AVOID

AVOID! This company is US based and purporting to be a bona fide UK company called HearWell. This company is Gethearwell, an online company selling aids purporting to be worth £3,000. My experience like many others has been that the purchase of these aids that appear to be amplifiers can actually damage your hearing (so I had been advised by a trustworthy hearing aid company). I purchased these on the basis of a 45 day home trial butbthe product was not fit for purpose and when I asked for an address to return the product I was refused unless I agreed to a “compassionate grounds offer” of which was less than a third of what I had paid. Naturally I refused the offer becuase the product was useless and needed to be returned. If the company that has responded below is a bona fide company then they would have no problem in offering up their UK return address to return these “made in china” products and refunding them as per our UK laws. I don’t need to expose my order number or verify anything further. My experience alone is an honest and appropriate review to protect the UK public from these sort of dealings.

We're unsure what to make of this review, as it doesn't appear to reflect a genuine experience with our company.

We're not sure which "bona fide UK company" you're referring to, or what we're supposedly trading off the name of. Whatever experience you may have had with other companies should not be projected onto a completely unrelated business.

Our hearing aids are certified devices, not simple amplifiers, and meet all required safety standards. The claim that they "can actually damage your ear drums" is a serious accusation without any basis or evidence.

There's no mention of an actual order, any interaction with our team, or any specific experience with the product itself. If you have genuinely purchased from us and have concerns, we'd encourage you to contact us directly so we can look into your case.

Terrible

Terrible. Only money orientated. Completely ignored the state of my pet to the point of him being at deaths door after 10 days of revenue raising with stressful unnecessary tests. Over medicated with wrong meds and wrong dose amounts. He was so far gone by the time I got to a good vets I now have to put him to sleep. AVOID this avaricious corporate group (owned by Mars) if you care about animals then get your pet to a better vet! They should be struck off!

Appalling

Appalling, they don’t even deserve one star!
£400 for putting my pet on 20 minutes worth of oxygen. The vet, a Spanish man who commutes from Madrid (wages must be good here) spent 5 minutes with us and put the animal on oxygen for 20 minutes while he attended another patient. Boom! Thank you very much KERCHING!! That’ll be £400 please. Next! Sends him home - he’s fine, nothing wrong, he says. 10 days later my pet is having to be put to sleep.

Daylight Robbery! I’ve just left the Langney shopping…

I’ve just left the Langney shopping David Neal dentist outlet with my jaw dropping.
They contacted me for a check up. No price mentioned btw. I waited 40 minutes later than the appointment to be seen and it took less than 5 minutes to check my teeth. Yep everything fine, just as I thought, a little mirror to inspect and a prod here and there. Something I do regularly at home. I didn’t even receive so much as a clean. Probably no need as my teeth are absolute tip top condition. So when I headed for the door half thinking that it must have been just to check all was ok for the future appointment they had pushed my way for a crown at a cost of £1,500. I heard. Would you be paying by card? Heading back to the counter….Oh right, I said, how much is it? That’ll be £65.
£65!?! You’re joking! He didn’t do anything I remarked………I’m sorry she said and looked genuinely very sorry if not a tad guilty for having to rip people off. Then handed me the card machine. I was flabbergasted.
David Neal franchise are taking the mick. Find yourself a dentist that’s not so greedy on their pricing. Or at least does something for the money they ask for!

AVOID
So, I’ve changed my review to reflect the truth as the response to my original review basically accused me of being a liar. TRUTH is Amanda, who is a director of this man and wife team should be able to accept that they made a huge mistake by using the wrong tint on my glass after having been asked to wait! And then proceeded to badger me into payment for what was clearly their mistake but to audaciously then tell me that if it was wrong it will cost me more money to have them come out and fix it. 😂
I had two words in my head I would have liked to have responded with. But, BEWARE and AVOID will do. Or record your conversations to refer to later because clearly my instructions fell on deaf ears…..and …you are correct Amanda I am not nice to people who try to take advantage of me!

