When needing to iron out a few details…

When needing to iron out a few details with Awaze in all instances the best thing has been the lovely staff. The only point of slight annoyance has been the wait for changes to be put into action eg. one's amendments - there seemed a disconnect.
Very pleasant staff, I presume just needing more of them.

For Pity's Sake, Don't use SSE.

In early November 2020, I inherited SSE as a supplier of electricity to my holiday cottage in NW Scotland. It has two meters, one for Standard energy, the other for Heating Control energy. The meter readings bear no relationship at all to the electricity being used (due to Covid-19, I have had two guests for a week each during the 5 months we have owned the property, and it has been turned off for the rest of the time). I have been trying to sort this issue out with them since December, with numerous calls from me to them - they always say they will get a manager to call me back within 24 hours - of course this never happens. Even though I have been giving the company meter readings each time I have spoken to them, I have just today received a bill for £338.63 for the last quarter's usage (on an empty property!!), but based on an estimated reading!!! They really don't know their a**e from their elbow, and I have instigated complaints both through their internal system and through the Energy Ombudsman. I have now been waiting for more than half an hour for the poor sap I'm speaking to to find a manager who can actually do something rather than feed me platitudes and promises - I'm not going anywhere, other than Watchdog and Radio 4's Money Box Live. I will be demanding compensation from them.
