Impressive service

Not having previously heard of Rubbersole and after reading some fairly negative reviews, I was a little reluctant to place an order; I decided to chance it and I am pleased I did. Their customer service is impressive. It is refreshing to be able to easily contact an online trader by phone, to have them answer and to be able to hear and understand them clearly.

I feel I was mis-sold the broadband…

I feel I was mis-sold the broadband package by EE, done over a lengthy telephone call where I was told that not only would I be receiving a like-for-like service for a more favourable price but that the speeds would be better than with BT. I called on two separate occasions speaking with two different operatives to ensure I ensure I had all the facts before finally committing myself on the third call. I was told that in April next year all BT residential customers would be migrated  to EE anyway.  As with BT I also have 2 WiFi extenders which I am now being charged for.  I am currently waiting for the third telephone conversation recording to be investigated to verify what was said. I did not have the opportunity to cancel within 14 days because EE were sending confirmation emails etc to a bogus email address, evidently one made up using my full name.  I am now tied into a contract with EE until 26 July 2026 but I am seriously contemplating taking this further if they do not honour what they stated and as I was not given the opportunity to cancel within the 14 days cooling off period. The whole process has been a shambles, stressful and continues to be time consuming.  My broadband, tv and WiFi with BT worked without fault from the start but with EE WiFi keeps dropping out and the speeds are continuously inferior to what was promised sometimes to the point where it’s not even possible to perform a Speedtest. All the equipment (tv, router, extenders ) are  positioned exactly as  they were with BT, yet I was told yesterday that the WiFi upstairs was weak and intermittent because my TV is connected via WiFi. On a positive although changing my mobile plan was also fraught with issues where again, they had to refer to the recorded telephone conversation for verification, I have been a satisfied EE customer for my mobiles for many, many years, however I am appalled by this experience.

NO RESPONSE

It has been virtually impossible to make contact with uk.icebreaker.com. An automated email containing links and a recorded message from a German customer service number is as far as i’ve Got. The customer service number stated on the website no longer exists. Given the poor/non existent customer service i am too concerned to place my first ever order and more so now that I see their quality is as poor. Perhaps the review for the ‘great’ customer service is not a European customer. I would be interested to know if this is the norm for this company.....

Withings Activité Sapphire and customer service

I wish I had come across trust pilot review before dealing with company.
Regarding the watch - it is good looking as is the leather strap and fairly easy to set up. I have fairly sturdy wrists for a woman but find the strap is rather long. For anyone considering purchasing the Activité Sapphire it is worth noting that the watch continually slides towards the outside of the wrist; I believe this is due to it sitting proudly on the wrist and perhaps the weight. Regarding customer service - as seems to be the norm for French companies, they do not seem to understand the concept. I received fairly prompt replies to my pre purchase questions, although at one point I did have to telephone their head office who prompted customer services to respond. Since purchasing the watch I have had NO response whatsoever to any of my queries, including one regarding the strap which arrived marked. This time when I tried to telephone their head office, bearing in mind that it is the only available telephone number available to customers, I was greeted with a recorded message informing me that my call could not be taken, that no message could be left and to try again later; this is so typical in France. Hopefully Withings will take note of their feedback and put appropriate measures into place but in the meantime my advice is to think carefully before committing to a purchase. I will update this review should Withings get their act together.