Oh dear. Here we are again. I'm unsure why this lady repeatedly posts 1* reviews and when I answer, she deletes them and starts again.

I'm confident that anyone reading this review will make up their own mind about the reviewer and will understand why we decided we were unable to help her moving forwards (which I think is the true reason for her dissatisfaction).

Very angry lady, very shouty and unpleasant on the telephone and a poor representation of the facts when leaving her repeated reviews.

Despite our very best efforts to help this lady match some old tints fitted by another company, no work was carried out and no payment taken.

As I said in one of my previous replies and I rarely feel like this as most of our customers are absolutely lovely, but sometimes, some customers are just so unpleasant, that when they leave a negative review and threaten not to use you again, it comes as a relief.

Steer Away!

Steer Away! This company will get everything wrong and create much more problems than they are worth. They have a team of incompetent people. I have been trying to get them to sort my blind for FIVE YEARS.
Do yourself a favour, find a better company because there are lots of good people out there that supply Markilux blinds and other good makes. Take heed of this review - I've saved you a big fat headache!

Best cocktail ever. I’ve been searching for years for a non…

I’ve been searching for years for a non alcoholic spirit for cocktails. The Bax botanics verbena hit the spot. My recipe for a delicious cocktail is to pour Verbena over ice, add a sprig of lemon thyme or a fresh sprig of lemon verbena, slice of lemon and add elderflower tonic. Or, splash it with cucumber tonic and add a slice of cucumber and a sprig of mint. The bottles are a great shape too and useful for oils and dressings. Everyone I served these too wanted more. Great product, excellent service and good old English family business. Very satisfied customer.

BAD experience

Our experience was a bad one.
Please don't let this company take advantage of you during your hours of grief. They failed us and did not fulfill their promise as a business. Still, they took the extortionate fee! We were not given the chance to give our pet the beautiful send-off that this vet has thoroughly advertised. We received a pointless 'sorry' with no attempt to compensate.

Impressed customer

Impressed customer! The tofu cat litter was a god send! My poor sick cat struggled with pellets and clay litter and the silica stuff is just wrong. For cleaning the tray it’s brilliant and no clumping chemicals. No smells even after pee and poop but let’s face it if your litter tray smells it’s not being cleaned properly. It’s best most natural, healthiest litter I’ve used for my cat. Quick attentive service too from this company.

Purchased 4 expensive boxes of…

Purchased 4 expensive boxes of Glucosamine only to find out (after much research and doctors appointments) that Glucosamine does NOTHING without taking with Chondroitin. Purolabs do not sell chondroitin and even though stated they’ve upgraded the glucosamine (so I was sold a dud product) it still won’t work without the chondroitin so don’t waste your money! Check on the clinical reviews site on the best supplements first.

Misleading

ok...so I googled box caterpillar after seeing my infested buxus hedge and was directed to Ridchard Jacksons herbal organic buxus spray believing this was the product to get rid of the pest - I purchased 3 x concentrate herbal mix to spray. I used 2 bottles and it's done JACK....I still have the caterpillars and when I read the small print it's basically a leaf shine! So feels like a total waste of money! Cross that I was directed to this product.OK, so I just read the prompt reply from Richard Jackson and that’s fine but the product needs to say that! Finding it out after spending fifty quid in August to then be told it works from March is irritating.

Hi Micky - due to the multiple growth cycles of box caterpillar this product is most effective when you start using it in March, when the insect is still in its larval stage. With regular use from March to September our tests show it is very effective at keeping buxus caterpillar free. If your buxus was already heavily infested the spray acts as a deterrent, making the leaves less appetising to the insect, but it is not an insecticide product so it would not kill the caterpillars.

I’d prefer to give minus stars

Well. Zenith resolved the dispute and refunded the £30 fee (rightly so) but this morning another (unauthorised) transaction of £170 has been made from Zenith on my c/c 😡….. I’d prefer to give minus stars - be warned! This company has hidden fees before you even take out your policy! Their road recovery service is nowhere near as good as Saga, their customer service is take it or leave it attitude and you should have read all the terms and conditions. Don’t tick any boxes with this company until you have read every detail. Not worth it!

