Consistently best value

When I need heating oil I always compared prices and this company was always best value so now I don't bother to compare any more. Sometimes the tank can't quite take the 1000 litres ordered and the credit arrives in my account just days later.

The car fetched a few hundred pounds…

The car fetched a few hundred pounds more than I thought and I was impressed the funds were in my account before the drivers called to collect. I'm in my eighties so the photo taking was a bit tedious but I can't think of any improvements Motorway should make! Thoroughly recommended!

All went really smoothly on the Raisin…

All went really smoothly on the Raisin site. My only problem was Santander Bank re-acted badly when I attempted to make a £20K investment and immediately denied access to my own account - only re-admitting me after two days - they said their system did not recognise Starling Bank!

Confirmation of Payee is a name-checking service warning bank and building society customers receive, when a payee’s name doesn’t match the account number they have entered. It was rolled out by six of the UK’s biggest banks in early 2020 at the direction of the Payment Systems Regulator, who are a subsidiary of the FCA. Participating banks are: Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, RBS, Santander and Nationwide Building Society. However, some other UK banks have also implemented this system.

Starling Bank, the service bank for your Raisin UK Account, have not yet implemented Confirmation of Payee for the Raisin UK Account. We are working on introducing this feature in the future and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Claim only paid after three months of sheer incompetence

The agent, TCF, West Malling, Kent is just hopeless - they requested same documents repeatedly, said they had lost the claim altogether, copied me into emails saying "there's nothing on the system" etc. They respond to emails with automatically generated replies asking for 15-20 working days to reply. I appealed twice to Alpha Insurance to intercede but they didn't reply at all!
