2 - While there was a small disagreement with the bills it was resolved while I was still in the apartment. It has no relevance to the deposit being paid back.

The reason for the review was to alert others to my experience because as I’ve already mentioned, I am still now waiting for my deposit back. If he claims to have paid it back, can you please provide me proof of this? As you can appreciate, this whole process has caused undue stress on my part and I would just like it resolved.

I have unfortunately had a terrible experience from the rental I found through Zeitwohnen. Not only did I have several issues with the property upon arrival, I have also been out of the property for nearly 7 months and am still owed my deposit money back from the landlord. Continuous attempts have been made to contact both the landlord and the people at Zeitwohnen without response, help or action to prevent this happening to someone else. I am disappointed this property is still listed on their website as they are fully aware of the issues with the landlord.

I was supported by very efficient consultant.
He was very supportive, and manage to get the required apartment even taking into account my specific requests.
Everything went fast and smooth, waiting for the next steps of rental for final opinion but so far perfect service!