Good bit of kit to deter pigeons but…

Good bit of kit to deter pigeons but they know when it’s staying still (no wind or stuck in a branch) and within minutes they are there! Guess we couldn’t have won the war without these birds but the kite is efficient in deterring them providing it is flying. Easy to put together but I found I had to tape the wires securely in place to stop them coming apart.

The new Eastbourne store was a fab…

The new Eastbourne store was a fab experience, so much more to see! The staff very pleasant and attentive. Some great value brushed cotton bed linen was ordered online with an extremely efficient click and collect service! The assistant went out of her way to ensure I got my goods a day earlier than was expected, saving my driver extra time and petrol in a petrol crisis!

Purina gourmet salmon terrine is…

Purina gourmet salmon terrine is expensive and filled with cereal. My cat licks off the meat content which is very little. I’d say 2/3 of the tin is cereal.
Not worth it and full of preservatives. Fed up trying to find decent cat food. Seems to be a bit of a money making racket!
Id like to add photos of the can content but review doesn’t allow.

89% bad reviews, says it all. Five stars for wasting my time.

I think 89% bad reviews says it all. My experience was also a waste of time. Alongside many others it seems. You are up against total nepotism between colleagues and the businesses they investigate. A campaign needs to get started to get rid of these guys - they are a total waste of money and not fit for purpose. My investigator blatantly told me “ it’s not about what’s fair”. Shocked at this I reported her to her team leader. Her TL listened to the phone calls and denied that the investigator said such a thing. I requested the recorded calls. They took three months to send them.Guess what? Clear as a bell, there it was. The truth. THEY LIED! After dealing with the original investigator and her condescending, power stricken ego I chose to have the case reviewed by another ombudsman. A person I assumed would remain unbiased. Railroaded into getting my information in on time by the original investigator for the new ombudsman, the documents were thoroughly read and commented on by the original investigator who then got to choose which person she preferred to review the case that she failed in. How does that work? It’s called Nepotism! After having told me that my new evidence was crucially important I personally think her nose was out of joint due to the fact that I included in my new evidence a complaint about her performance or lack of as the case proved to be. My new documents entailed evidence in my favour that were never even considered by the new investigator. The final decision came back within a record 6 days after my submission which took months to read and prepare. After 14 months the new ombudsman came back with her rendition of her work on it? Really? It totally smacked of untruths, favouritism and bureaucratic crap. The so called new ombudsman, an ex lawyer and insurance adjuster was ripe and ready to refuse my claim before she even bothered to go through it thoroughly. Guess what? My case complaint? Against an insurance company. Some of biggest scammers in the business. Insurance companies pay these people to basically give them feedback so they can cover up more of their, let’s say, in discrepancies. I’m disgusted with all of them, the way they work between themselves is only for their benefit. The investigator, her team leader, their manager and most of all the ex solicitor and insurance adjuster who claimed she had read every file on my case claim to all be totally unbiased. Utter BS. It would have been impossible in the short space of time that she made her decision to have read all my documents and gone through my new evidence which should have been upheld. To top it all the insurance company reckons they couldn’t find the necessary documents which would have also added to the evidence of my case. That says it all. The new ombudsman, the first investigator, the team leaders, the managers, they all stick together. THESE PEOPLE ARE NO HELP TO THE PUBLIC WHATSOEVER. Like I said in the beginning LOOK AT THE PERCENTAGE OF THE REVIEWS! If we all didn’t bother they wouldn’t have a job. Goodbye time wasters. You got five stars for being that!

Beware No refund if item wrong

No refund policy so am stuck with the goods. The items ordered were not fully described and proved useless on arrival. The parcels had no delivery note or returns option and on reading their returns policy, they really don't have one so beware.
