Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the artificial intelligence detection to be highly inaccurate, frequently flagging human-written text as AI-generated, even when comparing it to other detectors that showed 0% AI. Customers reported that the tool often produced inconsistent results upon rechecking the same text and sometimes even identified AI-generated content as human-written. This led to frustration and a perception that the tool was unreliable and ineffective. However, some customers also noted a positive user experience, finding the website easy to navigate and smooth-running without technical issues. A small portion of people were satisfied with the service quality, describing it as decent and reliable, and appreciated the clear interface and understandable results.

Accused of cheating

I got accused of cheating because it returned "100% AI" when my teachers put my essay through the checker, even though I entirely wrote it myself.

ZeroGPT is a ploy to make you use their services: it will flag anything you write as AI, then tell you to use their humanizer. This way, they make more ad revenue. Please use GPTZero instead.

Horrible, fake, not accurate

Horrible. I pasted text that I 100% wrote all myself and it still came back as 100% AI. Do not recommend using, Grammarly or another website is much better. So much for having “high accuracy”. I am never using this again.

I really hope people don't use this app…

I really hope people don't use this app to check for AI generated text because it takes anything written with correct grammar and says it's AI generated.

Not only it discredits human work, but it can be also damaging to students/anyone that's being accused of using AI/plagiarism.

There is no way to accurately determine whether a text is AI generated. This app is proof enough of that.

I just tested my own 12 page essay…

I just tested my own 12 page essay (which I spent 2 weeks writing WITHOUT any AI) and it came back as 95% AI generated. This AI Checker is completely random and UNRELIABLE. I am disappointed.

Very Skeptical and It Paid Off

I was skeptical and wanted a so I selected a random paragraph from People.com the News site and it came back as 100% A.I. generated even though numerous other platforms with AI Detection show 0%. The highest detection was on GPTZero (Not ZeroGPT) and was 2% This is why I believe ZeroGPT is a scam because that post was written by Lynsey Eidell, a Villanova graduate with more than 15 years of experience in journalism.

It's completely a disaster

It's completely a disaster.
ZeroGPT flagged my text as AI-generated, even though I wrote it entirely myself. I even tried copying a research article that's over 20 years old, yet ZeroGPT still showed an 85% AI detection score—despite AI not existing back then. Absolute rubbish

Unreliable/inaccurate

Why would this claim to have an accuracy of 98%, I can write a paragraph about myself and it will say the content is 100% generated by AI. This zeroGPT tool is poor, they should be not be claiming accuracy of 98% when 98% of the time they are likely to give false positives!

Zerogpt is TRASH!!

Zerogpt is TRASH!!! I literally took a text from Microsoft copilot and it said 0% AI? WTH?! And let's do not forget about THE FREAKING AMOUNT OF ADS IN THAT FREAKING WEBSITE!!!! I mean, because of the ads it took me 5 FREAKING MINUTES to PASTE my test in the site. 0 stars. I wouldn't recommend. (btw I had to change all the bad words with "censored" words, just so you know, I wouldn't be so nice to them by myself)

A piece of garbage

ZeroGPT is nothing but a piece of garbage. It keeps flagging everything as AI-generated despite being written from scratch. Avoid it!

ZeroGPT is useless tool

ZeroGPT is a total disaster. If you’re looking for a reliable AI detector, this is not it. It’s a glorified joke that can’t tell its ass from its elbow. The results are all over the place, and it consistently fails to differentiate between human and AI text in any meaningful way.

I’ve never seen such a piece of garbage tool in my life. It flagged perfectly normal human writing as AI-generated while letting obvious AI text slip through. It’s like it’s randomly guessing and hoping for the best. Save yourself the frustration and don’t waste your time with ZeroGPT. It’s not just bad; it’s infuriatingly worthless.

Ripoff of the real zerogpt site

Note: zerogpt.com is a fake ripoff site. I've loaded human text that I wrote and got 100% AI, and I've had ChatGPT4 write things and zerogpt.com said it was 100% human. It's probably just a random result generator, as someone already suggested.

The real zerogpt software can be found at zerogpt.net. That one works much better, although I'm still generally dubious of AI detectors.

This tool gives fake positives

This tool gives fake positives. I checked my work using all other AI checkers and it came out as human written. But this one gives a 77% AI written. Very fake!!
